Chapter 8 - Chapter 7: What Will Happen?(1)

I am still wide awake even though it is still way early in the morning. Could say it's a little over midnight. After all that's happened the past hours, I could definitely say it was a lot. I'm still tired from the little excitement that happened earlier too... haha...it's embarrassing to think about it again. I felt a light bump on the side of my hand that was resting by my side. I looked over instinctively and smiled. It was Ace's hand. I grabbed his hand and looked at it from top to bottom. With my other hand's finger, I went along the lines that were in his palm from the folds. His hands were beautiful. He had big hands but had long slim fingers. His fingernails were beautifully shaped as well. As I was carefully glazing at his hands and wrapping it around my hands over and over again, I heard him wake up.

"What are you doing so early in the morning?" He chuckled then got up.

"Nothing much. Just seeing how you're literally just perfect in every little way possible."

He smiled then that smile slowly went down. "We should pack. Hurry Cass. We should leave this place." He was going across his room as quietly as he can, packing his clothes and mine (those of what I left every time I slept over(; ).

I was puzzled, " What do you mean Ace? Why do we need to do that? And why are you trying to be so quiet. This room is so sound proof. If not, then I would've been already grounded in my room by now."

"Cass...we can't live like this forever. It's better to leave early as we have our feelings still figuring out. Plus, It's better to be cautious you know."

I sighed and figured he is kind of right. When we were ready, we looked like a newly wed commoner that was getting ready to go on a hike/camp. We got got one of the curtain's silk and tied it around Ace's bed column. Then we let the other side fall off out the window. It was as if we were filming a spy movie. Then, Ace went down first and I went after him. He secured my legs to be protected just in case I slip. We landed on the ground and got on my horse that I left alone the other day. As we rode along deep into the forest that we have secretly built our "hideout" for some time, I felt a sharp pain. I looked at myself and tried to figure out what that was about, but when I didn't find anything wrong, I ignored it. I just thought it's because it was my first time last night.

We finally arrived and Ace helped me off. We went inside the treehouse and went to the room. We just sat in the bed in silence. Another problem was added. I don't know how many times I have to say this but it's honestly so true. Everything that has happened yesterday and today is happening way too fast to fully process what's going on. I saw the sun rising slowly. Ace stood up and went to get us a hot drink.

"You know, we can't hide and runaway forever. What should we do by the time the Majestic knights find us." I asked him

"I...did not think that far yet. I'll figure things out. You just worry about yourself."

We spent the next couple days resting and calming ourselves down. Ace was busy at night trying to think about a plan. Then one night he came in our room and just jumped on the bed. Our eyes met. And we did our thing we were good at. Being silent once AGAIN. Suddenly Ace just turned off our lamp and embraced me. He didn't look up and said ,"I'm sorry" and we did it.

The next morning I was too sore to walk around. I just sat up and started painting. Then every night since then we kept doing it. And every morning I continued painting. Whenever I painted, I just painted with nothing particular in mind. Just followed my hands going with the flow. I kind of saw the faces of Ace's and mine. Maybe it's just because the painting was really beautiful that I wished to be the person there. I was almost finished. There were 4 people in the painting. Two, I made the face's of Ace and mine. And the other two. I didn't finish. So for now it was the only empty white place I haven't painted. I was planning to finish the next morning when Ace told me something shocking.
