After having walked about 2 miles and gotten to the top of a small hill, Cipher looked down and could see the town of Sol in the distance. From what he could tell it looked like an ordinary town that you would see on earth though a little smaller and more quaint. Cipher noticed that the buildings looked as though they were built during the Edo period in Japan, reminding him of Imaicho Town. During his first life Cipher wasn't able to leave home ever, so he would instead use the internet at school to view places he wanted to see. One such place was Imaicho Town, Japan, it was one of the few places Cipher thought he would be able to walk through history.
As Cipher walked down the hill and got closer to the town Sol he could clearly see the distinct resemblance it had to Imaicho Town. The town looked like it was newly built with all buildings having tile roofs, walls that were beautifully crafted and glossy, and streets that were clean without a single weed in sight. For Cipher this was a dream come true, never would have been able to experience this in his previous life, so he was going to take full advantage of the opportunity he had now. Not far from the entrance at this point, Cipher picked up that pace running down the hill towards the town entrance.
Walking up to the entrance which looked to be a large wooden archway, Cipher could see people walking throughout the town, "DEM there are people here like actually people!... Why are there people?". It was a valid question since Cipher had chosen to go to the Land of Dreams and Legends, he had fully prepared himself to see elves, dwarfs, or Kemonomimi (People with Animal traits).
So seeing "normal people" walking around was actually way more confusing to Cipher than you might expect. Saving Cipher from the small mental crisis he was having DEM responded, "I can't say for sure, but this may not be the only town with 'humans'. Once we get to the Knights of Light Church we should be able to access and gather more information.
As Cipher was about to walk through the gate a man appeared right in front of him materializing out of thin air. The man looked like a Buddhist Monk. having a shaved head, a long flowing silver robe, and a bead necklace to top it off. The man did a waving gesture before speaking in a soft tone, "Welcome to the Town of Sol, my name is Toli. So I may better assist you, could you please tell me the reason for your visit?"
Toli had a pretty good idea of why the boy was visiting, the vast majority of those that came to Sol were Knights of Light. It wasn't often that they came through, but as Toli had been around for some time he had the opportunity to meet the few that did. Each of the Knights of Light he had met all had the same unique characteristic, white hair and silver eyes. What made this boy stand out was his age, he looked as if he was 15 or 16 years old. It wasn't that big of a deal, but it was a little strange as all the Knights that came before him were in their late 20's.
Attempting to show respect Cipher repeated the waving gesture that Toli had done prior before explaining, "My name is Cipher, I was told that I needed to come here and go to the Knights of Light Church. I would love to see all the sights that your beautiful town has to offer, but I think it would be best if I went directly to the Church. Toli now had a smile on his face that went from ear to ear, it filled him with a sense of pride whenever someone would compliment the Town of Sol. Cipher having complimented the town after having just arrived left a deep impression on Toli, "Sir I would be happy to take you the Knight's of Light Church. It is far and I know a path that will both get you there in a timely fashion and provide you with some of the 'beautiful' sights the town has to offer".
Cipher could help but give a light chuckle before answering, "Thank you, I would like to take you up on that offer". Having decided to follow Toli they began walking down the streets of Sol. As they walked Toli explained the different places that they would see and walkthrough. At the beginning of the trip, they walked over a dazzling bridge that had was built out of jade with gold trim on the rails. They passed many houses all elegant and well kept, Cipher felt like everything in the town was stunning in comparison to anything he had ever seen in either life at this point. Not only was the town beautiful but so were the people, but in looks and in the way they treat each other. Whenever someone in the town would see Cipher and Toli they would stop what they were doing, just so they could wave and say hello as they passed by.
After passing through the town's market place Toli finished the impromptu tour by taking Cipher through the Bamboo forest. The forest was very serene with dense and extremely tall bamboo stalks making up the entirety of the forest. After walking on a winding road that took them through the forest, they came to a clearing where Cipher could see what looked like a cathedral. Cipher couldn't help but think that it was a good thing the Bamboo forest was here because this building totally killed the aesthetic of the town. As they got closer to the 'church' Cipher was able to see many large pane glass windows that seemed to depict fights between men and women with white hair and demonic-looking creatures.
It wasn't until they had gotten about 50 feet from the church that Toli stopped Cipher to say his goodbye, "It has been my pleasure to bring you to the Knights of Light Church, I wish you good luck in your endeavors and will pray that we meet again soon". Waving goodbye as Toli walked off Cipher yelled, "Thank you for everything, I will make sure I come back to see you so you can show me all the other places Sol has to offer". Toli stopped and turned around to face Cipher giving him a smile and a bow, then as if he was never there disappeared as though he was apart of the wind.
