Riku narrowed his eyes at the man who suddenly walked into Nishida's office. Everything about him was dark and eerie. He had black hair and grey eyes, the look in his eyes seemingly devoid of life and emotions. His eyes were so dark they almost seemed completely black, and he wore this vile smile on his face. His skin was pale, but he had quite a bit of muscle to him despite looking like an undead corpse. "Welcome...big brother..." Nishida muttered, not making eye contact with the man. In fact, she didn't look at him at all. Riku noticed that she seemed to actually be trembling slightly. "What can I help you with? I'm a bit busy..."
"Brother..?!" Riku said to himself, internally shocked.
"You know why I'm here. I'm here to shut down your stupid association. Then I'm going to bring you back home with me..." He chuckled and she visibly shivered.
Riku glared at the man a bit. He didn't know why, but he felt the urge to step in despite all Nishida had done to him. "What do you mean shut it down? Do you know how society would view you if you did something like that? Why do you care about this place?"
The man glanced at Riku. "Ah, you're that magic boy who she made join this facility. Let me tell you, I have an all male association just like this with magics of my own as well."
Riku remembered Nishida saying something about another male she knew who had magic, but didn't mention who it was. "Is this the guy she was talking about..?" Riku thought to himself, unaware that Nishida knew quite a few males that possessed magic. None of them were just however.
"I created my facility before hers, so I'm going to tear this one to the ground. Eventually anyways. I don't really care how society views me. Men are the superior race and it should remain that way. I think women need to learn their place in this world."
Riku glared. "Yeah right! As if we'd let you!"
He smirked. "I like that look in your eyes." He paused, getting a good look at Riku. "Wait a minute...you're Riku Fumiya aren't you..?!"
Riku stared at the man. "What of it..?"
The man chuckled darkly for a moment. "Oh it's nothing you won't find out on your own. And I will be tearing this place down. I came to discuss the terms of that with my dear sister..." He looked to her, but Nishida still didn't say anything, her eyes dark.
Riku looked to her as well, frowning. "Just what has this bastard done to you..?!" He wondered to himself.
"What's the matter sis? Aren't you going to say anything?" Nishida's brother stared at her, frowning. "Hello? I told you to say something." He commanded with a stern tone, making her tremble a bit at his tone, reliving a memory from her past. As she continued to stay silent, the man glared at her. "I said say something you stupid bitch!" He raised his hand.
Riku was in between them in a flash, catching the man's hand before it made contact with Nishida's cheek. "You'd better keep you damn paws to yourself or I won't hesitate to tear them right off..." He glared at the man ferociously.
The man's eyes widened slightly, not from shock, but from pure amusement, and he smirked lightly. "Is that so..? Alright then... I won't touch her." He pulled his hand away. "I think I've come up with what I want to do to decide if this association stays or not."
Riku continued to glare, Nishida speaking up with a stutter. "W-What is it..?"
"The fate of your association rests on this boy's shoulders. I don't know what his abilities are, so he'll face someone from my magics. If he wins, it stays, if he loses..." The brother trailed off, chuckling.
Nishida's eyes widened. "B-But he's a new member, I can't just-"
"I accept." Riku cut in, making Nishida's eyes widen even more.
"W-What? R-Riku..!"
The man smirked wider. "Then we have a deal?"
Riku glared, but with determination in his eyes. "We do."
The man chuckled once more. "My name is Hiroshi Nishida. Don't forget it kid." He turned away and began walking out. "We can set up the date and location later. Prepare for now. Remember my name when you lose and you watch as this place you all care for so dearly is destroyed. I plan to bring you down, no matter what." He exited, his dark chuckle echoing down the hall.
Riku turned to Nishida, who now had tears in her eyes, trembling still. "W-Why..? Why would you..?"
Riku ruffled her hair. "I said I'd help you even if I wasn't one of your magics, remember? When I said that, I was prepared to help you as soon as possible. Right now is no different." He lightly clenched his fists. "I won't let him tear down something you've worked so hard to build up, I promise."
Nishida's tears spilled and she hugged the boy tightly, making his eyes go wide this time. "You could get really hurt you moron... I'm responsible for you, what happens if you die or something..?!"
He hesitantly hugged her back, gently rubbing her backside as well. "I'm used to those kinds of things by now. I'm not going to die or anything so don't worry, I'll win." He chuckled. "I'll have to get ready asap.." He tried to pull away, but Nishida continued to hold him, her face buried in his shoulder. He looked at her, frowning. He saw Artemis in her in a way: a strong outer shell with a weak interior. He gently ran his fingers through her hair, comforting her until she pulled away on her own.
"I'm sure you have plenty of questions... I'll have the magics help you prepare later... They'll train with you and help you get used to your magic... For now, let's get lunch. You can ask me anything you like.."
He nodded. "I'll make sure not to get too personal..."
She shook her head, smiling at him. "You've told me about your past, so it's only fair you know mine, especially after what I made you experience." Nishida sat down, pressing a button on her desk. "Anything in particular you'd like?" Nishida looked at him, tilting her head.
He shook his head. "I'm fine with anything you get." He took a seat again, looking at his hand for a moment, thinking to himself, "That guy...could he have..."
She nodded. "Kira, the usual please, just two plates."
"Roger dodger ma'am!" A cheerful and cute voice said back through the little speaker.
"Kira's one of the magics, leader of the cooking club." Nishida explained.
"Interesting..." Riku instantly began to wonder what this girl was like
"You're gonna make me jealous if you've always got other women on the brain." Nishida teased.
"Oh hush. Don't start teasing me just because I was a little nice to you." Riku rolled his eyes.
"I'll tease whoever I want, including you because it's what I wanna do." She giggled.
"Don't expect a reaction out of me..." Internally, Riku was somewhat grateful Nishida was acting like herself again.
After only a few minutes a short girl with shoulder length, yellow hair and yellow eyes walked in, carrying two plates of chicken parmesan. "Your meals." The girl said happily, setting the plates down in front of the two before bowing and exiting.
"She's ranked eighth by the way." Nishida said before slurping up a noodle. "So, let's get down to business." She sighed.
Riku nodded, hesitantly taking a bite of his food and thinking to himself, "Huh...this is pretty good..."
