I had no idea where I was supposed to go, and you could probably guess where I chose to go. The playground. I finally made it there, out of breath. I collapsed onto the ground out of exhaustion. I didn't faint, I just didn't have enough energy to hold myself up anymore. I didn't have a watch or anything so I didn't know what time it was.
"What the bloody hell are you doing out here again? You know you're technically trespassing right?" I heard a deep voice, I almost recognized it, but I couldn't put a face to the voice. I looked up, barely able to hold myself up. And I saw that piercing platinum blonde hair. He was wearing a nice black on black suit. He looked so handsome with it on. I could NOT take my eyes off of him.
"You like the view eh?" He asked.
" I'm sorry I bothered you I had to um, go- to th-the store for so-some food I stopped here t-to eat." I lied, trying not sound broken. I couldn't look him in the face. Because if I did, he'd find the fresh bruise on my cheek. I looked for my bag so I could start off to the train station. I saw it had opened by the hard impact of my fall. My Hogwarts Acceptance letter hanging out of it.
"You're headed to Hogwarts are you?" He asks sternly.
"Yes, um do you know who to get to the train station?" I asked while cleaning up the spilled mess on the mulch, gathering it all in my bag, still avoiding his figure.
"How about you come with me? I'm headed there too." He said, his voice softened a bit.
I didn't know what to say. I didn't know what to do. But I knew that it was the only way to get to Hogwarts on time. I was kind of in shock. I hadn't expected this boy to act kindly. By the tone of his voice I thought he was more serious and mean. I forgot all about my beating that happened before this, and made the stupid mistake of looking at him, and making eye contact.
I could see the fear in his eyes. His piercing silver eyes. Oh my goodness they were so gorgeous. Everything about this boy was just gorgeous.
"Merlins sake what the bloody hell happened?"
He asked. I had to come up with a lie. Quickly. The first thing that came to mind was...
"I ran into the light pole on the way here." I could practically see the disbelief in his face.
"What really happened to you?" He said walking over towards me. He reached out his arm and I flinched. He looked confused but started rubbing his thumb against my bruise. His hands were so soft and warm. He swept his fingers over my bruise with the most gentle touch. I didn't even know tears were coming out of my eyes until I felt him wipe one away.
"Come on, let's get to Hogwarts?"
I followed him.
When we made it to the train station, we were in a state of awkward silence.
"What's your blood status?"
What the hell does that mean? My blood status?
"What is that supposed to mean?" I relied.
"You know, pure-blood like me, meaning both parents are wizards and witches or a mud blood, meaning you have one parent who is a muggle and one who is a witch."
That was a mouthful I thought to myself.
"Oh I'm a mud-blood". I simply stated, with a small smile widening across my face. I couldn't smile very big because of my bruise. It hurt like a bitch.
"After this train ride, we never speak again. I don't want to be talking to a filthy mud blood like you. It's bad for my reputation. And plus, I don't want to be near your dirty blood anyways." He said this with a disgusted look on his face. Maybe he is serious and mean.
No matter how much I didn't want them to, his words hurt. I'm dirty, and filthy?
My year is probably going to be a living hell.
