As we kiss, I close my mind to the beat of her heart, the scent of flowers coming off her, her soft luscious lips, it was calling to me 'just bite down a bit, have a little taste, you can stop when you want to', at that moment she bites down on my bottom lip, making me lose my composure.
I let out a grunt and push her away from me gently, she looks up at me shocked and visibly hurt, then she turns around and begins to walk away.
"Bella" I call out to her, she doesn't reply, then she stops and turns back to face me
"I understand if you can't tell me what's going on with you, but what about us, what's going on with us Mike? "
I could see she was fighting back her tears, I didn't like to see her cry, no. I take a deep breath and walk towards her, it was already getting late, I take both her hands in mine, and squeeze gently.
"Do you remember what you said, that you didn't care what I was? "
" Yes"
" Do you still not care? "
She takes in a deep breath, then looks me in the eyes.
" Even if you are the devil himself, you will still be my angel, I love you, Micheal"
I stare at her for a few minutes, she had no idea what she means to me, she is my whole world, I can't lose her.
I love her too much and maybe that's why I have to do this, I bring her hands to my lips and kiss them, then I move back three feet from her, she makes to follow me but I gesture for her to stay where she is.
"I don't care about anything that's going on Micheal, I love you, and I want to be with you, that's all that matters to me" her voice is firm and pleading if only she knew, well here goes nothing.
"I want you to repeat that after you hear me out" I take in a deep breath.
" That day, I was with Annie, when the house was hit, I had gone to end things with her because I wanted to give you the life you deserve, your own home" I pause and study her for a second, what I didn't add was that I was going to propose to her that evening, the evening I died.
Mr. Wilson had gotten himself involved in some shady deals and had annoyed the wrong people in the process.
"I was killed that evening, my heart stopped, but uncle Phil saved me, you remember uncle Phil? "
She stands staring at me, I could hear her heartbeat increasing, her eye wide in disbelief.
"do you?" I push
She nods her head.

I stop and move back a bit, watching her, she shivers like she was dumped into a bucket of ice.
I wish I could go to her and hold her, tell her everything will be fine, but I have to do this, I continue to watch her not saying anything else.
After some time, she folds her hand into a fist and bites down on her lower lip, then she takes a step towards me .

I let out a silent sigh in relief, I was scared she'll pass out.
"Can I show you?" I ask her
She nods in reply, I close my eyes and take deep breaths, what I'm about to do is a risk, but it had to be done.
I know Jason is around even if he tried to mask his presence, I can still feel him, I know he won't let me do anything I'll regret.
I close my eyes and change into the monster I am, I don't open my eyes after the change, I don't want to see her walk away, it would hurt too much.
I keep my eyes closed and wait, I wait for a long time, listening to the soft rise and fall of her breaths, then I hear her footsteps coming closer to me, it was too good to be true, she wasn't running.
I open my eyes and she is standing right in front of me, the smell of flowers assault me, it's true, she was right here, even with my fangs out and my eyes flashing bright blue.
She lifts her hand towards my face but stops in mid-air trying to decide, I tilt my head towards her giving her the go-ahead, her warmth calling out to me
"Micheal, stop" I hear Jason in my head
Bella touches my face with her fingers, her touch gentle, her fingers shivering lightly, I lean into her touch and inhale, allowing her scent to fill me.
"Hey love birds, except you guys plan on sleeping here, we better get going"
" Stop now," Jason says under his breath.
I pull back from Bella and step back, retracting my fangs.
"Here you go, you're freezing lady"
Jason says placing a jacket around Bella.
I look at him saying thank you with my eyes, 'Oh Lord, what was I about to do?"
