"Clyde Larson?"
Lynn saw him on the television multiple times already.
As far as she knows, this man can captivate a woman's heart in a snap of a finger. Mysterious and a man with a few words, which the reason why women get crazy about him.
But oh well, she wasn't born yesterday. She knows that it's only a way for him to attract women.
"Yes, the one and only Clyde Larson. One of the country's superstar."
She could sense that Mia is exhilarated by the anticipation of dating a superstar.
"Are you interested?"
"I am."she answered.
"So you're going to buy a ticket?"
Mia stared at her intently as if she was being tested.
"No."she responded firmly.
"Clyde's fans will curse you in your dream."Mia stated with her sulky voice.
She has reasons for not joining the raffle event. First, dating a man for just three days is not worth of her money unless it's one month. Another, the chance of getting picked is too low. On top of that, she's working at the company, and she knows well that the event is for promotion and to gain popularity.
"Just buy a ticket and join the raffle."she suggested halfheartedly.
"I want to, but I have to go home with us this Christmas."
She stifled a laugh, for she could see the disappointment written all over on Mia's face.
"You seem to have lost money the way you look now."
"Not only that I lost money but even a house. I'm going to cry."
She lifted her brow, for she's not enjoying anymore. Her friend is getting emotional, for just a man.
"I'm serious, that's why I thought..."
She distances herself a little from Mia because she gives her a different look.
"Lynn, join the raffle for me." Mia said and smiled at her sheepishly.
"Don't include me with your craziness over that superstar."she responded coldly, as she took another sip from her ice coffee.
Mia hugged her, this is what she does to her when she wants something from her.
"Nothing will happen to you even I join the raffle. You are just wasting money and time."
"No. If you tell me everything that you will experience with Clyde Larson, I would feel that I'm with him through you."Mia insisted on her.
"And do you think I will win? The day is still high for you to dream Mia."
"I know, but who knows, right? There is nothing wrong in trying for me."
She shook her head as a sign of disagreeing.
"Lynn, please ..." she gave Mia a sidelong glance until she made up her mind at last.
"Fine, I'll join the raffle if you can guarantee that he's good in bed."she spoke aggressively, without knowing that the focal person she's talking about is just three meters away from her.
Mia quickly covered her lips with her hands, but she also removed it after a second.
"He's good in bed." Mia exclaimed, luring her desperately.
"How do you say so?"
"Lynn, he's one of the country's superstars. Of course, that's given." Mia assured her again, but she smiled naughtily.
"Show me his video."
"Video of what?"
"Video of his performance in bed."
She saw Mia perplexed for a second. She then started to walk away when she noticed that it already sank in her friend's mind.
"Lynn!"she looked back.
"Show me his video and I'll buy tickets right away." then she finally came out from the rooftop while Mia chased her.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
The man in a business suit finally cracked a laugh as soon as the two women were out of their sight.
However, the other man wearing a black cap remained silent as he only pressed his lips into a thin line.
"I hope that woman will be picked. I think that would be great."
Clyde glared at his second cousin , Kyle.
"Who knows, maybe he'll be the one to bring out what you're hiding in your body."
"Kyle, I'm warning you." He said nastily. Though he's quite reserved person, he can still get annoyed easily with little things.
"Why? You don't want to? You know from that woman's voice, I can say she is not ordinary. Reasonable but with sly personality."Kyle doesn't stop teasing him, and he's getting irritated by it.
"I will not do that event anymore, look for someone else." He stated in his flat voice.
"Hey, don't be like that. You already agreed to this event."
Kyle confronted him, but he didn't budge even just a bit.
"I did, but I change my mind."
"You changed your mind but don't forget that I'm the vice president of this corporation, so I'll still ask you to do the project."
"And I'm the CEO here." His tone was small but emphatic.
Kyle smiled at him. "Mr. CEO, this is for your employees. And more importantly, for your love life."
He was about to protest, but Kyle put his arm around him, "Let's go, my superstar."
He removed his hand from his shoulder, and he walked ahead of him.
"Tsk-tsk, this grumpy old bachelor. Wait for me!"
