Everyone turned to look at a very angry Liam that was breathing heavily in rage. His eyes were fixated on Clover who was floating ten feet above the ground, but his rage was directed towards everyone for getting distracted from their training. He slowly marched towards the group, which quickly dissipated as everyone resumed their training, Liam would have a word with them later.
Clover never saw so much anger directed towards her before and she felt like she did something very offensive to Liam. She slowly brought Lance down before coming down herself, she felt a little light headed due to the amount of time she used her magic. When she was down, she looked once more at Liam and her heart squeezed in her chest at how he was looking at her, he must be hating her right now. Lance was the first to talk, "Listen Liam, I know you're mad but Clover was just-" But Liam cut him short " She was distracting all of you from your objective, and that can't be tolerated "
"Liam-" Claire tried to reason with him, because Clover didn't do anything wrong, she was just complying to their demands and it wasn't fair she received all the blame. Liam wasn't having it "I don't care, she should be training, not doing tricks like growing plants, you think if we're attacked her plants would be able to save us, the answer is no. " Clover's heart was beating fast and not how it beats when he usually looked at Liam, but with fear. She didn't understand why he got so mad, what was wrong with showing her abilities?
She felt her eyes starting to burn with tears, but she blinked rapidly to stop them. The others tried to speak to Liam but he tuned them out as he looked at Clover intensely. "Next time you enter this room, make sure to be doing something that will be useful to the team, not some useless party tricks" The emphasis on the last part broke her even more. Liam Gunderson also thought her abilities were useless, was that why he didn't look happy when she first came, is that why he didn't talk to her at all? Clover felt no need to hold back her tears anymore. She slowly nodded then lowered her head, when she couldn't take it anymore she walked towards the exit, head down, while letting out quiet sobs.
Everyone she passed looked at her in sympathy, but Clover couldn't care less, she needed to get out before she suffocated.
"Dude! What the hell is wrong with you, you can't tell her that! " Lance was now angry at Liam because he said those harsh things to Clover without even hearing her out. " What I said was true" Liam simply retorted, but was cut short when he saw the disappointment in his friend's eyes, "wow, I never thought you'd go that low, what happened to you" Claire didn't mask the disappointing glare she sent to Liam " Yeah, she didn't deserve that Liam, we were the ones who asked her to show us what she could do, and it was a good moment" Clara finished, shaking her head.
"Guys, look" Claire exclaimed and everyone turned to look at what she was looking. The vines on the wall were quickly withering and the flowers turned black and died. All that was left were traces of where the vines once were. Everyone had surprised look on their faces, even Liam. "Whatever you told her seem to hurt more than her feelings Liam" Claire said sadly as she picked up a dead flower from the ground, " I guess words are the deadliest poison " She finishes sadly before returning to her exercises.

Liam was so angry at the moment that he didn't even filter what he was saying to Clover, and he said pretty hurtful things to her and obviously didn't mean a single one of them. He felt his wolf whimper when he saw how he made Clover cry and his heart felt heavy with guilt.
He stormed out of the gym and went to his room and closed the door behind him. He started pacing back and forth thinking, he couldn't approach her now because she was upset and hurt. He couldn't also apologize because he never knew how to, that was his personality. Then it hit him like a lighting bolt, and without hesitation he shifted into his massive black wolf and started sniffing her scent. She smells really good and his wolf let out a small howl as he basked in the sweetest. He knew where she would be, so he jumped down the window and headed for the woods where he met her in is wolf form, hopefully she will be happy to see the wolf.
