Chapter 6 - 005

Ana opened her eyes and looked upon the scene in shock. The events of the night before played in her head causing her to mentally curse herself. She grabbed her phone checking the time, it was 2:30 in the morning. She quickly called Stiles, knowing she was going to need help.

"Ana! Is that you? Are you okay?" His words were rushed.

"Um, yeah it's me. I uh I'm going to need your help. Maybe Scott's too." She said, her voice quiet.

"Yeah, we are both in the Jeep, we've been driving around looking for you. Where are you?" Stiles asked relieved.

"I'm at the blood bank. I uh, it's a mess. Please hurry!" She told him. Stiles' eyes widened.

"We are about 3 minutes away okay, try to stay calm. We are on our way." Stiles looked to Scott as Ana hung up. Scott had obviously been listening and shared the same expression.

"I should have never brought her near the bus." Scott smacked himself.

"Yeah well you weren't thinking and I'm not entirely blaming you, and now she is at the blood bank which also means she's now drank human. We have no idea what that means for her or how she is going to handle the hunger anymore." Stiles ranted.

"Let's just focus on getting her out and taking care of the mess." Scott said shortly before they arrived. They arrived at the hospital, sneaking in. The wandered through the halls for a few minutes when they finally found her. Stiles let out a gasp. There were probably 25 blood bags all emptied on the floor. Ana's clothes had been coated in blood and her fourth was a dark red. There was blood smeared all over the floors.

"I-I lost control. I don't know what to do." Ana starting crying as she frantically looked around.

"Hey, hey Ana. It's okay. We are going to clean this up. You will be okay." Scott said, placing his hand on her shoulder. "I am going to get some rags and some bleach and we can clean this all up." Scott then left the room Ana looked over noticing Stiles seeming to be nervous about approaching her.

"Stiles, please don't be scared. Please just trust me. I am in total control. I mean look there is perfectly good human blood all over the floor and my fangs aren't even out. Please just trust me." Ana pleaded. Stiles nodded, he looked and even he could smell the blood. It was so overwhelming yet she was in total control. He walked towards her, nervously before slowly giving her a hug. As he held her, Ana started to cry.

"I don't ever want you to fear me like that. I-I'm so sorry. I wish I had been stronger." She cried, her forehead resting on his shoulder. Stiles relaxed. She was this close to his neck and she hadn't even tried to take a bite.

"It's not your fault. You probably have never been around that much blood that wasn't in a body. It wasn't your fault." Stiles reassured the poor girl.

"I just, I let my dad down. He always wanted me to stay away from drinking human blood. He always said that the guilt conscience would hurt me more than the hunger from drinking animal blood. He was right, as always. According to him, he used to be a horrible person but that was what he was raised to believe was right. They all would drain humans all the time and were just... they were always hungry. They had someone who would go and take a few people a day and my father and his family would feast on them. It was like that for centuries. That is until someone had grabbed my mother. She had just turned 18 and when he laid his eyes on her he thought she was truly beautiful. He snuck her away and hid her in a cabin far away. She was safe from his family there. He then learned how to control the cravings while only drinking animal blood. They were together for only 3 years before I came into the picture. He learned how not to be a truly evil creature and to have compassion for other living things. I have always wanted to be who he thought I was but I guess I never will now." Ana sobbed harder into Stiles, holding onto him as if her life depended on it. Scott walked in, his heart breaking at the sight.

"I'm sorry to break apart this moment but we need to clean this all up and fast." Scott said, handing them each a cloth dunked in the bleach filled bucket. They all quickly scrubbed the linoleum floors. It took maybe at most twenty minutes before they had finished cleaning the mess.

"Ana, I think it would be smart if you were to take some more bags, you know? Cause now that you've had human it'll probably be harder to control the urges when your hungry." Stiles said. She nodded. She found a bag that read patient belongings and quickly put around 10-15 bags into it. She twisted it right before the group then snuck out of the hospital. They quickly got into Stiles' Jeep.

"Now hurry and get me home so this blood doesn't go bad." She ordered. Stiles nodded, stepping on the gas. He drove quickly to her home. She smiled as they arrived.

"Will you be okay?" Scott asked.

"Yeah my mom is supposed to be coming home later today."Ana replied. She climbed in through the open window from when she had first left. She brought her bags to the fridge, pulling out the jug that was empty. She emptied each bag into it before searching through the cabinets for the powered that Deaton had made that kept the blood all nice and fresh. She found the powder, pouring two spoonfuls into the jug before stirring it. She put the lid on the jug, placing it into the fridge. Ana then quickly washed all the dishes, hiding the evidence of what she had done. She then went upstairs and had her clothes soak, to try and get the blood out. Ana then turned on the shower. She quickly got into it, just standing in the steaming hot water. She scrubbed as hard as she could, trying to erase the guilt she felt. She turned the shower off after noticing all the blood had been washed away. She quickly got out and dried her body off. She threw on pjs and jumped into bed. Not even a minute after she laid her head down on her pillow, she was asleep.

She awoke to the blaring sound of her alarm. Opening her eyes to see the sunlight weeping into her room. Ana rose out of bed, throwing in some random clothes. She then went to put on her converse before realizing they were still bloody. She grabbed her less and tossed them on. She continued her morning routine except she added a small amount of human blood to the animal blood in her water bottle. It was odd though, she wasn't even really hungry. Usually in the mornings she would have a full ache, but she knew that human blood was just that fulfilling. She walked outside, awaiting Stiles' arrival. Around 10 minutes later, the blue Jeep arrived. She smiled at the teen boy. Ana jumped into the car with much more energy than usual. Stiles laughed at her enthusiasm.

"Shall we play the usual?" He asked with a smirk.

"Hell yeah!" Ana responded. Stiles quickly hooked up his iPod, playing their special playlist of My Chemical Romance. Once they arrived at school, they met up with Scott, him informing her of the plan for the triple date. Throughout the day, Ana noticed Scott and stiles keeping an eye on her. The day went by fast. On the ride home Ana's phone rang. She looked down seeing her mother was calling, Ana quickly answered.

"Hey Mama." Ana smiled.

"Hi baby, I needed to let you know that I probably won't be home for a few more days. The opening of the store has had to be pushed back. We are having anything and everything go wrong." Her mother said.

"No, I get it Mama. It's okay. There's nothing you can do about it." Ana responded. Stiles glanced over concerned.

"A, I'm so sorry. I'll be home in a few days if everything works out, okay? Alright, I have to go. Love you baby!" He mom said. Ana responded with an I love you too before her mom hung up.

"Hey Stiles, um can you help me with something?" Ana asked, looking at him.

"Um, yeah. What is it?" Stiles was slightly uneasy. It could be absolutely anything and he didn't fully trust her after last night.

"Can you help me get ready for tonight. I was going to have my mom but she won't be home." Ana looked at him with pleading eyes.

"Yeah, I guess I can. I don't know how much help I'll really be." Stiles said, pulling into the driveway.  They ran inside, Stiles following her lead.

"You go and sit on the bed. I'm going to get dressed in my closet and then I'll show you the outfit." Ana smiled. Each time she walked out, Stiles would say he loved the outfit but there was always something he would mention about them.

"You want to be casual but nice. Remember, it's only bowling not going out for dinner." Stiles remarked at the fourth outfit. Ana started laughing hard. She turned around and walked into the closet again. She grabbed another outfit, quickly putting it on. Ana opened the door nervous for Stiles feedback.

"That's the one!" Stiles pointed at her. Anastasia smiled him.

"Now it is time for hair and make up." Ana said, closing her closet door. She quickly grabbed Stiles's hand, pulling him into the bathroom. She pulled out all the stuff she would need, placing it on the counter. Stiles then hopped up on the counter right beside the makeup.

"So are you doing hair or make up first?" Stiles asked.

"Hair, I can get it out of my face. Then I'm just going to some light make up." Ana explained. Stiles nodded. Ana grabbed four hair ties, putting two on each wrist. She separated her hair in half, typing a hair tie around her left side before flipping her head upside down. She French braided her hair, stopping it at the top of her head. She then took one of the hair ties and wrapped it around the upside down braid. She then used the other to crate a bun on the right side of her head. She repeated these actions on the rest of her hair. She then pulled some stray hairs out around her face.

"Do you like the hair?" Ana asked Stiles.

"Yeah, it's cool. I mean it looks kinda complicated but cool." He remarked. Ana then started applying light eyeshadow. She put on some BB cream and powder. She put on some mascara and a neutral lipstick. She turned her head over to Stiles smiling.

"Look at you, you look great! Now, I have to go and you have fun with Mae." Stiles said, wiggling his eyebrows as he mentioned Mae's name. Ana rolled her eyes.

"Be safe, and call me or Scott if anything happens."Ana called it before hearing the door shut. Ana went and grabbed one of the plenty of doctors notes that stated she needed her special drink in case the bowling alley tried to argue with her. She put her water bottle, the note, and a fifty in a bag, waiting for Scott to pick her up.

-

"Hey, I- uh... you look amazing." Mae smiled at her girlfriend.

"You're not so bad yourself." Ana responded, blushing at Mae's precious comment. Ana reaches out, taking Mae's hand before entering the building, following the others. The two girls were happy and constantly sharing very flirtatious looks until they noticed a group of older couples who started whispering and staring at them. They quickly pulled their hands apart. Looking anywhere but each other. They were pulled out of their thoughts when the man at the counter asked for their shoe sizes.

"5." Mae answered quickly, just wanting to go and sit down with everyone else. The man placed her shoes down on the counter.

"7 1/2." Ana told the man. He grabbed another pair of shoes, placing them in front of Ana. The two walked over to where the other two couples were and put on their bowling shoes. Then everyone got up to get their bowling balls. Ana went for a blue ball. With her strength, even with it played low, it was always better to get the heaviest ball. Ana set hers down, awaiting everyone else to get theirs. They all sat and watched each other go. Lydia has gone up, having Jackson help her. She only got two pins down and Jackson's sigh could be hear from where the group was sitting.

"I'm so bad at this." Lydia muttered in annoyance. Then it was Allison's turn. She went up on her own, taking a moment to breathe before getting a strike. The group cheered her on.

"Somebody brought their A game." Lydia smiled at her friend.

"Good job." Scott complimented Allison, giving her a high five. Then it was Jackson's turn. He then got a strike just as Allison had done before. Lydia cheered him on and most of the group was quiet, they didn't really like Jackson all that much.

"You're up, McCall." Jackson said, annoyance evident in his voice. Ana rolled her eyes at the teenager.

"You can do it, Scott." Allison said, noticing he was nervous. Scott reluctantly got up, grabbing his green ball. Ana watched, leaning forward with her covering her mouth. He almost immediately got a gutter ball which started Jackson right up.

"Jackson?" Allison started clearly annoyed.

"Mind shutting up?" Anastasia finished, rolling her eyes. Due to drinking human, all her emotions had been heightened which also meant she got angrier much faster.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm just flashing back to the words 'I'm a great bowler'." Jackson said, laughing at Scott.

"Maybe he just needs a little warm-up." Allison defended him.

"Yeah, maybe he just needs the kiddy bumpers." Jackson joked. Ana's anger rose, causing her to let out a sound that was almost like a quiet growl. Scott looked over to her, whispering.

"It's okay, you need to calm down." He was so quiet that the three who were arguing hadn't even noticed Scott said anything. Ana calmed down, nodding at Scott. The two hadn't noticed that Mae had caught the interaction and the growl that came from her girlfriends lips. Mae knew something was off but also knew she shouldn't pry because she too had her own secrets.

"Just... Just aim for the middle." Allison tried helping Scott.

"How about you aim for anything except for the gutter?" Jackson teased. Ana clenched her fist before taking deep breaths and calming down again. Mae quickly held Ana's hand, hoping to help her relax.

"Let him concentrate." Allison said, clearly annoyed with how two of her friends were acting. They all watched as Scott almost hit some pins before at the last second it went into the gutter.

"Oh! Oh, great job, McCall." Jackson remarked laughing. "Man, you are a pro." Now it was  Ana's turn. She stood up grabbing the other dark blue ball. Jackson and Lydia seemed confused as to why Ana would have the heaviest ball. Jackson was the only other one with the dark blue ball and it was way to heavy for the most of the group to hold. They all brushed it off, watching as Ana took only a second to aim before tossing the ball. It went a little faster than the other bowling balls but resulted in a strike. Ana smirked it was one of the many perks of having vampire enhances vision. Mae went up, and grabbed her light blue ball. She took a few seconds to aim and when the ball looked like it was almost going to go straight into the gutter it was almost like it hit a wall and then went and knocked 5 pins down. She then repeated the action after getting her ball from the ball return. It was a perk of her many powers. Mae and Ana talked a little bit before they noticed it was Scott's turn. They watched him nervously fiddle with the green ball. Allison got up to go and help. Ana wasn't sure of what she was going to say so she tried not to listen.

"Think about me." Ana heard Allison whisper. Allison turned to walk away, causing Ana to relax thinking it was safe before Allison turned back quickly to finish her statement. "Naked." Allison whispered. Ana's eyes widened, she put her hand over her mouth again, leaning forward. Ana watched Scott's ball have almost the same speed yet the same accuracy as hers. The three girls laughed and cheered on Scott.

"That's my boy." Ana cheered.

"What did you say to him?" Lydia asked, completely lost.

"I just gave him something to think about." Allison replies cheekily. Ana stifled a laugh. Scott looked over at her with a look on his face asking if she had heard. Ana nodded before giving him a sheepish look and standing up to get her ball.

"I heard it all, Scott. You nasty man." Ana whispered standing at the edge of the lane before tossing the ball and getting a perfect strike again. The group continued bowling. Ana occasionally going up and helping Mae. Scott was getting strikes the whole time, just like Ana.

"That is seriously amazing." Allison said after Scott got yet another strike. "Jackson, how many strikes is that?"

"It's six." Jackson said reluctantly. Ana, Allison and Mae all gave a small laugh at his annoyance. "In a row." The two girls got up and took their turns before Scott continued the conversation.

"Something just clicked, I guess." Scott tried to cover up.

"Maybe it's natural talent." Allison smiled.

"I could use some natural talent. You mind helping me out this time, Scott?" Lydia asked. Almost as an attempt to flirt with him right in front of the whole group.

"No, you're good. Go for it." Scott replied, clearly uninterested.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence." Lydia said, clearly disappointed that Scott wasn't interested.

"Hey, I'll help." Jackson tried.

"How about I just try this on my own?" Lydia said causing everyone to roll their eyes. Lydia then got a strike, letting go of the whole damsel in distress act.

"I think I'm getting the hang of it." She teased.

"That was sort of perfect form." Allison said, caught completely off guard. Lydia then realized she was letting go of the act and put her walls right back up.

"Was it?" She asked once again pretending to be dumb. Allison leaned forward.

"Maybe you should stop pretending to suck just for his benefit." Allison tried to tell her.

"Trust me, I do plenty of sucking just for his benefit." She said, almost as if it was a completion. Allison backed away slightly lost on what Lydia was playing at. Soon, they finished their game. Ana sat there with Mae. They quickly changed their shoes and dropped them off at the counter. They then stood a little bit away from the rest of the group.

"Hey do you maybe... I don't know want to just come over to my place sometime and have a movie night or something?" Ana asked hold both of the other girls' hands.

"Of course. I would love it and I just... can we be official? I know we don't have to go and let everyone know but I want to be sure when I say you are my girlfriend, even if it's just to myself." Mae smiled at the taller girl, staring deep into her eyes.

"I would love to be your official girlfriend. I think I'm going to tell my mom soon, and after that I think I'll be ready to be public but it is all up to you." Ana spoke quietly before kissing Mae on the cheek.

"Hey, it's time to go." Scott came over telling Ana. Ana nodded, wrapping her arms around the smaller girl.

"I'll see you soon darling. Text me once you're home." Ana said before pulling away. Mae watched the curly haired girl walk away until she ran up, stopping Ana and placing a kiss on her cheek.

"I'll text you soon." Mae said before heading after Lydia. Allison and Scott got into the car, Ana getting in the back. The ride to allusions house was slightly awkward. Allison was trying to get to know Ana more but there was only so much Ana could say before she would become silent. Once Scott got back in the car, Ana was in the passenger seat.

"Hey uh, can I stay with you tonight. I don't know if I can handle being alone again." Ana asked the werewolf. He nodded.

"Of course, you know my mom loves you." Scott smiled. The rest of the way home, they talked about completely random things. Scott and Ana quickly tried to sneak in once they heard screaming. They both ran up to see stiles on the bed while Melissa was holding a baseball bat.

"God, do either of you play baseball." Stiles remarked. Scott turned on the light to his room causing their eyes to turn to the other two teens.

"Can you please tell your friend to use the front door?" Melissa asked Scott, clearly ready to beat Stiles.

"But we lock the front door. He wouldn't be able to get in." Scott replied.

"Yeah, exactly." Melissa looked at her son, completely done. "And, by the way, do either of you care that there's a police enforced curfew?"

"No." All three responded.

"No. All right then. Well, you know what? That's about enough parenting for me for one night, so good night." Melissa turned to walk out before turning back and looking at Ana. "Oh and Ana, I just need you to know that if you need anything I am here. I know your mother is gone a lot so if you need dinner or anything you let me know, okay?" Ana nodded.

"Yes, I know. Thank you." Ana said giving her a hug.

"Goodnight." All three teens said as she left the room.

"What?" Scott asked after stiles let out a sigh.

"My dad left for the hospital 15 minutes ago. It's the bus driver. They said he succumbed to his wounds." Stiles told Scott. Ana rubbed Scotts upper back hoping he wouldn't freak out or blame himself in some way.

"Succumbed?" Scott asked in disbelief.

"Scott, he's dead." Stiles said nervously. Just like that, Scott was gone again. Ana sighed. She took off her shoes and cardigan and climbed into the right side of Scott's bed.

"What are you doing? Aren't we gonna go after Scott?" Stiles asked.

"No, he's fine and I'm tired." Ana said before drifting off to sleep.
