[Wor.. R...for... System reinitializing. User confirmed Rick Kanun.]
A boy about 16 years old was lying motionless in the middle of the street. Blood oozing from his head.
"Oh my God! Is he still alive?"
"I saw that car hit him while he was crossing the street."
"Someone help him!"
People were screaming, as they witnessed the accident. The boy was crossing the road, when a car turned the corner on two wheels. The car never slowed down and mowed the boy over and continued driving, he went flying and didn't come to a stop until about 100 feet from where he was originally standing.
Everyone was sure he died, the paramedics were incoming, as you heard a siren in the distance.
Rick was starting to come to as his eyes fluttered. He was beginning to grow accustomed to his head hurting and spinning. He wanted to open his eyes and move his body, but realized he couldn't.
Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain all over, but no words or yelps of pain could escape his throat.
He figured, he must not have died from the fall. 'What shitty luck I have. I tried to save the world from myself and failed to do it. I guess I'll have to try again.' Or, so he thought.
A new wave of pain washed over him, as memories started to fill his mind.
'What the hell?! I'm not in my body, but a kid's?! Great, what's next? A new world. Wait... this is a new world! Ahh, dammit! Where's the shitty voice at?! This is all your fault!' Rick ranted and cursed the system, rightfully so. He soon forgot about the pain his new body was experiencing.
[User has awakened in a new world ripe for reformation. Once acclimated, conquer this world and earn wishes.]
[Beginning package available, once User is healed.]
Rick calmed down as he read the notifications in his mind.
'I don't know about all of this conquering and reformation nonsense, but at least it looks like I have some benefits.' He thought.
The sirens grew closer and closer, until finally what looked like an ambulance pulled up. The paramedics immediately hopped out of the vehicle and raced toward the boy.
They began to check him for some vitals and quickly moved him on a stretcher and loaded him into the ambulance. The siren starts blaring once again and they departed toward the nearest hospital.
One of the paramedics was checking the boy for any identification and noticed he had a brand in the shape of a 'N' on his neck.
"Ugh! Our luck is bad today. We picked up a trash, Novalite, Bryan." He said with clear disdain in his voice.
'Your luck can't be worse than mine. Wait, who are you calling trash?!' Exclaimed Rick in his mind.
"Aw, don't say that, Jack. The Novalite have a bad rep due to their circumstances, but it's out job to serve people of all walks of life. Besides, his luck was bad today to get into a hit-and-run today." Bryan said with clear positivity.
"I hate that upbeat personality of yours, sometimes, you can even make trash appear as gold." Jack said dejectedly, he could never win against this overwhelmingly positive guy.
'Trash again?! At least the other guy has some manners and morals. This guy would have left me to die!' Rick was ready to throw down on this Jack guy, but still couldn't move his body.
They arrived at Grand Diore Hospital. Bryan and Jack hopped out of the ambulance and rushed the boy into the emergency room.
A nurse rushed up to them and asked what happened. Bryan explained the situation as best you could and the boy was whisked away to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The nurses and doctor began to check his injuries and also noticed the 'N' like brand on his neck. Looks of disgust flashed across the faces of most of the personnel present. Of course, no one voiced their disdain, as it was against their oath to 'do no harm'.
Rick was taken to surgery, where they operated on his internal injuries.
'Hey, Little Voice, they should have knocked me out with anesthesia. What gives?' Rick thought he should have been unconscious at this point.
[Answering User: The level is anesthesia is minute, so the system has blocked the User's consciousness from being affected. Please note that this only applies in areas for ordinary people.]
'I see, you do have some uses outside of causing trouble. What do you mean by 'ordinary people' isn't that what we all are?'
[There are ordinary and extraordinary people in the Universe. You happen to belong to the latter, User.]
'Well, I did always think I had a greater purpose, haha. I'm glad the Little Voice agrees. By the way, since we have time to chat, how did you end up in my head back on Earth and in this new place?'
Rick had been curiously about this the entire time, but circumstances did not allow him to indulge his curiosities.

'Can't answer, huh? I figured it would be something confidential. Let me ask you another question, are you a danger to me?'
[No. The system exists to help the User reform worlds and reach the status of 'Galaxy Devourer'.]
'Galaxy Devourer, what's that?' Rick was puzzled by the new term.
[User will find out in due time.]
'Ahh, well. I guess, we'll figure this stuff out soon enough.' Rick decided to relax his mind, while the doctor finished the surgery. He didn't know why, but he felt he wasn't in any real danger from dying since he woke up in this new world.
________
Far, far away...
"Do you think it was wise to tell him his former title, Menaska? What if it triggered a past memory?" Asked the little robot, its sear marks from earlier were starting to repair themselves.
Menaska glared at the little robot, as she hadn't forgiven it for causing the current predicament. "Nothing to worry about. His majesty's past memories aren't so easy to trigger."
"As long as the device follows are commands, we'll be able to slowly help him regain his power and his memories, right?"
[...]
[Yes.]
________
2 Days later...
Rick 'woke up' and found himself in a hospital room, similar to the ones on Earth. He looked at his injuries and saw most had healed fairly quickly. The medicine of this world was leagues ahead of Earth's. He would have had to been in bed for weeks to recover those injuries.
Since, he was in this room alone. He decided to start through the boy's memories, so he can better acclimate himself to this world and this body.
It seems this world is called Parathia, it's similar to Earth, but about twice the size. It has a bit more land, than Earth, but it's oceans are twice as deep. There are only three continents with each about the size of Africa, Asia, and the Americas combined.
Rick was impressed with the boy's knowledge. The boy happened to have the same name as him, which he found hard to believe was a coincidence. He was what is known as a Novalite, which is a believer in the supernatural, a kind of cult. They brand their members with this 'N-shape' and that's how they identify one another.
That was all Rick gathered for now. He was about to get up and stretch when the door opened. It was the doctor that performed the surgery.
"Mr. Rick Kanun, I'm going to check your injuries. Once I determine you are well enough to leave, it's best you do so immediately. There are some who don't take too kindly to your type around here."
