Under close examination and crossed arms, Darren watched with heavy lidded eyes and a glare. He didn't know why and would certainly not bother himself in finding the answer as to why he let this stranger inside their house. His house!
He remembered staring, gaping even but he cannot remember agreeing. And the next thing Darren realizes is that the man is moving in his kitchen as if it was his own.
"I didn't agree and didn't let you. This is trespassing" Darren mumbled, glaring at the back of the man currently facing him. The man simply hummed in response and continued cooking what he refers is their dinner.
"How can I be sure you're not some bad person? That you won't steal something in the house? That you're not a killer? That you aren't having some vile ideas inside your head?" Darren said, not bothering to stop or even filter his mouth for he is known for being frank, for having the sharp tongue who doesn't care if he offends someone. He's not made to be a softie after all.
The man chuckles playfully as he finished the food he's been cooking and Darren didn't do any indication to look what it was he cooked. He simply raised an eyebrow elegantly as he stared straight to his eyes.
The man shrugged and slid the food in the table, settling himself across him. Darren fought of the urge to follow his movements when the man crossed his arms over his chest. He tried to ignore how his muscles contracted with the action and how luscious it looked. He tried. Really.
"I sense judgment" the man started and Draco sneered.
"Actually yes. Who are you? You're not some crazed criminal escapee, are you?" he scorned. The man stared amused and tilted his head.
"Aren't you the criminal?" his tone was nonchalant but Darren can sense the vague mockery in it so he had the guts to look offended and annoyed.
"How dare you! You don't even know me! How can I even say you're good? You're probably some poor guy who pretends to have his motorcycle broken to take advantage to some unlucky victim" he drawled and rolled his eyes.
The man looked at him, stared in silence for minutes before his mouth twitched into a smirk and Darren fought another urge to swoon.
He cussed himself for turning into a hopeless starved man.
"I fucking love the attitude but I do not appreciate it" his voice commanding and the way he curses affected Darren with the impossible turned possible.
He is turned on! It's also not helping the way the man clenched his jaw and his tattoos followed to move. Is he lusting over this unknown man? Oh Pete's sake, this is not good. So not good.
Darren scoffed in acting, masking his emotions with nonchalance. "As if I care"
The man once again chuckled as he shrugged and began eating. "So..." he began and looked at Darren with serious and yet mischievous eyes.
"What happened?" he asked. Darren knotted his forehead and rolled his eyes right after.
"None of your business" he drawls and hissed. The man once again hummed.
"Name's Tim by the way" he introduced and Darren raise one eyebrow. "Did I ask?"
The man only chuckled and stared in amusement. As if Darren is an amusement enough. Of course not. Darren Chu is not just an amusement, he is the fun. And this man - Tim by the way looks like a person who wouldn't get offended even if one would tell him the most disparaging and sly innuendo.
"You do realize that I can do what I want to you and you wouldn't get any help" Tim started sounding as if he was threatening in which Darren simply and easily ignored.
"Try. Try and I will kick you to your balls" Darren warned and Tim had the audacity to laugh aloud. It sounded genuine and soft and yet deep. He was looking like the happiest man on earth. As if Darren can be the most exciting and interesting amusement which is both an offensive and rewarding remark he can get.
Tim, after seconds, stopped laughing but still looking truthfully entertained at the moment. "What's your name Sir?" he asks.
Darren rolled his eyes and gave him a discouraging smile. Did Darren hear it right? This man, Tim, referred to him as sir?
Darren glared and stood up. Not bothering to answer his question as he stared.
"You can sleep at the living room and do not go upstairs or I will cut your bollocks off. And I want you out of the house exactly in the morning" he said fiercely and walked off, ignoring the wink and the playful whistle that Tim gave him as he left the dining.
Darren went to his own bedroom, made sure he locked the door before proceeding to do his nighttime routine. He didn't bother to check his phone, whether to see Lee or Lily had called or texted him.
Darren knows he got enough worries on his hands and he needs his friends to help but he's annoyed at the moment and not having gotten what he wants for the first try is something that pisses him off. Everything has been given to him with no problems and waiting and worrying has never been a problem of his.
He needs a lawyer, the best one who could stand up for his words and help him redeem what his family had lost and remove what his family is currently receiving. He doesn't need hatred and defamation. He needs redemption, winning, and most importantly, their name at the top.
He will do anything to prove that his parents are innocent. That they were sabotaged, trapped, and pointed to. And the very first step to do just that is to get himself a reliable lawyer.
But without his friends at the moment for his pride is simply too high to call them, who could help him? Who could help him look for one? He cannot just break out of the house arrest or he'll be risking himself for worse and he cannot gamble what little freedom he has now.
House arrest is better than jails after all.
