Everett Ailan's/Malefici's P.O.V
Demonaris checked Life and Death. "They're both out cold."
"It had something to do with that incantation she said, is this part of it?"
He softly shook his head. "That can't be right, or else Death wouldn't be knocked out."
Just then, my brother shot straight up like a monster in one of those cheesy horror movies.
"Everest?"
He transformed back into the vampire, but his colors quickly became reversed. He was able to summon his cane again, this one seeming to have a knife-like tip to it.
Galifici seemed stronger than he was when he first attacked us. I was about to summon my scythe, but some otherworldly force prevented me from doing so.
Just as I was going to attack with my fists, my costume disappeared.
"What?!"
I stood back and looked over at Demonaris, who also involuntarily changed back.
"What's going on Malefici? I didn't do this!"
Galifici grinned and put his right hand in front of him. Flames were released onto us, and I was pretty sure I had at least a dozen second degree burns.
He just laughed as his cane changed forms into something much larger. Now it had more arms, which also came with more knives.
I put my arms out in front of me as a last resort, but nothing came. After cracking one of my eyes open, I saw another figure with their back to me.
"Justine!"
Her clothes were also reversed, but she was fighting against Galifici. I couldn't see her staff, so I automatically assumed the worst.
Galifici was surrounded with some kind of red light, and he fell over and collapsed a second later.
I could barely move myself, since it was too painful with the burns inflicted on me a minute ago, but I still managed to catch Lucy before she hit the ground.
Justine used herself as a shield, even while being controlled by those monsters. Blood seeped through her now dark costume, and she was out just like my brother.
I wanted to close my eyes and wake up in my bed. This was only another nightmare, that is all it was.
By the time I closed my eyes, I felt myself hit the wet grass.

Lucy Rudolf's/Justine's P.O.V
I awoke to another light shining above me. The last thing I could remember was jumping off that cliff and the monster attacking me, everything else was a blur.
I turned my head to find another figure on the bed across from mine, but this one was on his stomach. White bandages covered his eyes and almost every inch of his body. All I could see besides tanned skin was his choppy crimson red hair.
One of the only uncovered spots on his arm had a small blue tattoo.
A figure walked into the room, it's identity kept with a white face mask and cloak. They turned on a switch near the man's bed, and he transformed. The figure turned and left without a word.
Blue stripes appeared on his face, and his hair grew a little longer and white.
"Malefici?" I ripped the cords away, also happening to notice how many bandages I had around my torso and arms. Something terrible happened, I just didn't know what.
Once I stood up, my legs felt like they were ready to cave, but I kept going. Once I managed to get to Malefici's side, I knelt.
"I'm so sorry, Malefici." I could feel myself start to tear up, and I made no effort in holding it in. It was my fault I got him and who knows who else injured.
I took his hand and squeezed it gently before nearly jumping out of my skin.
"What are you apologizing for?"
"Malefici? Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, just some minor burns. Nothing to cry over, stupid."
"How did you-"
"I'm a demon, I don't really need eyes to see."
I shrieked and hid myself on the other side of the bed.
"What are you doing?"
"You know I'm not Justine right now."
"Relax, I already know it's you."
"You what? How did that happen?"
He sighed. "Bad things have been happening to you a lot recently, and I had to go in and save you a couple times. I saw who you were by accident, so it's no use hiding from me now."
I frowned. After all the effort I put into concealing my identity too. "What happened last night?"
"What did you want to know?"
"How was everyone injured? What happened to you?"
"Really? That's what you want to know? Another Villain was under the control of those monsters, and they gave Demonaris and I some burns. We were about to become minced meat when you put yourself between us; that's why you have those bandages. Are you sure you don't remember any of that?"
I shook my head. "But why would I do that if I was also under their control?"
"Beats me. Shouldn't you still be in bed? You suffered the worst wounds out of all of us."
I didn't even notice the pain until he said something. "Where are we anyway?"
He struggled to bring his hand up to his face. Once he burned through the bandages, I gasped.
"Your eyes! They look terrible Malefici!"
His face turned sour. "Thanks for stating the obvious. This must be some kind of special hospital, or else I would still be human right now."
The mysterious figure came back in again. "I see both of you are awake." They took their mask and cloak off to reveal a girl in knight's armor. Golden plates surrounded her eyes, and she wore her long blond hair in two braids. "Your in a hospital in the World of Light."
"I knew it!" Malefici abruptly stated. "And who are you, exactly?"
She smiled. "I am the Knight, the equivalent to your Dragon, I'm guessing?"
I stared in awe. "Your one of the three Light Godesses, aren't you?"
She scratched the back of her head. "Yeah, but please just call me Annet."
"If this is the World of Light, then why am I here?" Malefici looked around.
"All the Villains that have links with Heroes are allowed into the World of Light. Since you are connected to the Grand White Wizard, you have permission to be here with her."

I glanced over at Lucy, who obviously had trouble standing. "Could you sit back down? You're making me nervous."
She frowned, but sat back down on the white bed. "Who else is here?" she asked Annet.
The knight's face turned serious. "All the Heroes and Villains we have, save for Life and Death. The Villains that don't have their partner yet are being locked downstairs."
"We are still missing people?"
Annet nodded. "Right now we're missing our Angel, Kelpie, Unicorn, and Mage User. All the other users are in other rooms on this floor."
"What about us?" I asked.
As if on cue, a figure kicked the door open. I jolted myself right out of the bed, ready to summon my scythe.
"What is he doing here?!"
Annet glanced over at me, then at the Dragon. "You two know each other? Did you not tell me something Eddro?"
He scowled. "There is no need for that, Malefici. I'm bound to the Knight now."
I glared before sitting back down. "Just leave, seeing you makes me sick."
My heart dropped. I still didn't trust the Dragon, and Lucy was here as a human. Before the Dragon had time to see who the other person was, I got up and hit the switch connected to her.
A flash of light blinded us for a second, and Justine was out cold again.
"Was that even necessary?" Annet sped over to Justine and hooked her back up.
"Of course it was. Can I get up now? I feel fine."
The knight was taken aback. "You've only been here for a day! You had over a dozen third degree burns! There is no way you're well enough."
Someone poked there head into the room. "I'm sure it's okay for him to be up and around Ann, you let me go, remember?"
Everyone turned around to find Demonaris with similar injuries compared to mine.
"I know I did, but you'r-" Ann fumbled with her words. She turned back to me after a few seconds, then threw her hands into the air. "Fine! But please be careful."
The Dragon was long gone by the time I was ready to go, and I was greeted by Demonaris when I first left the room.
"How's your girlfriend by the way?"
"She's not my girlfriend! Why does everyone think that?" I crossed my arms. "I had to hit the switch on her, or else the Dragon would have figured out who she was."
He sighed. "You are a very territorial person. Did you want to see everyone else?"
"Everyone else? Who is here?"
"The other Villains, of course. I think your brother is around here too."
Demonaris softly opened a nearby door and motioned me to go inside.
The room was fairly dark, and what was going on inside was something straight out of a sci-fi movie. My brother was locked in a cylinder tank full of some weird liquid, and Arch was hooked up to some cables on the outside.
"Arch? What are you doing?"
She jerked her head up and looked at me. "Oh, it's just you. Apparently Justine and Galifici injured each other pretty bad last night. Galifici lost a lot of magic last night, and I had to be the one to resupply it."
So that must have been was happened with the red glow. She took his magic away temporarily, and Arch has to now resupply it.
"Is he going to be alright?"
"Him? He'll be fine. Part of his humanity will be replaced with an elves blood, but that's it."
That's makes us even, I guess. I wouldn't be surprised if I lost almost all of my humanity by the end of my lifetime, along with Everest. Just the thought of that terrified me.
"Are you almost done?"
The machine she was hooked up to made a weird buzzing sound. "Just finished. Hold on a second."
She removed the giant cables before heading over to what was probably the control center. After pushing a blue button, the liquid was drained.
Arch pulled on a lever, which made the tank fade away. She gently shook him to wake him up.
"Galifici, it's time to get up now, you have company."
The vampire cracked open his eyes and stared right at me. "Malefici? Is that you?"
