Alesha just looked at his father in disbelief. How could he decide something related to her without revealing it first? Especially when she had another wish that she desperately wanted his father to agree with.
"But Daddy, it is not fair..! I don't want to go to England, I want to go to Egypt, to continue my study there. Why didn't you ask me about your plan? You decided something important related to me no matter whether I agree or not. You are selfish." She said with tears.
Mr. Irwan could only stare at Alesha regretfully, he had expected to get this response. He knew about his daughter's dream, he was aware of her motivation to continue learning the language because of her aspirations. However, due to conditions that force him, Mr. Irwan could not fulfill his beloved daughter's wish.
Without waiting for her father's answer, Alesha ran out to her room sobbing and immediately slammed the door then threw herself onto the bed and crying.
Meanwhile, her mother could only comfort Alesha while trying to explain her father's intentions so she could understand.
A week had passed since that day, Alesha had never smiled anymore. A cheerful and sweet face was never seen on her face. Her cute face had turned dark and gloomy, even though all her friends had tried to cheer her up, they could not make her smile.
Her heartfelt empty and hopeless. Her enthusiasm was gone, Alesha only could accept her father's decision who still wanted her to go to England, and waited patiently for her departure.
After being lost in her grief for two weeks, Alesha had started to organize her heart and feeling. Especially with the support of her mother and her friends, she slowly got used to it. Their support made her even more accepting of reality.
She realized that as a child who was the only hope, she was instructed not to be selfish. She must understand that all of this just for her good. Her parents did ask her to do it only for her family. For that reason, she could bury all dreams she had. This was for the sake of the parents she loved so much.
"Are you ready, dear?" asked her mother as she opened the door's room, sitting next to Alesha. Her gentle smile warmed Alesha's heart, she smiled back.
"Yes Mama, can't you come along? I don't think I can pass a day without you." She whined, hoping for a little miracle. A tiny hope for going to Egypt, She also really could not leave her mother. Unfortunately, the miracle she hoped would never appear after hearing her mother's words.
"No baby, I can't do it. Who will accompany your father here, taking care of all his needs? You need to learn to be independent, be a strong one. You won't be alone there anyway, because your uncle and his wife will keep watch on you, so there is nothing to worry about." Her mother's explained.
Alesha only nodded weakly as she hugged her mother, knowing that there would be no other way out for her. This was her destiny and she couldn't help but accept it. 'My fate is so miserable.' She whimpered to herself. Both then came out of the room where Mr. Irwan was. Seeing the two women he loved approaching him, he smiled.
"Close to me, darling. I want to hug my beloved daughter before leaving." Said Mr. Irwan while hugging Alesha warmly.
"Remember Alesha, what I'm doing is solely for the good of our family. You have to study well so you can replace me someday. You are my only hope, understand honey?" Mr.Irwan stared closely at his daughter's face, he was so sure of this decision. He believed Alesha would succeed.
Alesha could only nod as she kept hugging her father. Tears flowed as she thought of leaving her parents and living alone in a strange country.
Noticing her daughter crying, Mrs.Yuni distracted Alesha by reminding her that her departure from the airport was soon. After being satisfied to vent their feelings, the three of them finally headed for the car that had been waiting for them in front of the main door. A moment later, the car drove to the airport.
After saying goodbye to his parents, Alesha entered the waiting room and boarded the flight. She never even thought that she was going to England, she only wanted to go to Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Turkey, and Egypt.
Those countries amazed her with the various kinds of beauty in them. Not to mention because those countries were the emergence of Islam first time.
Alesha was even more eager to explore the cultures. However, the harsh reality forced her to be on a plane that would take her to a place she didn't want at all. Not even in her dream. Her deranged mind made her eyes heavy and then she was in her dream.
The sound of a notification from the pilot signal that the plane was about to land. Alesha woke up, her big round eyes bounced around a few times while recalling where she was.
A flight attendant approached her with a friendly smile, reminding Alesha that the plane was about to land, sending her to her sense that she was on a plane bound for London.
She wanted to fall back asleep and hoped that this was just a dream, but when she felt the plane was driving on hard land, the girl realized that what she had to do was prepare herself and mentally to face everything that would happen in this country.
When the doors opened, she could only smile and say, "Welcome me London..! She exclaimed as she exited the plane with renewed hope.
