Nether Region {Aurora's PoV}
Being a rider is very different than being a mage. As a rider we are automatically connected to the mana depending on the elements and abilities your dragon has. The Physique of a normal is rider is a bit different to humans. A rider shares a core with his/her dragon which makes them connected and since dragons themselves are embodiment of man thus the conclusion that we are different from mages. But that's not my point exactly.
In the Forest,
Using soul sense which mildly absorbing the mana in the air I detected every presence five hundred miles (500) from me. Apart from few wild beasts that I've detected I haven't detected any being yet. After another hour of doing nothing than meditating I abruptly took my leave into the forest and use the beasts to hone battle skills further and wile away time.
