"Hem ... sorry in advance, I'll just make sure. I teach from morning to one in the afternoon. I can work from two o'clock, and on Saturdays, I can only work full time from the morning. How about Mr. Bagas?" asked Nikita explaining and asked Bagas about her work schedule.
Nikita's heart was pounding, waiting for Bagas's answer to agree or disagree with her work schedule.
"There is no problem with your schedule at work." said Bagas, opening his hands wide.
"Starting tomorrow you can go straight to the office starting at two o'clock." replied Bagas seriously.
Nikita's heart was relieved to hear Bagas' answer. After the work agreement had been discussed, Nikita asked permission to go home.
Bagas offers Genta to take her home, but Nikita refuses gently, she wants to go home quickly and give the news to Hana, her family, especially Raka.
***
It's been a week running, two jobs on Nikita's run well. And apparently, that didn't make Nikita too tired to be Bagas's second secretary.
Just like what Bagas told her, if she is the second secretary and Genta is still the first secretary.
Even though the work was not draining, it really drained Nikita's heart. How not to drain your heart, Bagas' attitude and behavior are completely strange and beyond common sense that Nikita cannot accept.
There were things Bagas ordered to her, from preparing drinks, lunch, dinner, even to preparing clothes when Bagas had work out of town.
And there are many other things that Nikita can't just call her work. As if Nikita is not just a secretary, but like a wife to her husband.
And it was even more annoying when Bagas told her with a cold tone, and a face that had no smile.
This made Nikita even more annoyed while doing her job. It is only because of the large salary that Nikita can survive, because her salary calculation is still considered full even though she works part time.
It's really frustrating to work with a Bagas, Nikita complained several times to herself.
Like this afternoon, Nikita arrived a little late because of a sudden meeting at school. And that made Bagas scold her.
Nikita said nothing without answering or denying Bagas' words. Nikita tried to focus on her job to clean up the copy documents that Bagas wanted.
"Nikita ... don't you hear what I say?" said Bagas irritably, still sitting in his wheelchair beside Nikita with his hands crossed over his chest.
Nikita looked up at Bagas nervously, trying to stay relaxed while answering Bagas's question.
"I'm sorry Gas, I was too focused on this document. What were you talking about earlier?" said Nikita with an annoyed smile.
Bagas took a deep breath to refrain from getting emotional.
"If you come late you can call me, so I'm not waiting for you like this." said Bagas still annoyed.
"Earlier my cellphone turned off Gas, last night I didn't have time to charge the battery. And earlier at school I forgot. Please forgive me?" said Nikita making an excuse that made Bagas even more stressed.
"You!" Bagas pointed his finger at Nikita and sighed loudly for her excuse made no sense.
"The reason you're so annoying Nikita! Enough I don't want to know..this is a warning for you. Next time you are late you will have to tell me somehow." said Bagas angrily, then turned his wheelchair hard and ran it toward his desk.
Because it is too hard to press the road button when you want to turn, the wheelchair hit the edge of the table hard and it almost made Bagas fall if his hand didn't hold the wheelchair until his hand was caught.
Seeing this spontaneously, Nikita stood half running towards Bagas. Nikita quickly adjusted the position of Bagas' wheelchair and faced her.
Anxiously, Nikita held Bagas's hands while tracing Bagas's wrists that were caught in a wheelchair.
"Does your wrist hurt? Gas?" asked Nikita still holding Bagas's hand.
"DEG"
Bagas felt something in his chest, as if his heart was beating irregularly when Nikita's hand rubbed his wrist which had hit the edge of the table.
Bagas was silent and did not answer Nikita's question. His mind was still thinking about his indistinct heartbeat.
"Bagas ... is there anything sick?" Nikita asked again, worriedly seeing Bagas' face, which was a little pale.
"Hem ... it's okay Nik." said Bagas shaking his head quickly looking at Nikita and turned to see Nikita's hand still holding his wrist.
Seeing Bagas' strange gaze, Nikita realized that she then took off her hand, her face flushed with embarrassment.
Nikita cleared her throat softly.
"Sorry I didn't mean to, you just surprised me." said Nikita and then stood up and looked at Bagas with anxious feeling.
"Right, you don't feel pain in your wrist? Your hands look blue. Gas." Nikita said, pointing to Bagas' wrist which looked bruised.
Bagas was silent with Nikita's anxious reaction.
"Wait a minute, I took the rubbing oil in my bag." Nikita said without waiting for Bagas' reply or approval, Nikita took a small rubbing oil in her briefcase that she always carried with her.
"Here! Give me your hand. Gas." said Nikita, crouching back facing Bagas.
For some reason Bagas could not resist Nikita's words, even Bagas stretched out his bruised wrist.
Nikita held it lightly and rubbed some rubbing oil on the skin of Bagas' wrist.
Nikita gently and occasionally blows on the oil.
Bagas's heart was beating violently again, and it made him unable to breathe normally.
Bagas could only stare at Nikita's hand which was rubbing his skin softly. When finished, Nikita returned Bagas 'hand to one of Bagas' thighs.
With a slight smile, Nikita stood satisfied.
"It's finished Mr Boss, hopefully it won't swell later." Nikita said as she pushed Bagas 'wheelchair towards Bagas' desk.
Seeing Bagas silent, Nikita returned to her desk. But before walking away, Bagas called out to her.
"Nikita, thank you ... you are a good secretary!" said Bagas with a smile that is rarely shown.
"You're welcome, boss" Nikita replied with a smile.
