Through the clouded mist of white and grays, it opened up to a familiar room workspace. Parts scattered across the room, limbs of past models still linger here and there. The inventor took a deep, yet tired breath out before he wheeled himself to his desk. Long nights with little breaks had him drained. But though with fourteen failed experiments already, he wasn't ready to give up just yet.
He looked at his blueprints for the next subject. S.Y.M was his next project to build. Though her design was more different than the other ones, as he wanted to see how he could express 'beauty' with different shades of metal on one Droid. He picked up his pencil and made some final adjustments to the said design. But instead of being a ten minute adjusting turned into a thirty minute adjusting. Hence him loosing track of time when he sat there thinking of what to do to make it different.
Once he was proud of the design and the functions, he began reassembling the blank figure, taking some metal parts off and replacing them with pre-made slabs of different shades of gray. Though he had to step back a bit to see the progress, wiping away some sweat from his forehead. Cyrus took a deep breath as he looked at the time, seeming so that two hours have passed. He huffed quietly as he proceeded back to work, time to time again he had to clean off his glasses a few times.
But in a matter of four hours, S.Y.M was completed. Proud of his work, he decided to test the waters and turn her on. Which this time he was successful with having the Droid turn on without it shorting out in the first few seconds like the last one. The Droid opened her eyes and just stood there, but with a simple code implemented into her mainframe, she started to move on her own. She looked around to register the room.
"Hello S.Y.M", greeted Cyrus. S.Y.M looked down to him, finding a suitable voice through her mainframe. Her eyes clicked before she blankly said, "Hello." Cyrus smiled brightly at the first success with having a Droid being able to talk. "My name is Cyrus Borg, I'm your creator." He said to her, hoping her memory card is working this time. "Cyrus Borg. My creator. Noted" She repeated the words back, but in her own perspective.
"S.Y.M my destination. Noted." She said, noteing down her own name. Cyrus was thrilled by the success, though she lacked something like the previous ones. But he couldn't pur his finger on it. Though he didn't want to dismantle her, as she was one of the proper working Droids he had made. "I want to see how you can function with moving and flexibility. Can you please get me that wrench over there?" Cyrus commanded in a soft voice. S.Y.M looked over to where he had pointed.
She walked slowly to the tool and picked it up. Walking back over to him and holding it out to him. "Thank you", he said as he took the wrench from her hand. She registered the politeness he was carrying out before she replied with a small, "You're welcome, Cyrus Borg." She said in a monotone voice. There could be a few adjustments here and there he could work on. But otherwise, he liked the outcome of S.Y.M.
[Dream ends here]
Cyrus woken up to his phone buzzing, though as tired as he is, he didn't want to answer it. But instead he did anyways. He picked up his glasses before he actually picked up his phone. Sitting up slightly so he could talk to said person quietly. "Hello..?" He said as he answered the person quietly. "Hello Mr. Borg, how is your morning today?" SYM said in a soft tone. Knowing well that Cyrus was still half asleep. "It has been interesting honestly. Mainly my dream", he said to the other on the phone.
"Well thats interesting indeed! Well, I have a meeting for you today if you wish to proceed with it. One company wants to do a collab with you on the presumed latest transportation." Sym said to him. Though she had to turn on her camera so she could show him some of the writing on the board that was updated for today. Down at the meeting room that is. He moved his phone away from his ear so he could see it. Not really noticing that he had Acronix barely in shot.
"Well since I don't have much to do today, I could take this meeting and be scheduled for this afternoon." Cyrus said quietly. "Certainly sir! I'll have them notified as soon as-" sym was starting to say before both ends started to glitch out. Cyrus blinked for a second at what was happening before he took his time to look at the back of his phone, opening its case to see if something was wrong. The call suddenly ended and it was dead silence.
"Stange. Nothing looks wrong with my phone." He muttered, though just to be safe, he gently wiped the back of his phone with a clean dry cloth that layed on his night stand. Putting the case back on and letting his phone turn on, he turned a bit to see Nixy still sound asleep. He blushed faintly before he smiled softly. "Ill let you rest for a bit longer." He muttered to himself as he looked back at his phone. He unlocked it before clicking his contacts and recalling Sym.
She eventually picked back up, though her systems was a bit messed up on their own. "Sir. I don't know what happened. But whatever happened with pur connection had scrambled my sensors." She admitted. "Try rebooting yourself for the time being. It seemed to have work with my phone. I'll be down for breakfast and we can talk there." He said to her, she gave a small hum before she said her goodbye and hung up.
Cyrus gently put down his phone and had the same process from last night reoccure to help him get into his daily clothing. Having a black shirt on than a turtle neck this time with his casual jacket and black pants. He tighten up the screws in his mechanical arm before he founded himself ready. Well almost besides for his messy hair. Taking a brush, he tamed the wild beast that is his hair. Brushing it down to the usual side with the stragglers of strands tucked behind his ears before he readjusted his glasses.
He turned to Acronix before he gently shook him. "Nixy its time to wake up, hun." He said softly to him, Acronix let out a small groan before he opened his eyes. "What time is it..?", the time twin asked in a deep, yet sleepy voice. "It's 7:45. We should head down for breakfast", Borg said softly to the twin, not wanting to be loud in case Acronix wasn't a morning person. (Even though Krux is the one who isn't a morning person-)
Acronix rubbed his eyes before he sat himself up, his mind not even registering that the covers wasn't exactly covering his torso. Cyrus thought for a moment before he got an idea. "I have some clothes for you to try on, if you don't mind" he said to Nixy. Acronix looked at him and nodded quietly. Cyrus pressed the button so that the cranks could turn and have the belt move round.
He stopped it once it arrived a red shirt and black jeans. He took them both off the hangers and handed them to Acronix. "I had Pixel put a few clothes that she picked for you put in here in case if you was needed to be in recovery again." He said, Acronix took a moment before he nodded, still sleepy as it is. Acronix gently pulled the covers off of him and he got out of the bed. Cyrus had himself get into his wheelchair with the help of the device on the side of his bed.
He picked up his phone and placed it into his pocket before he actually turned on the lights. He turned his head to see Acronix buttoning up the crimson shirt he was gifted. Already in the black pants he was gifted. He registered how formal he looked with the button-up, collared, long sleeved crimson shirt. It having cuffs at the end of the sleeves that had buttons to hold them back on the sleeves itself. Black jeans to match it even. But though his boots was nowhere near to match it.
Cyrus had the wall-mounted pair of hands pick up a pair of shoes. He took them into his own hands before he sat them down onto his lap and he wheeled himself over to Acronix. He handed him the short black boots. "Shades mother said you and Krux liked to wear boots, I hope you like these." He said softly. Acronix took them into his hands and he smiled greatfully. "Thank you Cyrus, I do like them" he said joyfully. He sat back down on the bed and put them on. Zipping them up on the side before he tied them. Finding it the right size for him.
"I honestly didn't expect to look so formal like this", Acronix admitted to the inventor. Cyrus smiled lightly. "Well, I believe you look handsome in formal clothing." He said, though his face heated up a bit after realizing what he said at the end. Acronix blushed a bit before he let out a small chuckle. "T-thank you" he stuttered a bit. He picked up his hairtie and pushed all his hair back so he could put his messy hair into a ponytail. "Shall we head to breakfast then?" Acronix said in a questionable tone, Cyrus nodded with delight. "Yes, of course"
