JAMIE'S POV
Logan walks into his closet and I then heard hangers being pushed roughly.
He walked out, empty handed, shaking his head, before opening draws.
"You brought some of your clothes from back home?" he asks, as he continues to search.
"What are you looking for, Mr Daniels?" I asked politely, staring at his back.
He spun around, with a smirk, "I need something for my date's mother to wear" he said, walking back into the closet.
Frowning, date's mother?
Jess did bring quite a few of my clothing from the house, but I honestly never had cause to wear them, since the only place I've been to, since the accident is the hospital.
Logan walked back in with a loose fitting white silk nightwear, that looks like it's part of a bridal line for a wedding night, that his mother made.
He held it up, looking at it, appreciating the style.
Chuckling, he walks over to me, " mom made this, didn't she?" he asks.
Without waiting on an answer, "come on, let's see how it fits" he pulls the cover off me.
"I know how it fits" I retorted. remembering how the tears flowed, when his mom, made me try it on. It looks simple, but it's extremely sexy when worn.
He raised his eyebrows and looks at me, "let me see and be the judge" he says.
Logan helped me put the night gown on and then to stand up.
The towel fell as I stood up, with the soft lose fabric flowing down to my upper thigh, light as a feather.
Logan stood looking at me thoughtfully, "just the hair" he mutters.
I instinctively touched my hair.
"Jess hasn't been around, she normally helps me" I observed, frowning as I see Logan tenses up.
"Maybe she realizes that I'm back and in full control" he retorts with a tinge of anger.
"Did something happen?" I ask softly.
With a soft smile, he kisses my head, "no nothing happened," he said, "yet" he added, under his breath, but I still heard him. I realize he wasn't going to pull me in the loop until he's good and ready.
I need to speak to Justin.
"Can you pass me a brush please?" I requested.
I yanked my hair holder off as Logan went to get me a brush, which he didn't give to me. Instead, he went to kneel behind me on the bed and started to gently brush my hair.
Are men always this considerate, I thought.
"I don't know about all men, but I know a gem when I see one, and I'll protect it with my life" Logan softly whispers in my ear.
Darn, "I said that didn't I?" I asked, embarrass.
Chuckling, "yeah, you did" he says.
When he was finished with my hair, which he insisted that I leave open, he lifted me bridal style and took me to the table where the food was laid out.
Logan went to wash his hands, while I started dishing out a bit of all the sides that I know Logan eats.
Logan pulled a chair opposite me to help but I stop him, "you've been doing things for me since your return. Let me" I told him, he poured a glass of nonalcoholic chilled wine for us.
"Wait" he said as I picked up my fork. He reached out and held, both my hands. 'I haven't done this since I left Michaels, but let me try," he laughs nervously.
Logan closed his eyes, while I kept mines open, observing his trembling lips, "God, I know that I haven't spoken out loud to you much, but.... I uh... I'm here not for me, but for my wife. I can't remember if I said it, yet, but I want to say..." he paused, taking a deep breath. "Thank you! Thank you, for keeping Jamie safe." he finishes, opening his teary eyes, to find me staring at him.
Embarrass, he shook his head, "that's not fair, you were suppose to be praying with me" he said, lifting his glass.
"That was the most beautiful thing you've ever done for me so far" I couldn't help but tell him.
"And there's still lots more, where that came from." he chuckles, handing me my glass. Since it was cups, it didn't clink, but we did cheer on our first meal alone.
I totally enjoyed my bar-b-que steak, because since I've been home, it's only been home cooked meals.
We spoke casually, I could see that whatever Logan was thinking about, was really tormenting him.
When we were finished, Logan pulled a garbage bag out and started dumping the used cups and plates, leaving the untouched food in containers, cleaning up the table.
Logan took me to the bathroom, where we both washed up. I remained in the bed as he went to dispose of the garbage.
While I sat with the TV remote in hand, looking for a movie to watch, the door opened and as I looked up, I was automatically happy to see my sister walk in.
*Jess" I opened both my arms out to her, but she hesitated, before coming to hug me, halfheartedly.
"You okay?" I ask, searching her face for any sign of a problem.
She pulled away roughly, causing me to jerk my back, which instantly increase my pain.
"Jess" I wince, looking at her. For a moment I see a cold hard look pass in her eyes, before she came back closer, with a softer look.
"I'm sorry Jamie, I.. I.. don't know what came over me. I'm sorry" she said dryly.
"What the f**k happen here?" I heard Logan shout, coming over to me, pushing Jess aside.
"I'm sorry Logan, I tried to help her to the bathroom, and she moved to fass and well.." she finishes, staring at Logan with an expression, I couldn't comprehend while I'm in pain.
Logan is so angry..What's going on? Why did Jess lie?
