When we got to the house, the police were inside, busy disassembling the Meth lab. Come to find out, Liv's mother had a hydroponic garden growing in the spare room, too!
But deep down, I wondered how much of it had been Liv's mother's idea and how much of it had been Alonso's idea. After all, it was the perfect setup. He could say he knew nothing about it, but reap the benefits of the money, too. And hard telling how many people's drug habit had been fueled because of it.
"Hold it right there," a policeman said, holding up his hand. Evidently, he was a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Agent.
Evelyn flashed her badge. "I'm Officer Winters. I'm here with the woman's daughter to pick up her things."
He nodded. "Go right ahead." Then he stepped aside to let us pass.
Down the hallway, police were crawling all over Liv's mother's bedroom, too. In Liv's room, officers were combing through her things. But luckily, nothing had been completely destroyed.
