Chapter 2 - A Peek At Her Life

Walking through the hallway filled with the bustling noise from the students, Allia gripped the two books in her arms tightly.

Annoyed greatly at the whole fiasco with her professor gave her stomach the feeling of being a rider in a newly trained dragon. 'Damn professor, he gave me quite the fright.'

Looking around the hallway, she smirked at how the students still didn't rush to their specific classes even though she heard the bell ring when she was in a room with Clay.

She smirked. "Just as planned."

"Yeah, and you better give me credit for it." Someone's face popped up in front of her and she immediately stopped. Staring blankly at the person, she shoved the two books in his face.

"Ouch! What the hell was that for?!" He rubbed his forehead while Allia just sighed and continued her walk. "Hey! Will you wait for a second!?"

"I can't. The bell already rang." She turned to him briefly and gave him a smirk. He let out a breath before matching her stride and walking side by side with her.

"It did ring, did it?" Turning cocky, he tilted his head and looked at her indifferent expression. He pouted slightly and gave up on getting an expression out of her.

Shoving his hands inside his track pants pocket, he whistled loudly.

The woman by her side irked a bit. A few more meters of walking and Allia gave up. "Will you shut it already!?"

He burst out laughing as she tried to land a hit on his face with the book one more time. "Are you kidding me!? You've got to be faster than that!" What he didn't expect though, was what she did next.

She threw the book at him, straight in the nut. He shivered in pain and it made him crouch down, clutching the cloth covering his sensitive part.

"Allia...Why the hell…" She scoffed at him. "I'm thankful for your help Fred. But you better not push your luck." He shivered beneath her dark stare. "Y-Yes...ma'am…"

Picking up the thrown book, she walked towards him and offered him a hand. "Get up. I'm going to treat you to some food." It was as if the pain in his lower part vanished as he stood up quicker than lightning.

"Well let's go!"

She rolled her eyes at the man who was in front of her. 'It seems like my jewels would be wasted in such a fool.'

She walked quietly and did not mind the stares that the other students were giving to the two of them. A crazy loud man is surely to gather some attention.

"You should've seen me out there! I'm fifty meters away from the room and I still heard it! Can you believe it!? Plus, plus that fake sound of the bell? All me! You know, you know!?" He was trying to get her attention again and just like earlier, she was close to bursting.

"You want me to destroy one of your balls again? You really want to prevent yourself from having descendants?" His words stopped flowing out of his mouth.

Looking down at his part and back at Allia before turning away from her and nodding.

Fred Klaus : 3rd Year at Youth Magic Foundation, Chemistry Department

: User of Sound Magic, a branch of Wind Magic

: "Never once have I been afraid of Allia."

Opening the doors to the school cafeteria, she gestured for Fred to go to the counter. Fred knew what to do and just left Allia to look for an empty table.

She found a table near the center of the cafeteria. She laid down her books on the table first, before plugging in her earpiece.

It was not a regular earpiece. Tapping it once, it flashed a screen in front of her.

HoloPiece : An earpiece that equals a phone in modern civilization. It is connected to the user's magical input for easy use. A person other than the user cannot see what is happening in their HoloPiece.

She looked and searched for nothing in particular while waiting for Fred to arrive at their table. After mindlessly scanning, her eyes widened at an article.

She read the headline with scrunched up brows. "This is…"

"Well, isn't it Ms. Frone. The one who escaped from the Bio Department and ran to flirt with Professor Clay." She knew that voice, but she'd rather not give it any attention.

When the owner of the voice noticed that she made no move to look at her, she took it into her hands. She grabbed Allia's hair to get her to look at her.

Due to the sudden force, Allia had to grab on to the hand that was pulling her hair. She came eye to eye with her, Freya Stone.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you, dirt."

"Hi...Ms. Stone…" Freya smirked at Allia. She hit her cheek lightly for a few times before gripping her chin forcefully. "I shouldn't be too close to Professor Hafford if I were you."

"Yeah, why'd he want to look at you."

"You're disgusting dirt!"

"Enough, girls." She shoved her face back before pulling away from her. "We don't want to get infected by her magicless germs." Allia irked at what she said.

Clenching her fist as she saw the three of them leave, she thought about how defenseless she was at that time. If she were to do something, she could effortlessly--

"Allia! Are you okay!?" She looked at Fred who was carrying a tray full of food. He swiftly put down on the table and immediately checked up on Allia.

"Are you okay!? Dang...It's Freya again, huh?" She just dismissed his prodding hands and removed her HoloPiece. "I'm fine...So what did you get me?"

Slightly taken aback by how she dismissed the matter, Fred just let it be. "Oh...Uhm...Got you pasta?"

She smiled at him weakly. "Thank you."

They ate quietly after that. Fred was occasionally looking at Allia who was focused on eating her food. He saw her sigh and put her fork down. "What do you have in mind?" She looked at him with lazy eyes.

He gulped and thought of words to put together and while doing it, he was looking at anything other than her. "I-I was just thinking of how hard it must be...To be non-magical…"

"Fred, I already told you. I'm not a non-magical." She rolled her eyes at him before continuing to twirl pasta on her fork. "It's just that my magic is not as showy as others."

"I know that but--"

"I don't have proof to back that up. Are you doubting me, Fred?" She glared at him. He dropped his fork because of fear for her life. "N-No!"

"That's what I thought. Now finish up, I wanna get out of here."

She stood up carrying her books and went straight for the counter, not waiting for Fred. He started scarfing his food down faster to follow her.

"Allia! Where are you going!?" She lazily turned back at him and pointed at the cafeteria door. Coincidentally the bell rang which made Fred come to a realization.

"What do you mean? I'm going to my class." She shrugged and continued to exit the cafeteria.

Fred sweat dropped. 'It thought you were angry at me woman!'
