"So are you going to open the next one?" he asked letting go of her.
"You don't have to ask," she smiled and tore open the wrappings and brought out a birthday card. She glanced at the writings and folded it and put in in her pocket, "I'll read this when I'm sober."
She wasn't that drunk but she still wanted to read his card when she was clear headed. She didn't want to miss any word.
"It's fine," Bryan gave her a tight smile. "You want to eat the cake now?"
"Will you eat with me?" she asked and took out the spoon that was placed in the cake box.
"Sure," Bryan pulled out his own spoon from his trouser pocket, "I was afraid you won't let me eat it so I brought extra spoon…"
"You're so unpredictable." She teased and punched his shoulder playfully. She found it weird that he would keep a spoon in his trouser pocket.
