The following morning Bernadette woke up with a slight headache. The big eye bags were a proof that she hadn't had a shut eye the previous night but she was full of energy.
The recent findings had left her mind in a daze and between thinking about her father as a cheater and about her mother's death she felt that something was off. She couldn't afford to be tired.
She put on her clothes and used powder to conceal her eye bags before heading out. She didn't look for Walter but instead went straight out of the house.
She took of a cab and headed for Elsa's place. It was around the western side of the bridge and a little closer to the central area of the city.
She soon arrived at the familiar house but was unwilling to go inside. Last night she had tried calling but afterwards decided against it and decided to come in person. She was already feeling bad as it was and she didn't want to add guilt to it.
