I played with my fingers as I think about the girl on the elevator. She's a true goddess. The features of her face is so impossible to imagine.
Paano pa kaya kapag lumabas siya? Paniguradong pati babae mahuhulog sa kanya. I can't say na mahuhulog ako dun, I'm straight. Mukha lang yun, malay mo di pala mabait yun.
"Red? Are you listening?" I snapped out of my thoughts and blinked. I looked at them looking at me as I gulped nervously.
"S-Syngnómi. Synéchise to." I'm sorry. Keep it going. I heard Storm sighed as the girls gave me a worried look.
"What is our golden law, Ms. Irinaiah Izzenovitch?" Storm stared at me with his grayish-silver eyes as my eyes twitched and I clenched my jaw when he spoke my name.
"No falling in love until the age of 30." I sighed and placed my hands into my hoodie pockets.
"Do you apply it to yourself?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah."
"Good because it looks like you're in love. You're acting strange." I frowned immediately.
"What makes you say that?"
"I have known all of you since we were 15 so obviously, kabisado ko na kayo." I tried not to laugh with his accent when speaking Filipino language.
Napaigtad ako nang may kumurot sa tagilkran ko. Sinamaan ko ng tingin si Sin.
"Don't you dare laugh kundi itatapon kita mamaya." Bulong niya na natatawa din. I loudly breathed inhale and exhale a few times but in my last exhale, the room was filled with laughter.
"T-takte!" Tawa ni Cia nang malakas na sinunod naman ni Nica.
"Hey, that's enough. Si Storm oh. May ugat na sa noo. Pft." Sabi ni Z na mas ikinatawa naming lahat. Nang tumagal, ako na ang unang tumigil kakatawa.
"Enough na, girls. I wanna hear the meeting." I gulped my laughter and as we go silent, Storm continued the meeting.
"Vlakás. Red, you have been assigned somewhere in Europe. A businessman, Mr. Dashuvell wants you to be his daughter's personal bodyguard for 1 year."
"He's currently traveling around the world on the name of business and her daughter is alone and he'll die worrying that's why he wants one of us. Then I recommended you to him, Red. You're the best agent for his daughter. You'll be leaving after 1 week. Cia and Shia. You're on next week. That is all. Meeting adjourned."
I quickly stood up and pushed the chair back into the table when everybody looks at me. I sat back and blinked.
"What?"
"What is wrong, Rina?" I looked at Storm who is fixing his watch as he look at me with worried eyes.
"Nothing. I'm fine." I frowned.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. So sure." I leaned back on my chair.
"We're your family, Rina. We've been together for 10 years. We grew up together since we were 15. It's fine to trust us." Lili spoke. I blinked a few times, speechless.
"I know that what is that I don't know is if I'm fine or not. Alright? I also feel like something's changing in me." I said. Sin held my hand and gave me a smile.
"You'll be fine, Rina." I gave a quick smile at them and I stood up.
"I'll be in my room." I walked out of the room and as I walk through the hall way, I saw the girl and her secretary waiting at the front of Storm's office.
"Hey. Can you speak English?" I asked the secretary and not making any eye contact to the girl.
"Yes, we can." I smiled and pointed at the meeting room's door.
"Storm's coming out any minute. You should sit and wait inside." I pulled the keys out of my pocket and opened the door. I gestured on them to come in and they thanked me, afterwards.
"No problem. Be comfortable." I smiled and glanced at the girl before closing the door. I sighed and was about to turn when I yelped in surprise by Storm standing behind me.
"Ay, tarantado ka- Storm naman eh." Napahawak ako sa dibdib ko sa gulat. He placed his arms around me as we walk to my room nang tahimik. Nang nasa tapat na kami ng kwarto ko bigla niya ang binatukan.
"Aray! Ano ba! Sumusobra na kayo kakasakit sakin ah." I frowned at him.
"Are you sure you're not in love?" I frowned more.
"Yes. Kakasabi ko lang kanina. I'm fine and I don't like or love anyone. I'm sure of that." I crossed my arms and leaned on my door.
"Sure?" He raised an eyebrow and I scoffed.
"Are you Eros right now? 'Coz you look like a child of Athena wannabe. What do you know about love? The last thing I know is you didn't fell in love yet ever since you were born." I stared at him deadpan. He just rolled his eyes and walked away.
"That's right. Walk away, Storm. I'm about to sleep now and please.. DO NOT BOTHER ME!" I shouted louder than this morning. The moment I closed the door, I remembered that I ate nothing.
"Argh." I pulled my cellphone on my pocket and called for the Dellovien twins, Storm's cousins. The phone rang once and they answered immediately.
"Hello there, Red. What do you need?" Gunner's voice greeted me.
"Hey, can you guys bring any food on my room? I forgot to eat this morning. And tell my sisters to go to my room."
"Sure. Which food?"
"Any food, Gunner." I sat on the bed, cleaning my nails.
"Alright. Hey, Bullet! Let's go and order food. There's a party over Red's room! Sorry, Red he was taking care of our fighter agents. Tsk, tsk. Fall's Agency attacked us again." I rolled my eyes by hearing Fall's name.
"I don't care about Fall, Gunner. Just bring me my food."
"Oh, right. We'll be the- HEY, RED! I was just finished aiding our agents." Bullet's joyful voice interrupted Gunner's.
"Yeah, I know. Just bring me my food and I expect y'all in my room, okay?" I ended the call and waited.
