Riku F's punch knocked Hiroshi off his feet and sent him rolling on the ground, making him grunt and groan, but he quickly stood up, holding his cheek. "Y-You stupid brat..!"
A fire burned in Riku's eyes as he readied himself, taking a stance. "What? Didn't think I could fight without magic?" He kept up the tough persona, but internally Riku was lightly screaming. "Is his body made of lead or is L's body just that weak?! I've been training it all this time and my fist still hurts after just one punch?!" Riku narrowed his eyes. "Also, I'm going to be 18 soon. No need to call me a child, old man." Hiroshi scoffed and dashed to the boy, keeping Riku's magic at bay with his anti magic power. He threw a few punches and kicks, aimed with precision and meant to do heavy damage, but Riku swiftly dodged and parried them all.
"Even if his body is pretty weak, I'm still fast and I've definitely increased my stamina. I can do this..!" Riku pumped himself up internally, watching and waiting for an opportunity to attack Hiroshi. Then, he saw it, an opening as Hiroshi pulled his fist back once more. Riku quickly fell back, Hiroshi punching forward and completely missing Riku, who then stood on his hands and kicked the man in the chin. Hiroshi stumbled back, grunting and holding his chin, and Riku then quickly did a flip, spinning and kicking Hiroshi's chest, making him fall back yet again.
Hiroshi gasped, coughing as he landed hard on his back. "I don't understand... How can a stupid kid fight so well when he did nothing but sit in his room all day at home..?! There's no way you could've learned how to fight that well in a mere couple of months..!" He said all this as he began standing again, not really looking hurt at all despite the light bruises on his face.
"How did you..? No, it doesn't matter, I can guess." Riku stared at him with a blank face before smirking suddenly. "I guess the age is gettin to ya, huh pops?" He chuckled, saying what he thought Riku L. would say in this situation. Hiroshi grit his teeth and clenched his fists tightly, seething with rage at this point. Hiroshi stood up, pulling out a card from his coat pocket suddenly. "What the..? What's that supposed to do..?" Riku questioned internally and narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
Riku readied himself, but before Hiroshi could do anything a young man came up from behind him and grabbed his wrist. "No need to lose your temper headmaster, I'll deal with him."
Hiroshi turned and smirked lightly, putting the card away. "Very well... Don't let me down...Kenji."
The boy smirked as he walked around Hiroshi and into Riku's view, looking no older than 14 or 15 at most. He had platinum blond hair that went just past his shoulders, his eyes grey and ears pierced. He was wearing what looked like a mix of a school uniform and clothing a delinquent would wear, but he also had a hint of nerdiness to him. Riku couldn't put finger his finger on it, but he could tell that this Kenji boy had some kind of nerdy feature.
"Were you supposed to be my opponent?" Riku asked with a blank face, keeping his eyes fixated on the both of them.
"Yes, yes I was." Kenji said with a confident smirk on his face.
"Well, too bad, all I want to do right now is kick his ass..." He looked to Hiroshi as he said this. "So if you'll kindly stay out of my way..."
"You'll have to get through me if you want to fight our headmaster pal, no exceptions." Kenji blocked the path to the headmaster.
"Oh yeah? And you're gonna stop me?" He let his magical aura flow, not nearly as powerful as it was in his world, but still quite strong nonetheless.
Kenji blinked and snickered before breaking out in a fit of laughter. "Yes, I am!"
Riku stared him down. "Move. I'm not gonna tell you twice."
"Ooh~ Scary~" Kenji chuckled, wiping a tear from laughing so hard. "I don't think you understand yet, so I'll show you... Here, the magics call me the One Man Army." He then released his aura, his body glowing in a blue outline and his hair rising slightly.
They both stared one another down. Riku imagined if they were in his world, the ground would probably be shaking violently right about now. Hiroshi put an anti-magic barrier around the entire room, that way their fight wouldn't damage any part of the building or any of the furniture, decorations, floors, walls, and ceiling of the room they were in now. The antimagic wouldn't affect the two of them individually, but it would cancel out their magic if it were to touch the barrier. The two sensed and saw the barrier, but paid no mind to it, not letting their focus break.
Riku readied the first element he could think of to attack while preparing something to defend with as well. He fired several tiny balls of water at Kenji, who proceeded to run and dodge like it was nothing. The balls of water turned to nothingness as they touched the walls and furniture, not doing any damage to any of it. Kenji smirked as he ran at Riku, and Riku back flipped off the stairs, Kenji following him quickly, jumping from the stairs to the wall and using it to kick himself to Riku while he was in the process of back flipping still. Kenji reached Riku with unnatural speed and punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground quickly with a wild smirk on his face.
Riku grunted, but caught himself and skidded against the floor a bit. "Speed, is that his magic..?" Riku thought to himself.
Kenji landed on the floor perfectly, smirking at Riku still. "What's the matter? If you can't handle me when I'm not using any magic, then you're practically finished already."
Riku's eyes widened slightly. "He wasn't using any magic just then..?! But he moved so fast it was almost inhuman!" Kenji dashed at Riku once again, Riku preparing himself and holding his battle stance. Riku parried and blocked as many punches and kicks from Kenji as he could, but he was just too fast. Kenji knocked him around a bit before finally kicking him into the front desk, Riku grunting as he slammed into the desk and groaning a bit from the pain of the bruises now covering his upper body. "If only my body was a little stronger...I could easily take this kid..!" Riku growled internally and stood up, readying a flame in his hand.
"About time you started using your magic, I was starting to get disappointed." Kenji said with a hint of annoyance in his voice, but still smirking nonetheless. Riku glared at him before firing the flame, making it explode before it even made contact with him. He then quickly fired a bolt of lightning through the smoke, though weak, he hoped it would do a bit of damage to him. When the smoke cleared, Kenji was holding his hand up, the sparks flying around him and he seemed completely unphased. However, that wasn't all that had changed, for there were also several black and white chess pieces floating around him now, each piece sparking with magic power.
He stood there, chuckling as his hair rose from the amount of power surging around him. "There's one more thing I forgot to reveal to you Riku..." He muttered as he grabbed a black rook piece and a white bishop piece, the two disappearing in his palms. Riku watched, but couldn't even blink before he felt a sharp pain in his gut. Kenji was in front of him, fist pressed into his stomach, and he threw Riku into the wall from the force of his sudden, quick punch.
"A-Agh!!" Riku groaned and felt like several of his bones had just shattered, falling to the ground effortlessly.
Kenji looked at his palm before clenching his fist, his fist sparking with power. "I'm number one out of all the magics we have here, One Man Army, Kenji is my full title..." He looked to Riku with a wicked smirk. "I teach all the men here how to fight with their magic..." Riku's resolve started to falter as he heard that.
