"You've been silent for nearly an hour, two more minutes won't hurt, right?" I heard Logan chuckling his voice and his soft steps retreating.
Panic starts setting in, "I'm afraid" I cried, pulling off the blindfold, with Logan reaching my side at the same time, grabbing ahold of me.
"Hey, hey, hey" I'm right here" Logan standing beside the open jeep where I sat, draws my head towards his chest, caressing my back, comforting me.
As the shaking stopped, I slowly drew my head, away from his chest. but he palms my face, lifting it to meet his, staring into my eyes,
Logan continues staring at me in silence to ensure that I was better.
When he was satisfied, that I was composed enough, he looks around, then smiles at me, "wait here" he went to move away, but I grabbed his hand, again.
"Don't... Don't... Please, don't.. leave me here alone" I stuttered and again I see the same expression as Logan's eyes piercing intensely into mines.
Smiling, a smile that doesn't reach his eyes, "I'm just going back there to get your chair" he points towards the back of the jeep.
I quickly releases his hand, mentally slapping myself for nearly losing it. This hasn't happened in years and now, it's almost every day.
Logan returned with the chair and opens it in front of me with a broad smile.
"I'm sorry for being such a pain in the ass lately. I never use to be this way" I quickly apologises, to Logan's still smiling face.
Chuckling, "don't worry I know its not you" he says and I frowned, "it's my baby girl, whose already being a pain in our asses" Logan laughs and I protectively cradles my baby bump.
Huffing, at him for calling our baby a pain in the ass, I lifted my arms for him to help me out, without straining myself further.
Logan wheeled me to a clearing near the river bed, where a long table was laid out that's covered down with red and white picnic cloths and three bar-b-que pits on the side.
"SURPRISE!" Everyone yelled in unison. I gasp and covered my mouth in surprise, gazing up at Logan's smiling face. I paused, enjoying his excitement, something I haven't seen in a very longtime.
Mom and Mrs. Stanley approach me with open arms, "you didn't think I would miss out on your big date, did you?" mom releases me, "after all, we missed your wedding" mom laughs, shifting for Mrs. Stanley to hug me, placing a gift bag on my lap.
Confused, I look up to her, "what?" I asked softly.
Laughing softly, "a late wedding gift" she gently touches my cheeks and walks around the table.
Jer comes next, pushing Justin out of the way and places a gift, horribly wrapped in Jer's style, as Gwen hovers awkwardly behind him. I still cant help but search her eyes and try to read her body language for any sign of betrayal.
Gwen leans and pecks my cheeks and I could sense Logan stiffen beside me and mom narrowed her eyes in observation.
All the guys that work alongside Logan and his dad came, hugging Logan and shaking my hand, handing Logan one large box, "it's from all of us" Bob tells Logan, while smiling politely at me.
Finally mom and dad came, each holding a small Jewellery box.
Dad hugged Logan, before leaning to kiss my cheek.
"Congratulations sweetheart" dad says. "We missed out on a wedding reception but it's never too late" he chuckles, opening my hand and placing the box in my hand.
Logan confiscated the box and quickly opens it, then looks at his parents and me with a frown.
Since I couldn't see what's inside the box, I pulled Logan's hand, as he willingly allowed me to peek inside.
All I saw was a single key and like Logan, I looked up confused at his parents.
Smiling, mom and dad chuckle, mysteriously at each other.
"That's the key to the lock of your new house that is being built overlooking the lake" mom claps excitingly and I am no longer confuse as I remember the conversation mom and I had a few days ago.
Lifting my hands, dad and mom leans down and embraces me. "Thank you so very much" I whispered softly.
"Okay, okay" Logan interrupts us, "I think that I am the only one not understanding this gift" he still frowns and I held his hand, entwining our fingers.
"I'll explain later" I promised him and he nods, but still frowns at the key, before shoving it into his trouser pocket.
Lastly mom, lifts my right hand and slides a huge emerald rock surrounded by diamonds, set on a platinum band, unto my finger. "It's my mother's ring and she always wanted to give it to Logan's bride, but left, this earth before he got married" she explains, lifting my hand to examine the ring on my finger, as the sunlight shun against it.
The bar-b-que went on without a single problem and I smiled when I tasted the sauce after everyone kept commenting on it's taste.
"Thank you" I mouth across the table to Jer, for making grams special recipe.
Jer simply nods, turning to Gwen who was trying to get his attention. I silently observed them, hoping that I did not make a mistake by encouraging their relationship. If she or anyone hurts my brother again, I will personally pull the f***ing trigger.
I drank little because of my pregnancy and bad bathroom habits, hoping that I won't need one until we get back home. home to the cabin.
I stared at Logan, mingling with the guys with his dad joining in, as they joked around with each other.
Gwen joined me, as I sat observing everyone and their day off. My eyes automatically clashed with Logan and again I realized that as much fun as he's having, I'm always within his view.
"So you didn't get a wedding ceremony" Gwen commented with a small smile but I can see that she is curious. "How come?" She continues and I cautiously plan my response for her, even though it was all innocent.
