Chapter 2 - Meeting with the dead

I feel a cold, freezing cold, I begin to shake, as I use my hands to search around me with my eyes closed, but instead of touching the covers, I touch an ice block(yes, an ice block).

I quickly withdraw my hands and shiver, I open my eyes slowly, looking in the direction of the iced object. It has hands, beautiful, long and slender fingers, and it wore a black jacket.

I move my eyes up to the face and freeze as I see the pair of eyes that are watching me back.

"ahhhhhhhhhhhh" I scream,

the man in front of me squeezes his face as if he had just tasted something bitter,

"ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

I continue to scream, afraid to even break eye contact.

" You're giving me a headache," he says feeling displeased,

I immediately shut up. My brain is spinning, I try to think but fail, my sight becomes blurry, I can hear my heart beating in my ears.

"Are you about to pass out again," he asks mockingly,

"I  thought you will be happy to see me."

'you are dead' i scream in my mind 'you are fucking dead, how are you here or am I dead?'

I look around me subconsciously as I think this. I think he must have sensed my thoughts because he laughed at me loudly. The sudden noise startles me, and I move back on instinct and fall off the bed. Because I fell backward, I am supposed to hit my head but I support myself with my hands, my wrist twist, and I let out a shrill cry.

MICHEAL

I am starting to get impatient with her, I agree I didn't exactly think this through, but it is no excuse for her to act this way.

I can see the fear in her eyes, she is trying hard to stop her self from crying out, she is evidently in severe pain, I reach out and try to carry her up, but she pushes backward on her butt, never once breaking eye contact with me.

I frown and carry her forcefully, I lay her on the bed and inspect her wrist, it is swollen, I sigh and carry her out of the room. She doesn't struggle, she just stays stiffly in my arms looking paler every moment, and I thought I was supposed to be the dead guy here, I sigh again. This is going to be hard.

I take her down the hall, into the kitchen, and set her down on a stool. I open the fridge in search of an ice pack but found none, I find a stale fish though, and I smile to myself. I turn and keep the fish on her wrist, she jerks up as if just waking up from a deep slumber and scrunches her nose,

"Ewww, Micheal that's gross" she tries to shake her hands free but I hold her in place,

"Christ, woman, hold still".

I know I had a frown on my face, but deep down my heart was doing flips, the sound of her voice saying my name always did that to me, I try had to hold back a smile, as I inspect her wrist again.
