Aurora Crimson POV
"Maybe a stew mushroom soup to go on the side?"
"Yeah, that could work. Or we could go all the way and order a full course lasagna"
"Come on, you know I don't have money to throw around like that!"
I Opened my eyes as my body became conscious once again. I raised my head slowly and proposed myself up against the bed head. I looked around the room to see that I was in some kind of medical room. A curtain closed the small door sized opening connecting this room to the adjacent one. I could make out the silhouettes of Jane, Eliza, Jasmine and Jacob in what was evidently the dining area of the room.
"Hey I'm going to check up on Aurora," Jane stated standing from her seat.
"Okay" They all murmured incoherently.
She walked in and looked around, jumping in surprise when she realized that I was missing. She was about to scream so I jumped out from behind the wardrobe where I hid and grabbed from behind, making sure to cover her mouth.
She struggled against my grasp, unaware of what exactly was going on. I pinned her against the wall, still cupping my hands over her mouth.
"Hey, it's me! It's me! Shhhh!" I whispered frantically. She calmed down and looked at me.
"Aurora?" she was shocked.
"Hey"
Jane wrapped her arms around me and hugged me tightly. I emulated her gesture.
"We have to tell everyone!" Jane exclaimed running out to the room and dragging me behind her.
"Everyone?" I asked her before we went out of the room.
"Huh?" she asked feeling a bit confused at my question.
"Um I mean how many people are here currently?" I asked
"Three excluding me and you?" she answered with a 'duh' tone.
"Jacob and Elizabeth will make it two so who's the third person?" I mumbled.
"Eh, the third person is your classmate with bright purple hair"
"I think her is Jasmine or something like that" she said while scratching her head looking for answers in the air.
"Wait what's all the question for? let's go!" she said as she dragged me out of the room with huge force.
As soon as we got to the living room in the room where everyone was the previous noise died down as they looked at the grinning Jane standing next to me in shock.
"…" I looked at them with puzzled looks.
"How the f*ck are you standing?" Jasmine was the first to talk amongst them, thus breaking the awkward silence.
"What do you mean?"
"There's nothing wrong with my feet or is something supposed to be wrong with me?" I asked feeling a bit concerned with the weird vibe and looks I was getting from them.
"Um…." She hesitated a bit.
"Well on with it" I said impatiently.
"You see during your match with Ashley, you struck one of the pillars in the arena causing half the part where your fight took place to collapse" she explained with casual tone.
"Well that doesn't still explain the reason why you all were giving me burning gazes" I said curiously.
"After the collapse, you were unconscious found under the debris of the remains of the arena with your bones broken and shattered."
"So how long was I unconscious for?"
"Two weeks and some days"
"????"
"If I was unconscious all this while then shouldn't the tournament be over?"
"Theoretically Yes, but due to some incidents that happened while you were out cold the Grand Council decided to hold the 'Battle for the Crown' as a normal tournament in our Kingdom" Jacob explained in-depth.
"So how is the tournament going to be this time around?" I asked catching up to their conversation with my reasoning.
"Well, according to my sources the rules concerning the tournament has changed a bit."
"Go on" we all replied.
"Judging from the number of the contestants that qualified for the second segment of the tournament the next phase of the tournament is a 'gauntlet match' he smiling at himself.
[Which is creepy by the way]
[^_^]
"So a 'Gauntlet Match' huh?"
"Well I guess it can't be helped" I said smiling inwardly to myself.
"So how many get to qualify for the round?" Jane asked the most important question.
"Eight" he answered with a smirk.
"???"
"What do you mean eight?" Jane asked frightened by the answer she just received.
'Does this girl have wax in her ear?' Jacob thought to himself.
"I mean the number of people who get to move on to the next round are eight and 'Eight' I mean last eight in the gauntlet" Jacob said feeling a bit frustrated.
"And when is the next round going to take place?" I asked him
"Ten days from today" he said with an absolute tone which affected the majority in room except from me and Jasmine.
"Oh, and one more thing the rules for the gauntlet are; Don't kill each other." With that he left us to our own thoughts.
I was deep in my thoughts thinking about the gauntlet when Jasmine pulled me back to my room.
"Aurora, a word?" she asked.
"Yeah sure"
"What do you want to talk about?"
"I had a vision about you during your duel with Ashley" she said with her eyes shut.
I was starting to space out when her words hit me like lightning.
Aurora seemed like she was going to collapse any time soon as she was standing like a motionless puppet.
Fearing what might become of her if she was to disturb her she drew back from her in fear.
Before she always thought of Aurora as a Goddess but after her weird vision her respect for her increased ten-folds.
Like a cultivator who just attained breakthrough her eyes lit up, the once mysterious aura that was surrounding her during her duel returned before she regained consciousness.
Like as if nothing happened she was soon back to her usual cheery self.
"So what were you saying?" she asked with beads of curiosity lit up in her eyes.
"Umm, I had a vision about you during your duel with Ashley" still feeling the oppressing force from her imposing aura she managed to stutter out for the second time.
"Well, I won't call it a vision" she stopped a bit looking at Aurora for confirmation before she continued. Receiving no confirmation from her she took it as a sign before she continued.
"At the point when you had your mysterious transformation I fell unconscious and that was how it started"
"I saw someone who looked exactly like you whom she introduced herself as the Moon Goddess. She told about your true but before I left the 'Abyss' she told her premonition about you and told me to tell you something"
The last sentence was all Aurora managed to picked up as she was still deep in her thoughts thinking about the upcoming gauntlet.
"What did she say?" she asked anxious about the answer.
She immediately thought about the time she saw her Ancestor as she had this weird feeling in her heart.
"She said 'To Remember'" she replied bluntly
"Huh ?" Aurora exclaimed
