[I want to apology in advance, this chapter have long paragraphs in it, at first it had longer ones but I broke into smaller ones but they're still a bit long, at least I think they're still long.]
<ΓΓΓΓΓ>
A guy woke up on the couch nursing a massive headache as informations invaded his mind which made him feel like his brain would explode.
"Ugh,... talk about reincarnating in a fictional work, who get sent to a world full of flesh-eating mindless undead. Whoever sent me here is a bit of an a*shole. I'll just refer to him as 'him', not that he's important anymore." he said as he inspected the place which looked like a house but the windows were fully covered, but he at least had some resources to help him survive.
Logan Barrett is his name, and he is a reincarnated person who got sent into a Zombie Apocalyptic world that he unfortunately don't know anything about, other than it was a fictional work in his world named 'The Walking Dead', Logan was forced to this new life by something or someone unknown to him, but whoever or whatever it was at least offered him some boons to help in his survival.
"Let's check what I got so far, something about the physical capabilities of a SS? a strong and fast body is important to increase my chances of survival here, I will need to fight and sometimes run, some fights cannot be fought after all, and of course resource which includes food for sustenance, weapons for defense, and many other things.'' As he went through everything that was mentioned to him in detail, no matter how small and useless they seem, everything is of use, you learn to be patient and pay attention to everything around you when you serve in the Military and Marines for more than 20 years.
[SS means Super Soldier btw]
Logan began moving around the house to get familiar with its layout. It was a simple house consisting of two floors, small fenced ground, and of course a Garage with a Van which would be useful. The kitchen has enough food for a little over a week. There is a living room, a bathroom, a room which serves to keep the things he will need to survive outside.
Canned Food, Weapons, and Medicines, handguns, a sniper rifle, assault rifles, some sub-machine guns, a large bag filled with mags and ammo for all the firearms, several machetes and tactical knives, a bow, a piles of 100 arrows stacked together for the bow, some flashlights, some ropes, two shovels, a big tool kit, different axes, and his favorite. A Kopis Sword, similar to the one he owned previously, as for meds? basically things that are used to treat wounds and some meds for fever, and various common maladies, antibioticsβ¦
After I went through everything I found that most of those things were related to skills that have been gifted to me, in some cases enhanced would be better because firearms were things I know how to use, but now I should be better at using them.
"Alright, I've checked everything I have and now it's time to see the van, which if I may add is a good choice. a survivor would need a vehicle to carry their stuff, even a bus would be a good vehicle if you have a group, at least I'm glad he allowed me to have one small request. and that gives me the ultimate weapon. Knowledge, books for various things that are essential for survival.." Logan kept on brainstorming, already taking this new life seriously, his life as a soldier with good discipline along with the newly enhanced instinct of his, his gut already ringing warning bells telling him to take things seriously.
later that day after he had some food, he down on the living room and with a pile of papers and a pen, Logan want to write down absolutely everything that would help, from things he learned from 'him', the things he know about other versions of Undeads/Zombies, general knowledge he have gathered in his old life, since he already decided to not venture anywhere for nlw other than within his protected backyard which was a bit spacious and have a long wooden fence that would obscure the sight of walkers thus making them ignore it so long as he don't make noises.
"hehe, if people would see me doing all of this, they may call me paranoid, but my life literally would always be on danger hypothetically speaking, but one thing for sure is I have to study those Walkers, after all preparations is half of the battle, and scouting your enemies would be a logical course of action." going through all the papers he filled multiple times with a frown on his face showing a bit of annoyance.
"... if half of the movies are right about something, it's that people may be more dangerous than Walkers, Zombies should be generally Mindless, but people? desperation may turn a lot of them into something dangerous, and I need to be on the lookout. The first thing I need to do is test how strong I am." Logan sighed as he leaned back on the couch.
There are a lot of things to do, and he need to take time to make his preparations, one important matter is he need companions, one may find it strange why would he think about that when he previously deemed people the most prominent danger he may face, but humans are social in nature, and not everyone would turn bad, plus since it hasn't been long time since everything went to shit there bound to be people who desire to find companions, in fact might've formed groups to survive and cover for each other, after all strength is in numbers.
Next day after Logan spent an entire restless night, how could he sleep with everything that is happening, even now he still have some thoughts deep in his mind that keep denying everything, and keep saying that it's all a dream or rather nightmare, but he is experienced and know that such thoughts although cannot be controlled most of the time, but he should not allow them to drive him. he have to take actions since doing nothing may end up having negative results. The first thing that came to his mind is to keep an eye out on the neighborhood since people may be around and of course if you don't pay attention someone may sneak up on you and practically end your life.
"Let's make some plans about what to do in my time in this safe zone, since I am under no illusion that this place will keep me safe for long, I have to pick the supplies that I have and put them on the Van.
I have to make sure everything is ready so I can move out as fast as possible, clothes, some sheets cuz I will certainly spend nights on the wilderness, good thing the Van is bulletproof, the only thing that may present problem is the tires, but I checked the Van have the best tires, the weapons should be in hidden spot but easy to access for me who know the ins and outs of my vehicle, properly set the things I should keep on myself, a belt with holster for a gun, along with two magazines, with his new sword sheathed on the waist, and a tactical knife on its back of the belt, his outfit consists of a simple jacket over a t-shirt and cargo pants, with tactical boots.
"According to my legal papers which are mostly useless now my full name is Logan 'David' Barrett, 28 years old, my father was a Military who died during duty about 3 years ago, Mother died 15 years ago in an unfortunate accident, no other relatives that matter." Logan read his papers, and also went through some of his vague memories which clearly belonged to him or rather replaced him before he got replaced by the current him.
"Who would have thought I had an eventful life? Went to Boarding Military School for 13 years when I was 7, then served in the Military for 5 years, became a hunter for two years, and a Firearms instructor. Apparently I started working at a Firearms/Gun Shop 6 months ago, but the owner went on a vacation out of the country and left me in charge since I was already his Firearms Instructor. The old me stacked some weapons in the house, and brought supplies to survive, this is overwhelming but the old me was smart enough to prepare.." Logan already brought the sniper rifle with him took it and walked closer to the window which was a one way mirror then took the rifle and start looking at the street from the scop
scouting the area was important, what IF he decided to try to venture outside but there is a large number of walkers around? Or maybe some survivors hidden in one of the neighborhood houses?? That's why he was going to scout properly before going outside, which he decided to leave until the next day.
Logan sat down to enjoy his meal in silence, with a lot in his mind.
"solitude really make one unconsciously think a lot, to the point some people may start overthinking things, I may handle it but it's clearly affecting me, but until I take my first step in this world which is to fight and see how I handle walkers, people's true nature is often realized only in extreme situations." Logan continued voicing his thoughts, getting amused as he viewed himself taking down some flesh starving mindless corpses with his cool sword, he may not admit it, but the thought of fighting and overcoming his opponents made him excited unconsciously.
