Synopsis
"Don't say it Zuko." He looked hurt. "Why not?" Her eyes were moist and she turned away from him and said in a quiet, resigned tone. "It sounds too final and what if..." She let out a dry sob and he instinctively wrapped his arms around her and spun her around so she could rest her head on him. She relaxed a bit but was still a little tense. She finished her sentence, whispering into his shirt. "What if you don't come back?" Zuko suddenly held her at arms length and studied her face with a raging passion in his eyes. "Hey, look at me. I will NEVER leave you. Ok?" Katara nodded but pulled him closer to her and captured his lips in hers for a burning second. They both knew what it was. A declaration of love...

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Azula threw lightning at him when she realized that he wasn't going to help her. Zuko rolled out of the way just in time. Aang smiled at him, glad that he finally chose his side. Iroh's face shown with pride and happiness. But that didn't last. The Dai Lee rushed toward them from all angles, surrounding them. They didn't have anywhere to go.

"Well, well, well," Azula said scathingly. "Look what we have here. A banished prince, a traitor, the Avatar, and two accomplices. This must be my lucky day."

"Azula, please. I know that there is good in you somewhere. Everyone can be redeemed. Your brother was." Aang pleaded to her nonexistent good side.

"You know. I think you're right. If my brother can be redeemed, so can I."

Zuko looked at her with shock. He shook his head. "Don't trust her, Aang. Azula always lies."

Before Zuko could say anything else, Azula cut him off with a lightning blast. "Now. Tell me how I can be redeemed."

"NOOO!!!"

Zuko sat up suddenly, gasping for breath.

"Prince Zuko! Are you alright?" Iroh asked him.

"I'm fine, uncle. Just a nightmare."

Iroh gave him a sad, understanding smile.

Katara longingly looked at the sea. She missed going all over the world and traveling with her friends.

"Umm... excuse me?" A little boy I had seen around the beach a lot came up to me.

"Mmm?" She didn't take her eyes off of the ocean.

He went in front of her.

She sighed. "What is it?"

"Well, I was wondering. I've heard of you.., and well, I just wanted to ask you if you were..." He kept fumbling over his words. "What's that?

He wasn't focusing on her anymore. He was looking at the ground.

She looked down, and there was a poster lying on the floor. She picked it up. It was a wanted poster. She gasped. It had Zuko's face on it! She quickly crumpled it up before anyone else saw it.

"umm.. you were saying?"

"Are you Katara?"

"No. Why would you ask that? Well, you just look similar that's all."

He looked so embarrassed, that she felt bad for him. "Hey. Can I tell you a secret?"

He nodded eagerly.

She looked around dramatically to make sure no one was here. She leaned up close to him and said, "I am Katara. But shh. No one knows. I'm in hiding."

He smiled so wide that Katara had to laugh. The little boy reminded her of Aang. Her smile became sad as she thought of how much she missed Aang and the group. She thought of the day she lost everything.

"Azula! What have you done?" Katara rushed toward Zuko.

"I'll be fine Katara, just beat her. Please."

"No. You are not going to die." She took the spirit water she had been saving and healed his lightning wound.

"Oh, well. If I can't kill Zuzu. I guess I'll kill the Avatar instead."

She struck Aang in the heart with lightning. Aang looked surprised at first, and then confused and scared. All these emotions passed his face in less than a second.

"Kat, Kat!" The little boy shook her from her trance.

She started. "What?"

"Oh, you're all right. Thank god."

"Yeah... I'm all right." She tried to believe it.

"No, no, no! That will NEVER work!" He yelled at his advisors. "We have to attack when they're the weakest. The solar eclipse."

"With all due respect, we don't have enough men to win. The solar eclipse is only for a few minutes. We can't possibly do the siege in such a short amount of time. We would have to attack before the solar eclipse sets, and we wouldn't win." Darcy said logically.

Sokka looked at General Darcy. He felt threatened by him. A lot of his people started to agree with Darcy and stand against Sokka for some time. Darcy had to go. He had to make a statement. He had to show his men that HE was the boss, and standing against him had consequences.

Without a word, Sokka took out his sword and cut off Darcy's head. The head rolled on the ground, and Sokka stopped it with his foot. Darcy's body fell on the table, and many of the men around the table jumped at his sudden act of violence.

"Now. Anyone else against this seige?" He asked while cleaning his blade with Darcy's uniform.

Everyone took an audible gulp and shook their head no. Sokka smiled a ghost of a smile.

"Good."
