A thick mist of silence was hovering over Jae-Hyun's office as he stared at the test results in his hands with a deep frown on his face. Dissappointment, fear, pity and worry were the mixed emotions he was feeling at the moment.
Lifting his face up, he looked at the elegant woman who didn't look like she owned this test result with so much pity in his eyes. This woman is his best friend's mother -Mrs Lee.
"Jae-Hyun tell me what's wrong" Mrs Lee asked as she sat up straight on her seat. The worry in Jae-Hyun's eyes were evident to her, and she knew it doesn't mean well.
"Come on tell me what it is. The drugs aren't working right?" She urged as she shifted uncomfortably in her chair.
"I'm afraid yes" Jae-Hyun said in a low voice as he glanced at her. A heavy kind of feeling swept through his heart at the word 'Yes'. This was a cruel fate to someone like her.
