Chapter 5 - Chapter 3: 2 years later...

Two years later since the day Tsuruki was captured.

Professor Hojichi: "Its been exactly two years since you were captured. How does it feel to finally become head of are second most elite squadron, Elemental squadron six?"

Tsuruki: "Hmmm, two years huh? ....Indifferent."

Professor Hojichi: "Hahaha! I knew you'd say that. After all it was the first ever word you spoke to me after I asked you how you were doing after your first test"

Tsuruki: "How's the hooded bastard doing?"

Professor Hojichi: "Chigeru's doing well. Why? Have you taken a liking to him?"

Tsuruki: "Tsk, as if he's someone you can like. You'd have to be a psychopath to look up to that bastard."

Professor Hojichi: "Well you may be right, he tends to lean on the brutal side. You'd especially know after taking his punishments. I have to say though, I am grateful for his service to me. Not just anyone can lead this industries greatest squadron"

.....

Professor Hojichi: "Well, I should get going. I believe you have a mission to infiltrate an enemy base and some other stuff, correct?"

Tsuruki: "Yes, we begin the operation in about five minutes. Are you busy today?"

Professor Hojichi: "I am, I have a meeting to attend with some commanders of the Japanese Elemental Military Force (JEMF). Anyways good luck, not that you need it cause I'm confident in your abilities, but you know, don't push yourself too much."

Tsuruki: "..Likewise."

Currently infiltrating the United Elemental Resistance Force's (UERF) station, Nishiki Station.

UERF Elemental one: "Shit! What the Fuck?! Three abilities! This is bullshit!"

UERF Elemental two: "We're not going to make it at this rate! Nothing we use seems to hit him!"

UERF Commander of Nishiki Station: "Hold out just a little longer! We'll be having backup here any second now!"

UERF Elemental one: "They're tier three elementals at the very least. Except for the one in front! He's probably a tier two or even tier one!"

Note

UERF Commander of Nishiki Station: Damn! A potential tier one?! I hope the backup can handle it, otherwise we'll lose this station.

Tsuruki walks up to the two UERF elementals and and takes them hostage, cutting off their hands to keep them from focusing on using their abilities. He needed the commander alive, but he wasn't sure on the commanders tier. Therefore it would be dangerous to rush in.

Tsuruki: "I have two of your soldiers hostage! If you want them to live surr-"

The commander rushed in to attempt a single strike kill with his blood blade, but failed. Tsuruki wields three elements, fire, lightning, and dark. Wielding the lighting element boosted his movement, and allowed him to react before being killed. Tsuruki wielded the dark element to deal great damage to the commanders arms and legs.

Tsuruki: "Well that was easy, I didn't even have to finish my sentence"

UERF Commander of Nishiki Station:"Let them go. If you do, I'll tell you whatever you want"

Tsuruki: "So you're willing to betray your own allies for the lives of two soldiers?"

UERF Commander of Nishiki Station: "That's right, they have families and don't deserve to die here and now."

Suddenly, the UERF backup squadron arrived and headed straight for the scene. Tsuruki held the commander captive and realized the commander only said that to stall them. He never intended to give any information away. The UERF backup squadron showed up, and by Tsuruki's surprise he made eye contact with someone he thought he'd never see again.

Tsuruki: "K-Kira?"

Kira: "Tsu.. ruki? What are you doing here?"

At this moment, Tsuruki thought about every decision and every action he took from the day he gave up, till now. An unfamiliar feeling welled up inside, he wasn't sure what to do. This feeling told him not to fight her, but by not fighting her it would be an act of betrayal against Hojichi industries. This reunion made things complicated, really complicated. Tsuruki had to make the decision whether to fight her or not. Once again, Tsuruki's future lays on the outcome of yet another unexpected situation.
