The streets of Evimore, they were just as busy as they were during the day despite it being night. People bustling around going about there own affairs, as a couple men in armor seem to be guarding a man walking through.
"The trade seemed to have gone well sir." The taller knight says to the man he seemed to be guarding.
"That indeed it did, now continue to do your jobs, and make sure to speak of nothing of what you saw today, otherwise I will have both your heads!" The man screams at the knights while slicing his finger across his neck to prove his point, only to bump into a small thirian beggar.
"Any change for the poor sir?" The beggar ask measly putting out his hand.
"I only give money to those who work for it, and never to those who don't deserve to live!" The man screams as he hits the poor beggar and then spits at him. He begins to briskly walk away until yet another beggar stops him.
"Can you give me anything? I put in the work to come to you, so can I get paid for that?" The beggar ask as he puts out his hand to the man. The knights start to get ready to attack until the man stops them with a raise of his hand.
"No need for violence yet, at least this one is human. Now what would you be asking for, and what would you do for me?" The man ask with a wicked grin. The knights start to laugh too, as the man takes off his hood to reveal a rather young, fair skinned, man, at most twenty with his eyes closed.
"All I would be asking for, is your life..."
"Huh!?" The man exclaims as both of his knights go to grab their swords only to be dropped in seconds as the man had already cut both their throats open with a dagger hidden in his cloak. "What the hell are you!" The man screams backing up in fear.
"Your end." The man says opening his eyes to reveal pure black eyes with a red hue.
"Shit, your Calamity's Eye! Please I will give you anything you want, just let me live please!" The man screams as he begins to tear up as Calamity's Eye walks closer to him.
"Arthur Resley, One of the thirty three members human members of the house of Spiti, who else are you working with?" Calamity's Eye says as he glares at him.
"I am working with Ray Donov and Rachel Huberts!" Arthur yells out in panic and fear "There I gave you the information now let me live!" Arthur yells while backing away only for Calamity's Eye to take a step forward, as Arthurs breath hitches.
"I do not recall the point where I said you could live?" Calamity's Eye says as he continues to walk towards him, dagger in hand.
"Wait!!! You cannot kill me, it will cause uproar in all of Ethnos, and Evimore. You will be hated even more than you already are! Please don't..." The man is suddenly disrupted as his head detaches itself from his body as Calamity's Eye had gladly helped him remove it. He then proceeded to fish in his pocket and call someone.
"Hey, the job is done." He says as he puts his other hand in his pocket.
"That is good, he needed to be dealt with. Did you get who else was working with him?" The person on the other side says.
"Yeah, Ray Donav and Rachel Huberts, one being another member of the House of Spiti, and the other being a major figure for peace in Ethnos, do you want them dealt with? I warn you though, this will cost you three times then." Calamity's eye ask as he looks at the bodies as they magically disappear.
"I will pay you five if you get rid of them! They slaughter my kind like animals, we deserve better than that. Please just avenge my wife, please." The man on the other side says, thru sadness and despair. Calamity's Eye sighs as he scratches the back of his head as if in thought.
"Fine, just pay me triple, I don't need anymore. I will have them eliminated by the end of the night. Then, lets meet and discuss further payments if necessary" Calamity's Eye says as he looks straight at the beggar from before, who is now cowering for his life.
"Alright then, call me when the job is done. Thank you." The man says as he hangs up. As Calamity's Eye puts away his phone he goes down on his knees in front of the beggar who was actively crying now.
"P-please d-don't kill m-me." The thirian beggar cries as he speaks through tear soaked eyes.
"How old are you?" Calamity's Eye asks in a gentle manner.
"F-fifteen. Please, I understand, I don't have much but I..." The young beggar tried pleading only to be cut off.
"Hold out your hand." Calamity's Eye demands causing the boy to cry more and close his eyes, knowing he was going to be killed. After a minute he felt something in his hand, to only open his eyes to see ten gold coins in his hand. "Should be enough to get you on your feet, it cost about 22 silver a month for rent at the apartments about a block down that way." Calamity's Eye says as he points in a direction. The boy was in shock, this man was indeed Calamity's Eye, the man who is suppose to end all things before him, saving a poor Thirian boy like him, and even letting him go.
"Sir, are you trying to trick me right now, or blackmail me?" The boy asks as his eyes start to dim as he thought more and more about why this man would give him so much money.
"A couple reasons, One, I would have felt bad had I not at least given you something. Two, I guess you could kind of say it is hush money so you don't tell anyone what I look like, okay?" Calamity's eye says as he smiles at the boy, "And three, I believe most people deserve second chances. We all make mistakes sometimes, it is just those who are more fortunate to help those who need help so that they may pass on the good will, pay it forward if you would." He says as the boy looks up at him in wonder.
"You can count on me, your secret will die with me. Thank you so much sir!" The boy screams as he dives at him to hug him only to be met with the ground.
"I don't do hugs, but I will come check on you in a couple months, just to make sure you are fine, but for now, head to this address and tell them I sent you, they should let you stay the night. Maybe also eat something to get something on that bone of yours." He says with a friendly smile as he hands the boy a card with something tavern on it. The boy returns in favor with a wide toothy smile. As they depart ways Calamity's Eye changes his clothes instantly to something more, suitable for public walking. He Walks out of the Alley to immediately have his sight drawn to something, or rather someone with very long blue hair. They both looked at each other as she scoffs and walks off. Calamity's Eye proceeds to stop and take a contact out of one of his eyes. "These things work great when I just want to walk around." He thought to himself as he puts the blue contact back into his eye. "Time to get back to work." Calamity says aloud to himself, as he walks through the roads of bustling business, filled with people, to just disappear in the herd.
About an hour later, Calamity's Eye can be seen with his contacts in with formal attire on. He walked through a couple of bouncers only to be dragged back by one.
"Hey, were you invited here sir?" One of the two large men who toward over him asked.
"Would you believe me if I told you I was running late and was invited?" Calamity's Eye says nonchalantly, as both bouncers look annoyed. One got out a battle axe while the other got out a great sword. This causes Calamity's Eye to sigh loudly, "Guess I will take that as a no." He says as he jumps out of the way of a mighty cleave that slashed into the ground by the axe user.
"You better run while you can pretty boy, otherwise someone might end up getting hurt." The large axe bouncer says as they both start laughing at Calamity's Eye.
"Too late to take your own advice?" Calamity's Eye says smirking at them, just to egg them on. This works quite well as the axe user charges at him with the sword following close behind. The bouncer swings his axe straight for his head to only be stopped as Calamity's eye raises a finger to stop him. He then proceeds to grab his arm, snap his arm by elbowing his elbow, then roundhouse kicking him straight into the ground as that knows him out. The other bouncer stops and contemplates for a bit seeing his ally fall in such a quick manner, only for Calamity's Eye to appear right in front of him. "Too late to stop now..." He says as he kicks his right leg out. "Sorry can't stick around, but don't worry, I will be gone by the time you wake up anyways." Calamity's Eye says as he kicks him across the face in a lazy manner knocking him out. "Well, since nobody is telling me no now, guess I will just let myself in." Calamity's Eye says as he shrugs his shoulders and walks through the golden gates only to see a lavish dining hall. "It's almost to fancy to be true." Calamity's Eye whispers as he looks around to see men and women alike in posh clothing suiting to the settings they were in talking of affairs he had no interest in. He walked around, greeting servants and guest alike with similar disinterest until he found a girl surrounded by men that stood out from the rest. With her long blue dress matching her long blue hair and eyes. This was the girl he ran into on the streets, He could not help but sense a substantial amount of magical energy in her, he almost felt, allured, by it. He quickly shook that off as he saw another woman, of much more importance to him right now, his target, Rachel Huberts, or better known as, his target. He stalked up his way behind her, to eventually follow her onto the balcony to hide behind a pillar.
"I know you are there, so come out and talk to me." Rachel says as she puts a hand on her hip, she smirks as her assailant comes out. "So, what's got a handsome man such as yourself stalking a pretty lady such as myself?" She asks while licking her lips slightly, causing Calamity's Eye to shift in discomfort, as he looks away.
"I just don't do well around pretty ladies." He says as he can see her closing in on him. She got to the point of hugging his arm. It was then he got a closer look to realize what she was wearing. She seemed to be wearing a red tight fitting dress purposely cut near the top and bottom to show off her dangerous assets with roses near the shoulders. "Your not really helping here you know." He says bluntly as he can see her smirk.
"Really, why won't you show me your face, are you really that scared of what people may think? Come on show me." She practically whines tugging at him.
"I meant that you were not helping yourself. Rachel." Calamity's Eye says as he turns to face her as she visibly gasps and starts to panic as she sees his eyes.
"No, there is no way that you are him. Are you really Calamity's Eye!?" She partially yells as she starts to back up, fearing for her life now as Calamity's Eye starts to close in on her.
"Why are you so panicked? Were you not just trying to pick me up not even fifteen seconds ago, or is it because you wanted to do something else?" He says as he visibly glares at her like the sun, and she were ice on a hot summer afternoon.
"I would never, I have morals to you know! I would never do anything that would bring harm to the strong human race as a upstanding member of them." She states defensively as she gains some confidence back as she manages to stand as Calamity's Eye remains unflinching.
"Then explain why all the men you end up with are: A, not humans, and most importantly B, dead?" He says as he emphasizes his question with a flare of magic towards her as she is visible stricken with fear from the sheer amount of it. "Five seconds to answer the question before I answer it for you in my own way." He says as he starts counting down. "5"
"Wait please don't do this, I have a family!" Rachel screams as she starts to cry.
"4" He says as he holds out a four to show how serious he is. Rachel is visibly shaken realizing now that he really i a man of his word. "3" He says as he starts to walk towards her. "2..." he says as he stops right in front of her. "1" he whispers as he got ready to do his job.
"Stop! It was all Ray, he forced me to seduce men of different races, specifically Thirio so he could kill him." She says as she finally broke as she starts to sob feebly on the ground.
"The you would not mind taking a test right? Put your hands in here." He says as he holds out a device that has two holes in it. She agrees and puts her hands in it. The device beeps as he takes it off and looks at it. She sighed out in relief until he glared at her. "I hate people who lie just to get others in trouble, you damn killer." He says as the device disappears in his hand as a voice comes from behind.
"You could not mind your own damn business, could you? Yeah we slaughtered those filthy animals, they were not even worth the air they breathed, nonetheless anything else." Calamity's Eye turns around to see his other target, Ray Donov, a young man who has bright orange hair and standing roughly a couple inches shorter than him. He walks over casually as a blade appears in his hand. "A shame you won't get to stick around long enough to regret it." He says as his smile turns wicked. He then sees Rachel's hands start to emanate fie and plants start to grow. "Now die!" They both simultaneously yell as plants wrap around him and they unleash a flurry of blows causing an explosion to take out the balcony they were on. As Rachel and Donov stand next to each other on the ground as everybody runs to the hole and guards come around to see what happened. "Don't worry everyone, me and Rachel saw Calamity's Death and have taken him out for the good of all people! alike!!!" Ray yells as everyone joins him in chorus as everyone continues to cheer as a news reporter runs up to them.
"How were you able to beat Calamity's Eye!?" The reporter claims excitingly as people start to search through the rubble for the body.
"Well it was..." Rachel starts to say only to be interrupted as a man screams saying he found something. Everyone looks towards the man expecting to see a scorched body part only to see a perfectly intact recorder. The man clicks the play button as it starts to play everything that Calamity's Eye had talked with them about on the balcony.
"Well how do you explain this new scandal of discrimination Mr. Donav and Ms. Huberts?" The reporter says shoving the mic in their faces as everyone now looks at them with a newfound hatred, completely opposite of what they were receiving not even a couple of minutes ago.
"It was obviously something he made to make us look bad, knowing he would lose to us." Ray says with confidence, with about a split of people believing him and those who do not. "I did everyth..."Ray shouts before being cut off by a knife through his throat, causing collective panic as screams break out and people start running. The news crew being brave sticks around and continues filming catching a man who pulled the knife out of his throat to only throw it straight through Rachel's skull and gets embedded into a wall as she falls limp on the ground. He looks at the news crew with his famous eyes, his black yet red hued eyes piercing the news crews very souls as he walks right up to them. He looks at the reporter as she falls as her knees gives out. He knells down in front of her and reaches into her pocket.
"Put out your hand." He demands as the reporter closes her eyes and waits for the inevitable only to feel something in her hand. She opens her eyes to see a camera of sorts. "That is a projector that has the audio and video of my conversation with them both. I would appreciate it if you would not show my face to everyone on tv, let that be your payment for me letting you live." He says as he turns around and jumps onto the top of the wall. "I really hope you do what I expect you to do, because In hate having to tell people things twice!" Calamity's Eye yells down to them as he disappears into the night
"I got footage of Calamity's Eye!!! I am going to be rich! I cannot wait to..." The camera man screams before being smacked by the reporter.
"Tell me, which would you prefer? A crap ton of money, or living because I know which one I prefer." She says as she looks at him with a knowing look, as the cameraman sighs to then smash his camera over his knee. "You know, you could have just deleted it, oh well. We got another really big scoop right here." She says pulling up the weird projector she had gotten from the man known as Calamity's Eye. "He was pretty cute though." She says as the cameraman looks at her like she just killed a man. "What are you jealous?" She says teasing the cameraman as he just walks away. "Hey wait, don't leave me!!! I will buy you a new camera!" She yells as she runs after him into the night.
