WHATTTTT?!?!?!?!?! I never heard such thing from anyone!
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!" Ace's voice and mine yelled in unison.
The King didn't look too surprised and was just trying to calm down sipping his tea.
"Your Majesty! I apologize for my inappropriate actions for yelling at you but... WHAT?! Where did you hear this from. Even if you are the emperor of the whole beast world, I don't recall you ever having the right to arrange another kingdom's precious daughter." I was incredibly raged.
"Cassandra. You weren't supposed to know it from me. I'm sorry for this sudden big news of shock. I am going to excuse myself now." He stood up and walked away.
Ace and I turned towards each other and gave each other glances that surprisingly we could understand. We were so....words can't even describe how shocked and raged we were. We stood still silently for a couple minutes. Then naturally we silently went to the carriage and it led us to my kingdom.
After when Ace and I said our goodbye's, I immediately ran to look for my mom to ask what this nonsense was about. I found her in her garden rocking the swing while watching the flowers and the sunset. I abruptly ran to her and eventually was in front of her. She looked so normal as if she expected me. I just had this mad gut feeling that I wished was wrong but sigh...
"Mom. Do you know about my sudden engagement with the Majestic Kingdom's crown prince Darien? Or better yet.....did you arrange this?" I was mad and upset to think what would happen if she said yes. Sure enough.
"Cassandra. Dear. Your father told me to take good care of you, you know. Didn't I meet his expectation till now? Yes. I did arrange that."
I just broke down. To be honest...I already knew that my mom didn't love my father. She didn't care about him even a bit. Now...get it? We are really known for being a playful beast. It's just upsetting to accept the truth. Sniff.
"Mom. Can you not be obvious. Why are you like this. Aren't you my mom? Don't you love me? Even a stepmom would do better." I glared at her and ran back to my horse. I heard my mom yelling in the distance behind me.
I made my horse quickly gallop to Ace's room. I sneaked inside the window and just lied on his bed until it was pitch dark and I heard the door opening. I just layed still cause I knew who it was.
"Sigh. Cass. What happened. Was it your mom?" Ace came up getting a sweet from his other room.
"You know Ace...ahhaha who knew I would marry your brother huh.(?) It's just too much that it feels like a long nightmare. You ever wonder what would happen if we got together romantically and eloped?" I asked. It was meant as a joke but I had a little part of me that was sincere.
Ace looked shocked. I just laughed and told him it was a joke. Then Ace spoke,
"Cass. You have to know I will always be with you and there FOR you. As everyone around us says. I don't mind us being together. And I just think we don't know that we actually do have the feelings that you have for the special one you know. But we'll find out."
The night was long. I actually wasn't much taken aback when he leaned to kiss me. I went along— not just a saying when you go with the flow as if you don't like it. I actually enjoyed it. It was quite hot and steamy. And there went our night.
