Logan haven't left my side, since our conversation at the lake and I can't ask any questions, about his quiet phone calls or mysterious text messages.
He has his mood swings, but tries to keep it away from me, or keep himself away from me when he is dealing with it.
Justin moved Amy and his daughter into our penthouse or really Logan's penthouse on a temporary basis until our lives go back to normality, while he's still under Logan's beck and call. Amy hasn't been t the cabin and I doubt Justin will allow that, but he did promise mom and I, especially Jer, that Tina would return and he would be in charge of her.
Cameron's is MIA but when I brought up his absence with Logan, while we lay in bed chatting, his body tensed up beside me and I was met with his angry glare, when I looked at him.
"You're missing him?" Logan asked, sarcastically, glaring at me, his eyes dark and icy.
I burst out laughing at his expression, "are you kidding me? Please don't tell me you're jealous?" I wondered, shaking my head in disbelief.
Looking away from me, he gives me the silent treatment, until I grabbed his chin forcing him to look at me. "He likes you." Logan says softly, without any emotions, when our eyes met.
I gasp in surprise!
"What?" I lifted myself to stare down at Logan, "I'm sorry, I never encouraged that." My smile leaves my face, because I don't want my husband to think, I did this. I encouraged his best friend. I am on a wheelchair, for God's sake.
"Logan I never encouraged this, him" I defended myself, " I would never do that to you, to us. Cameron is your friend and I treated and trusted him the way I did with Justin." I continued trying to convince my husband that there's nothing between Cameron and I.
Wrapping his arm me, Logan pulls my chest flat on his, "I know you didn't. but I sensed it from a conversation we had, some time ago. I also know Can would never cross the line with you." Logan admits. What I can't believe is that he knew about this a while now?
Palming my face, Logan pulls my lips closer to his.
"I know you've got no place left in your heart, because I took up full residency after our first date." Logan boasts confidently, whispering against my lips, slowly at first. then deepens it, adding more intensity.
I felt myself heating up as I remember Logan and I, together in bed.
"What's got you all flushed, big sis." Jer interrupted my thoughts, causing me to jump.
I quickly lowered my eyes, dropping the knife I was using to cut a piece of cheesecake.
"Hmm" Jer mused, sitting beside me. "Sharing?" He asked cautiously, because by now, everyone knows to never touch my favourite cakes, especially if my husband brought it for me.
Still flushed from my thoughts and the heat, I nod.
"Let's take it to the back patio behind my bedroom, because it's breezier and cooler with the river so close." I suggested to him and he agrees.
"Yeah," Jer nods, his expression gloomy, alerting me to the fact, that he wants something or wants to find out something, when I know nothing that goes on around here.
Always at the back of my mind is Jess's well-being, but I can't asked questions so I have been waiting for Jer to mention Jess and this is the first time he sought me out in a week
it's already been a week since Logan and I spoke about mines and our unborn child's safety and I still don't know how safe we are.
I ended up bringing half of the cheesecake, planning to give Jer, less than quarter.
Stretched out on the sofa, drinking water and thankful the washroom is close by.
"I know you need to tell me something or ask me something, so spill" I invited Jer to talk, which is the reason he's here in the first place.
"Jess called" he started nervously, rubbing his hands together.
"Is she okay?" I asked fearfully, sitting upright instantly.
Chuckling Jer leans across and hugs me, "yes she is fine" he laughs dryly. "She hasn't self destruct yet." He assures me and I breathe a sigh of relief.
If Jess is fine, then what?
"Is something wrong with Gwen?" I asked quickly.
"Do you remember the name, Angela Lawrence?" He asks, holding my eyes hostage with his.
I nod slowly, wondering where this conversation is going and what is he doing bringing her name up, with me.
"Yes, her family and Logan's grandparents are good friends." I admitted, uneasy with Jer giving me a suspicious look.
"I met her the morning of the accident" I added because Jer knows how difficult that day was for me.
Jer's eyes widen as he recollects Logan's grandparents, visitors that dreadful morning.
Leaning back, this eyes lowered tapping his chin thoughtfully.
"What is it Jer?" I asked nervously, "you're scaring me." I told him, wondering if Angela has something to do with Logan.
Lifting his eyes back to mines, Jer eyes darken as he tries to read me?
"Jamie, she's missing" Jer informs me and I gasp.
What did you do Logan?
"Okay?" I responded nervously, "but why are you asking me?" I asked him, trying to fight my fear.
Shrugging, he sits back, stretching his entire body across the love seat couch, "nothing." He retorts, with a dry laugh.
Picking up a water bottle, I flung it across at him. "Nothing?" I yelled. "You come here asking questions scaring me and then tell me it's nothing?" I said, picking up his bottle and swung it at his head, not missing my target.
The end of water that remained in the splashed on his face and he sat up, glaring at me.
"Serves you right for scaring me like that."
