I kept a look out for that person the whole funeral. Soon, the coffin was buried and everyone was going back. I stepped down, going after that person. He made his way outside and I followed him. When I reached outside, no one was there. I looked around, defeatedly, in order to catch something but was interrupted by Jeremy.
"Clare, is everything okay?" He asked me.
"Yeah, I just saw someone I wanted to meet but.., lets just go inside" I decided not to tell him and made my way back inside the house, towards my chamber. I sat down on the bed, thinking about that person. He sat like Hayden and walked like him and even their eye color was the same. But, Hayden was dead. I saw his death body by my eyes. I shook my head, pushing my thoughts back as I laid down on the bed.

"She went after him" Jeremy told Dad.
"Did she find out?" He asked.
"They are both similar, I think she thought that he was alive" Jeremy replied.
"If she would've known, then she would've gone after him. We are safe for now" He said, relived and Jeremy merely nodded.

I sat up in bed, when I felt someone staring at me. I looked around to see that no one was present inside the chamber. I felt weird as I shook my head, getting up from the bed, I changed my clothes. Once again, I looked around the chamber but I could find no one. Regarding my feeling as just a mere one, I left the chamber to get some fresh air. I stood on the roof of the house, inhaling fresh air, when I heard a small thud. I turned around in panic, but no one was there. Shaking my head, I went downstairs in my Dad's study, to find him sitting on his chair.
"Is there something wrong?" He asked me, judging by the expression on my face, that something was wrong.
"I don't know. I just feel like someone is watching me" I shrugged, confusion written on my face.
"Maybe, it is just a feeling?" He asked me.
"Yeah, I think so." I shrugged my shoulders, getting up from my chair. I bid goodbye to Dad, as I made my way towards my chamber. I sat down on the bed, looking at Hayden's side. Tears welled up in my eyes and I started sobbing hysterically. I cried until I fell asleep. I woke up, when I felt the bed dip. I looked around to see there was no one, but the sheets were messed up. I sat up on the bed, inhaling my surroundings. I smelled Hayden's cologne. I got up from the bed, looking here and there. I saw that the balcony door was ajar. I walked towards it cautiously, to see Pom's sitting, washing herself. I picked her up and closed the door. I came back on the bed and sat d own. The pillows on Hayden's side were not in the place I had left them. I sighed knowing that I could probably have moved them in my sleep. I sat in the bed and covered my self with comforter, scratching Pom's ear. She purred, getting off me and laid on Hayden's side of the bed. I smiled, picking up a pillow and inhaled the smell of his cologne, coming from it. Soon, sleep enveloped me.
I woke up at the sound of bird's chirping and Pom's scratching the door. I got up and opened the door and she slid out, purring. I looked at the clock which showed eight in the morning. I changed my clothes and sat on the bed, reminiscing the time he proposed me.
*FLASHBACK*
White lilies covered the whole patio. I twirled around, turning my head towards Hayden who was bent on one knee, holding a blue velvet box in which an elegant emerald cut diamond ring was placed. It was a truly enchanting moment.
"I am not much of a speech person but I sure do know is that when I met you, I was interested in you from the moment on and you gave me a lot of my firsts. I promise you that I will always be by your side, any cost. We will overcome our hurdles together and end it together. So, Miss James will you make me the happiest man alive, by saying yes?" He was speaking quite solemnly and his words truly touched my heart.
"Of course Mr. Daunter, I will. Now will you do the deed and make us the happiest couple alive on earth. I will surely make you the happiest man alive, for I know I am the best" I replied reaching my hand out, which he clasped and slided the ring on. I giggled and hugged him. We broke our hug, staring deeply in each others eyes. He leaned forward unintentionally and I covered the distance, our lips smashing. But just as we reached the climax, a loud thud was heard. We turned around to find a cat staring at us. Hayden chuckled and looked at me and I turned crimson red. I hid my face in his chest and his full of life laughter filled the patio. He grabbed the polaroid camera from the table and captured the moment in the camera.
*FLASHBACK END*
I took a deep breath as tears once again pooled in my eyes.
"Why did you leave, Hayden?" I whispered out loud. I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in" I said loudly. I looked up to see Katie. She looked at me, before running to me and hugging me. I cried in her arms, her shirt turning wet and she tried to console me.
"Everyone has to go, Clare. Everyone. Now, we have to fond the people who did this to him in order to get his revenge." She cupped my face, looking in my eyes as I sobbed helplessly.
"I know what I have to do it's just.... I can't" I sat back on the bed, turning on some music as tears seeped through my eyes. See you agin filled the silence of my room along with my sobs that I tried to quieten down.
It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
We've come a long way from where we began
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again
So let the light guide your way, yeah
Hold every memory as you go
And every road you take
Will always lead you home, home
When I see you again
