CHAPTER THREE
DANIEL'S POV:
As I was randomly moving through the city in search of someone, I reached an ice-cream stall. 'It's freaking hot~ I should get some ice-cream'. I thought and started to walk towards the stall.
Since I was wearing a hoodie to protect myself from the inflaming sun, it was hard to see straight. As I was walking towards the stall, I bumped into someone. Instinctively, I reached out to grab her which ending up with me hugging her.
'I should stop!' I wanted to leave her but something was tantalizing about her that made me hesitant. 'What is this smell?' As I was wondering, the girl started to create a scene and shout as to how I ruined her ice-cream. 'She is quite energetic to shout in this fu*king weather!'
Because she was struggling pretty hard, it was becoming hard for me to hold her. I was about to release her when, mistakenly, my lips touched her neck.
'Inquisitive! For someone to have such flawless and impeccable skin!' I, unconsciously, take a deep breath. 'Her blood odor… it's delicious' I hurriedly snapped out of it. 'What the hell am I thinking?
For me to get interested in a normal human girl?!'. Trying hard not to suck her blood, I distance my face from her neck.
Just as I was about to see her face, my attention was drawn to a man I saw coming in their direction. 'Why the hell he is here? Finally found him but in such an awkward situation… Dammit, I should leave!'
Hurriedly spinning the girl in his general direction, I take a step back and run as fast as I could in the opposite direction.
Covering a distance of about 3 km in 2 minutes, I stopped. "Why in the hell he was doing here?! And what's with that girl? Is she with him?"
'For me to almost lost myself to urges? It's been quite a long time since I felt like this from someone. When was is it again? 50 something years ago? The first time it was because of that fuckin' bit*h Katherine! And now for that girl!
I should have asked her name' I looked down at my phone, 'At least I took her picture in last moments'
Sighing I started to walk towards my home. 'What a messy day~'
Reaching home, I called Adrian aka my best friend. We have known each other for about 50 years now and pretty much are brothers to each other. He was the one to support me when I was at the lowest in my life. To which, I am still indebted.
I looked outside the window, towards the sky, where the moon was blazing in its glory for all to see. 'Such a beautiful sight'. Gazing at the sky reminded me of my past.
It was night, just like this one. With nothing special to it, except the fact that I broke with Katherine which left me inconsolable. I wanted some time alone to get my feelings together. So, I left the pack.
At that time, I hadn't known that our enemies were eyeing us. Since I was alpha or leader in our case, caused problems with my leave.
Enemies or hunters taking advantage of this attacked us. When I got the information about it, I was petrified. Thinking nothing, I ran towards my pack but by the time I reached there, it was already too late.
All I could do was stand there, silently, looking at the decaying bodies of those who once I called me comrades… my family.
Walking on that ground, towards the bodies that were way too evident to me. As the pungent smell of blood assaulting my senses.
The smell that I was way too familiar with… I cried… I cried! … was it my fault? If I had not left them because of my foolishness? "Say, is it my fault, Father!!?" I shouted, hoarsely towards the body that was planted on the ground with a sword implanted in its chest, piercing the heart. 'Dammit…'
