The room fell silent.
"Your Majesty…"
They all heard Theodore say for the first time in a long while, his voice heavy with pain. Though there was a sense of sarcasm, the reality of the emotion; betrayal, filled it.
The king beheld his son, but he couldn't bring himself to explain the reason why he couldn't inform his first son about the death of his own mother. In hidden regret, he turned his gaze away from him, but Theodore's unconsciously sunk heart never ended the stared he had on his father.
For some reason, a part in his heart seemed to hope that his father would steal this opportunity and redeem himself of his past offense, but painfully, as expected, he said nothing. The hope vanished as soon as it came alive, and his gaze departed from his father and travelled to his brothers, who looked heartbroken and lost of words.
"Brothers?" he called, his eyes reflecting hopelessness.
