Your's Truly,
The Teller
*Bam!!*
A fast-moving, echoing shot, escaped the end of the sniper's muzzle. The bone-chilling sound drew the bystanders attention; their eyes were met with a beaming light from a specific rooftop. And as expected, the civilians began to book it, far away from the danger they knew was about to occur. Seemingly like a comet, the bullet raced towards Aimer and his group.
Aimer looked back to his left where he saw an horrifying look on both Aurora and the chauffeur face as they stared at the incoming bullet.
'Crap! Aurora'
Acting solely on adrenaline and instinct, Aimer dropped his bag before finally making attempt to break free from his fear.
Skill [Fade] has been activated!
In a blur, Aimer managed to grab both Aurora and the chauffeur by the waist, taking them out of harms way.
KABOOMM!!
{SCREAMS!}
A massive explosion exploded the their vehicle and the few things surrounding it. Bystanders count help but scream in terror as they ran for their lives, hoping not get targeted.
"Oh god,"
Aurora covered her mouth, with her gaze locked onto the sniper realizing that they were about to fire again.
"Wait here,"
Aimer patted her head in hopes of soothing her fear. Though Aimer hadn't realized, it did. For a brief moment, Aurora felt this protective energy excreting from Aimer.
Skill [Fade] has been activated!
One could say Aimer became a blur or a flash as the chauffeur vigorously rubbed his eyes trying decide which of the two he was. And soon, that flash instantly appeared at the location pf the sniper.
"…..!"
Item [Soul-shard] has been activated!
"Don't move,"
Now standing atop a roof, behind the sniper, far from the explosion was Aimer with his pitch-black knife placed against the snipers neck.
'What…? When did….?"
The sniper who wore a black and gold mask, eyes shot wide open when he felt the cold bled pressed against his neck.
'Even the slightest movement and he'll most likely cut me down'
The sniper unintentionally swallowed a large ball of spit.
"State your name."
Aimer shot a cold, wicked gaze at the back of the snipers head. And the sniper himself would say he felt as if he were now the prey.
{sniper sighs}
'This is not gonna' go smoothly'
"….!!"
*swoosh*
At an unforeseen speed, the sniper slipped a knife from within his sleeve into his left hand before swinging around full force to slash at Aimer. But the quick-witted Aimer smacked the wrist of the sniper causing his knife to drop before grasping the back of his head to slam it against the edge of the rooftop in front of him.
"Neat trick, but your speed was a little bit off,"
Aimer whispered into the sniper ears.
"Tch! You think so?"
immediately, Aimer realized that the knife on the floor began to make a ticking sound.
'Crap! Its a bomb'
BOOOM!!
The knife created a smokey explosion which Aimer managed to evade. However, as the smoke dispersed he realized that the sniper had vanished.
'….!!'
'He used that little confusion created from the explosion to escape…brilliant! However, I can't let them escape that easily,'
Aimer slightly smirked behind his mask. Then suddenly took a knee.
'I don't think they've gotta too far so this should work'
Item [Sharkanha's Mark] is in use.
Upon closing his eyes, Aimer used his Sharkanha long-range navigational abilities, ultimately allowing him to pick up on he scent of blood.
'Found ya!'
Skill [Fade] has been activated!
Aimer vanished from his spot towards the direction of the fleeing perpetrator.
'Back when my knife was held against their neck, I suppose it was so sharp that I accidentally cut them'
Aimer suddenly had a flashback to that moment.
In the meantime…
'Shit! Shit! Shit! I heard he was strong but isn't this too much? Was I misinformed by the higher-ups'
The sniper on the run was in a slightly panicked state after witnessing, first-hand, the combat skills of The Solo Harvester. During their frantic flee something happened, something unexpected. Their paranoia of being followed became a reality.
"Hey...,"
"….!!!"
A voice, which the sniper was now familiar which echoed a few inches away within his left ear. The sniper eyes shot opened wide, swiftly turning their head towards the direction of the voice. The sniper was met eye-to-eye with a figure depicted to be Aimer.
'What? How in th-'
Before the sniper could comprehend the immaculate speed at which he was caught, a massive blow struck them behind the neck.
*Wapow!*
*KUEKk!*
The sniper eyes rolled back signifying they almost passed out. 'Was…was that a truck?' As the sniper fell from mid-air, they were confused if what hit them was even human.
*DOOM!*
And just like that, the sniper plummeted onto the canvas of a dark alley way between two towering building. *coughs* *coughs* The sniper opens eyes.
*groans* 'I, I survived' The sniper thought, struggling to uplift himself, soon a shadow grew larger and larger on the ground before him, when the sniper turned to look up: there stood Aimer.
"Who are you?" Aimer's first words gave the sniper a discomfiting jolt all over his body, however, his lips were tightly sealed.
"So you won't speak, ok, this is what we're gonna do (Item in use: Judgment Idol) I'm gonna ask again, this time don't disappoint me, now who sent you?" With the Judgment Idol in one hand, all that was left was for the sniper to tell the truth and even it he didn't Aimer's item wouldn't let him down.
The sniper became frantic, curious as to what Aimer was tossing around in his hand, he then muffled up the strength, "Heh, you think I'll tell you anything?" Aimer couldn't help but scoff, "Oh, but I think you will" Offscreen Aimer did something so horrible that the sniper gave in.
"So, answer me." The sniper blurted out, "It was the Society… they sent me." Aimer's Judgment Idol lit up the second the sniper answered: he was telling the truth. "Still, I need to send a message" Aimer took out his dagger Iblis and severed the snipers head in the most ruthless and savage way, from actually hacking into the snipers neck, sawing bone for bone. Bloodied hands, Aimer took out a phone and made a call, "Hey, Nobara… I need you to do something for me."
EXT. LOUDO'S GUILD (N)
We see Aimer getting dressed in the room beside his office, he was nearly fully dressed when Aurora walked in, "Wow, you look good." Aimer turnt to Aurora with which she sees as a cocky smile, "I know." Momentarily after Nobara entered the scene informing Aimer his ride awaits outside. "Then shall we," Aimer, Nobara and Aurora quickly made it to main floor, there was a black SUV waiting outside for their departure. "After you sir," Aimer was the first to enter then Aurora and lastly Nobara. Once Nobara closed the doors behind him the driver left the area.
On their way to the Conference Aimer mentioned to Nobara, "Did you get a look at the guest list?" Where Nobara stated, "Practically every Guild Leader is attending among with two guild representatives." Aimer, he thought to himself for a bit then leaned in, "So that'd be Aurora and you."
Nobara shook his head, continuing, "Apparently it's being held by the CC in relevance to your latest accomplishments; they're gonna use this to their advantage to make the announcement."
Aimer was a bit wide track looking at the system's countdown when he said, "Yeah, I know that much. How about the Guild Leaders, how many do you think will attend?"
The question raised caught Nobara by suprise, but he then said, "Ah, the Conference is mandatory." Aimer arched an eyebrow, "So even if I wanted to." "Exactly, all Guild Leaders are required to attend these events." Here Aimer, from his peripheral vision noticed a slight change in Aurora's expression, "Aurora, something wrong?" Aurora budged here and there before muffling up the courage to say, "It's my father, the host of the whole thing is my father."
Upon hearing this Aimer didn't know whether to respond or not and instead went with, "Well, please do let me know when you see him." Something told Aimer not to dog any deeper than that, he believed in due time 'that' story will unravel. "*clears throat* would you look at that, we're here," Nobara thought to change the subject; Aimer gave him that look.
EXT. SUNDAM's CAPITAL, Offshores Private Residence (N)
The group exited the car; Aimer remind them to walk with confidence because everyone here will be looking down on us. He then added to comfort, "But with me by your side things will go a whole lot different."
Surprisingly the Conference was being held at a private mansion in the capital of Sundam City, from the beautiful landscape to the building's architectural structure: was something to behold. The group made their way the ballrooms entrance and we're permitted entry by two hunting guards that stood outside. Immediately after pushing open that large, antique, wooden door, the Loudo's Guild entrance caused quite the commotion. Particularly Aimer, all the Guild Leaders must've felt it by now, that dense, dark, malevolent aura.
"Um, master, don't you think something's wrong?" Nobara was hoping for Aimer to catch on after saying this which he did. "Oh, lemme take care of that *swoosh!*" Aimer dissipated his mana that was 'unknowingly seeping' now cleverly hiding it under his suit. Due to Aimer seemingly reckless behavior, he and his Guild quickly became the talk of the night. Guild Leaders such as Bijoux (from the Mente Rosa Guild) and Icabob (from the Oors Origin Guild) saw Aimer as quite the spectacle, felt the need to oversee his growth. On the other hand, Guild Leaders Lorenzo (from the Crosse De Stake also Louis's Father) and Norton (from the Feynus Doctrines) found Aimer otherwise as a threat, though it was just for split second that they felt it, they could easily decipher that Aimer was, and in fact, the 13th Sky-Dweller.
At this point, host of the Guild Conference, Hiram Butler would make would make an appearance at the podium, "Ladies and gents, guild leader and representatives, I'd like to draw your attention to this side of the room and let us give a toast to an extraordinary guest (Hiram held his cup high) you there sir, who go by many names but today we address you as your title, to the Solo Harvester and his recent feats."
The ballroom gave a round of applause, many
were forced out of jealousy but the ones that were genuine Aimer could acknowledge, "Well don't stop because of me."
Hiram continued, "Which leads to my next announcement, particularly a big one… in the upcoming days, Lairkeeprs specialist and representatives suspects a lair-break that might mark the 'end of times.' It is in my discretion that as Guild Leaders you'll all make preparations within your guilds accordingly. Not to self, we are at war and the faith of world rests upon you hunters shoulders'. Now, remember what I said, I think it's time we raise the mood a bit."
The Guild Conference or Conference Ball continued, moments in, a fight broke out: between Marion (from the ) and Stromheart (from the Architects Guild) it seems there was a sudden argument which started as a disagreement pertaining to the Solo Harvesters' (Aimer) standings. It is Marion belief that he's just like rest of 'us' however on this matter, Stormheart disagreed describing Aimer as being different maybe even better than us and could be the 'one' to turn out great. It could be the silly comment Marion made after this that upset Stromheart, according to Marion he'll be there just to make sure that doesn't happen— you could see where the feud began.
"Would'ya look at em' go (Skill [Truth-seeker] activated)" Aimer secretly downloaded personal intel from Guild Leaders Marion and Storheart's database. "Both Sky-Dwellers…hmph" Aimer, he though came up with a great idea: to interrupt the fight. Both Nobara and Aurora tried stopping him but he clearly made up his mind when he vanished to thin air. On the other side of the ball room, we see Aimer appear on between Marion and Stormheart, "Settle down, kids (Skill [Apostle] activated)."
*snatch* *snatch*
*absorbs impact*
"Take a break," Aimer pushed back Marion and Stromheart in either side, the grab in the fist to tossing them zig-zag was wake up calm for Marion and Stormheart— to think 'he' pulled off stopping their fight truly amazed the Guild Leaders on Aimer's side but further infuriated the others. Aimer clapped his hands twice, "Chop, chop, Nobara, Aurora, let's go home, I think I just kilt the mood." Aimer walked back to Nobara and Aurora and the group made an unsatisfying exit; the guilds left in the ballroom observed all the Solo Harvester's what most would call a 'daring exit.'
Outside getting back into their ride Aimer had one final thing to say, "Nobara, Aurora, I think you know what we have to do tomorrow, for the Guild I mean. They're not ready yet, those guys in back there… if we were to get attacked right now we would stand much of a chance, the Representatives themselves is enough for that mission." Here Nobara turnt to Aimer, "Are they really that powerful?" Aimer nodded, "Too powerful," he then gave the signal to the driver to take them home.
