Third person POV
While they trek through the forest, they collected some rocks and leaves as memorabilia for themselves. Kiyoshi and Senichi picked up some normal-looking stones while the rest are picking up some fallen leaves. Daku seems to be fine, but he was now having an intrusive thought of killing Kiyoshi's friends in their sleep with a pocket knife. But he doesn't want to and now he's in a fight with that thought. At the same time, he became a yandere, obsessing on Kiyoshi and admiring him as if he was a superior leader to him. He thinks that Kiyoshi was his and his alone.
Meanwhile, while Daku was fighting that thought, a girl was looking at him. She has long, dark blue hair and purple eyes and looks very gloomy. Upon being watched, Daku looked at her, and he was unaware that the girl who was staring at him was having butterflies in her stomach. But, that girl eventually fled the scene before Daku would make a reaction.
Then, Kiyoshi came to him. "Hey, man, what's wrong?"
Hearing that, Daku turned around. "I think there's a gloomy-looking girl who was just staring at me a few moments ago."
"Is that so?"
"Yeah, I had no idea what she was staring at me for."
After that, Kiyoshi tells his group to gather dead tree branches for campfire tonight, and they did so. They began going around to gather any branches they could find. Senichi had the most while Atsushi had the least.
Later, at 5 in the afternoon, they all went back to their campsite just before the sun have set, carrying the tree branches with them. There they piled the branches, and Kiyoshi began to make fire by rubbing two sticks together, creating friction to make heat. After much rubbing and trying, he managed to make a small flame and begins blowing it to expand the fire to the entire pile. Not long after, they began roasting pieces of fish, chicken, carrots, and potatoes for dinner. They still have some rice until the end of their stay.
In their communal, roasted dinner, they begin to tell each other's stories about their mundane, everyday lives. Daku shared how he got out of the darkness thanks to Kiyoshi, who then denies that someone else had the credit for it. Kiyoshi then shared to them about his mundane everyday life prior to meeting Daku. Their friends are very amazed at their friendship. But Daku was hiding his yandere personality from them so they would not be terrified. Meanwhile, the same girl was watching them from behind the trees.
"He's so cool," she thought, directly at Daku.
She didn't have the courage to make an appearance before them so she just retreated to her campsite somewhere.
Later, at 9 in the evening, while Kiyoshi and his friends are sleeping in their individual tents, Daku appears at one of Kiyoshi's friends' holding a pocket knife.
"He's mine...He's mine..." he thought. "I would never let any of you take him away from me."
But, something prevented him from doing it, and it's tearing him apart in the inside out.
Eventually, he aborted his crime and retreated back to his own tent.
Luckily, he didn't make any noise so Kiyoshi and his friends didn't wake up.
That was lucky of them.
But, how far Daku would go to keep Kiyoshi for himself?
