She packed her bag, squishing every last thing she thought she might need on the first day of school. It was her first day of being a senior in high school, which she longed for.
Dragging her feet to the kitchen in her black t-shirt, which was imprinted with a neon green logo, her chains of necklaces and messy grunge blue hair, she quickly got an apple which was lying around and got out of the dull, empty house.
Her black eyeliner made her eyes look like a cat's. The pink blush made her look cute yet scary, along with the dark purple lipstick. For the bottom she wore a checkered white and black skirt, which was accessorised with a long, silver butterfly chain.
She wore a neon green beanie on her head, which matched the logo on her shirt, with a little bit of her long fringe tugged out. That was her look. The outfit that served the intention of wanting to be able to attract some attention to herself, having none at home.
Having arrived at the school's front gate, she viewed the school's front, scanning everybody's face one by one. From the other fellow seniors she knew, to the new fourteen year old freshmen. It was always a habit she had.
"Dear students, please quickly proceed to the school hall now, for your morning assembly. We have an exciting program for you today!"
Upon hearing the announcement, she rolled her eyes and brisk walked into the school. "Gaby!!" She heard her name being called. Gaby. That's her name. "Hey Alex!!" Gaby ran towards her childhood best friend and hugged him tight, but avoiding her face from being ruined.
"Gurl you look so good I may be jealous!" He held her small, delicate hands in his.
Alex was a soft fem boy, which others presumed. He'd usually wear skirts and 'girly' clothes to school, despite the looks that he always got from people. He always had pink, peachy makeup on, which made him look really cute and flashy.
He always had a thing for fashion, and was never limited to only those of 'his' gender.
No matter what people thought of him, he would always just do his thing. Always finding ways to inspire other people to be more confident in their own skin, like he was. That's why everybody loved Alex.
"Honey, I know but how come I've never seen this skirt before? It definitely suits you!" And on went their conversation of catching up and rants from all of the previous long summer break.
