The two best friends were walking deep into the school, still chit chatting, eyes sparkling with joy. It was about an anime, called Boku No Hero Academia, which was one of the anime series they have been binge watching for the past summer break.
Alex and Gaby were slowly strolling towards the hall when something, or someone caught her eye.
A girl that stood at the very side of the hallway, possibly finding a way to get to somewhere as she looked very lost. Like a lost puppy trying to find its mother. Her ginger-ish coloured, long hair aligning with the flow of her body, to her chest.
Her face was accompanied by cute, round framed glasses that match the shape of her face perfectly. Her lips were of a mix of peach and orange colour, which brought out a little fall vibe to her.
Her hands held a small yellow notebook, and a small, brown thermoflask, which had a little bear sticker. She wore a beige turtleneck, topped off with a brown, vintage-ish overall.
That girl attracted Gaby like a magnet. Everything else in the hallway was blurred out and out shone a spotlight on that cute girl. From her almond like eyes to her cute yellow sneakers, Gaby admired her. Never had she seen such a beautiful, adorable girl in her school before.
Taking one step after one step with Alex following suit Gaby brought herself to the front of that girl. And what happened next, could've cost her a whole chance.
She slammed the other onto the nearby wall, closing the space with her arm that stood right beside the other's left ear. Between the two had about maybe a few inches. No, even less than 'a few inches'.
Gaby leaned in, making sure her lips softly brushed against the other's ear, "Lost, butterfly? What's your name?"
"Va-Va-Vanessa.." she whimpered like a scared, baby cat.
If you were at the scene itself, you would've seen how red Vanessa's face was. Beet red.
"You're.. you're too...close." she breathed heavily. By then everyone who was at the hallway itself could see what was happening. You could slice the tension in the room with a knife.
But Gaby did not move. Instead, she moved closer, and closer, and closer till their breasts could've touched.
"Tell me where you want to go and I can help you." She whispered into Vanessa's ear, a tint of interest evident in her voice.
"I said...get off me!" and she pushed Gaby out of her way and rushed into someplace no one really caught on.
Humiliation and failure was thrown upon Gaby, who thought she finally could get a chance of finding herself a girlfriend, who thought she could finally have some attention to herself. She thought she had nothing left.
This wasn't what she wanted.
This was never what she wanted.
She could sense the amount of shame forced into her, the amount of dirty looks she was getting from everyone else.
Alex then quickly dragged her out of the scene, quickly pushing past everyone to avoid anyone else from seeing her. He didn't like seeing her hurt like that. As her best friend, he never liked seeing her so vulnerable.
Gaby did not cry, neither did she forget how much she might have impacted on Vanessa. The amount of questions she put on herself was uncountable.
