I headed down the hallway away from Chancellor Billing's office. I was looking down at my phone, when I nearly ran into someone. I looked up and it was Renn.
"Renn! What are you doing here?" I asked, surprised to see him.
He shrugged. "I thought you may need someone to walk you out to your car."
I nodded, tilting my head to the side. "I appreciate that, but don't you have class now?"
He shook his head. "My next class isn't until this afternoon."
"Okay," I said, a smile lighting my lips, knowing it would give us a moment to talk. Also, I was genuinely happy to see him. I had always wanted a big brother, and now I had Renn. Although he had no idea who I really was, I knew.
"How have you been feeling lately?" I asked, gently broaching the subject, not sure how much he knew.
"He knows he has cancer," Stellan said, suddenly appearing, walking beside me.
