3rd Pov
The sun shines through the window at our silver haired friend. His eyes flutter open. He rubs the sleep out of his eyes and looks at Ruby. She was on his chest, sleeping peacefully. He rubs her hair a bit before slowly pushing her off. He gets up and stretches. He then walks to the lockers and grabs Aether.
Atom: Morning, Aether.
Aether: Morning Atom. No Ruby?
Atom: Eh, I woke up early.
He puts her around his neck and walks outside.
Atom: Aether.
Aether: On it.
She summons a laptop, a pair of headphones, and a Mic. He looks at the demos many submitted for the new song. He put a little verse from the new song he made (I don't own anything!) He picked the third guy because his voice was exactly what he was looking for. He emailed the guy, and put his stuff away. He looked at the time. It took forty minutes to go through all the submissions. He went back inside and went to the cafeteria. He saw Ruby in line by herself. She had a smile on her face. Atom smiled and slid behind her. He put his hands on her sides and started tickling her.
Ruby: A-Atom Hahaha, S-stop, hahaha!
Atom: Hmm, what is the secret code?
Ruby: Hahaha, I- Hahaha, I love you!
Atom: Hmm, that'll work.
He stops. Ruby had the biggest smile on her face, but she also had a massive blush.
Ruby: You jerk! Don't do that to me in public!
Atom: What? It's fun and also adorable the way you laugh.
Ruby: Atom, if you do that again, you'll get no brownies for a week.
Atom instantly got in an up right position. Ruby laughed mega hard.
Atom: You're in so much trouble after initiation.
Ruby sweat dropped a bit.
Ruby: Go easy on me.
Atom: Maybe, but for now, let's get you some cookies. And also some strawberries.
Ruby instantly jumped up and kissed Atom.
Ruby: You're the best boyfriend in the world!
Atom: You're the best girlfriend in the world.
They got their food and ate. Atom got an egg omellete with sausage, peppers, and cheese. Ruby got cookies and strawberries but also got an egg omelette, same as Atom's, but she added more cheese. They ate and Atom walked Ruby to her locker. While that, Atom was starting to sing his new song on accident.
Atom: Ooooooooo, all will fall for once!

Ruby: That's a beautiful song Atom.
Atom: Thanks, that's my new song I'm making. And you got a little taste.
She smiled and skipped along. They made it too her locker, and Yang was there.
Atom: Hey there, Yang the Bang!
Yang: Hey there Silver!
They put their hands up and started lightly slap boxing, before hugging. Yep, that's how Atom and Yang greet each other.
Yang: Good morning you two love birds.
Ruby: Morning sis.
Yang: So, are you excited for initiation?
Ruby: Yep, no more awkward conversations or small talk. Just me and *grabs Atom and C.R* my babies get to do the talking.
Yang: Ruby, you aren't the only one going through initiation, you know. You need to talk to more people.
Ruby: Ugh, you sound like dad. And I don't need to grow up! I drink milk.
Atom: That strengthens your bones, Ruby. Not make you grow taller-
Ruby chops Atom's head, leaving a bump.
Ruby: Hush, you know what I meant.
Atom: *Rubs head* ow.
Yang: You two are the perfect couple. Anyways, what about teams?
Atom: What about them?
Yang: Well, maybe we should be on different teams to break out of your-
Atom: Nope, no, not going to happen. Yang you know me, it's not easy as like walking to a person and saying "hi" to them is easy for me. You know this.
Yang: Then, what will happen if you're placed on a different team?
Atom: Probably not perform at my best. Like I said, I only work well with people I know on a personal level. Hint, hint, you and Ruby.
Yang: Okay fine! You're right.
Intercoms: Will all first years meet at the cliff. Again, can all first years meet at the cliff.
Atom: About time.
Aether: Atom, clothes.
Atom: Oh, right.
His clothes transforms into a white coat with red lines on the arms. Under the coat was a red vest with carbon fiber in the slits for more mobility. His pants were also white with red outlines and his shoes were white and red.
Atom: Righty, now I-
Suddenly, Jaune flew pass Atom's face. He looked at Jaune, who had a spear stuck on his hood. The Spartan took her spear when she walked by him.
Spartan: Sorry!
Atom: At least she's nice.
Yang: Having trouble there lady killer?
Jaune: I don't get it? My mom said that all that women look for is confidence.
Atom: Okay one, that is incorrect, it's just not confidence. Second, I don't think Snowflake was the best route to go.
Ruby: Come on Jaune.
Soon, everyone made it too the cliffs. Atom was between Ruby and Yang. Ozpin started his speech.
Ozpin: For years, you have been trained to become warriors. And today your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.
Glynda: Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams. Well allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates. Today.
Ruby: What? *Sad whimper*
Atom: :(
Ozpin: These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you work well with.
Ruby: Aww.
Atom: *Hugs Ruby* its okay.
Ozpin: That being said the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years.
Ruby: *Glass shatters* What!?
Atom: That made my ears hurt, OUCH!
?: See, I told you.
Ozpin: After you partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die.
Atom: Gee, thanks for encouragement, what next, a giant dragon will destroy Beacon?
Jaune: Hehe *gulp*
Atom: 'Oh he gonna die real quick. Like, if I had a stopwatch, as soon as it would start, he would die.'
Ozpin: You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation, but our insuctors will not intervene.
Atom: Okay, pause for a sec. What would happen if let's say, a behemoth comes out of no where? Like, even IF I can kill it in one hit, my aura would be drained to zero because of my semblance.
Ozpin: If an emergency like that happens, we will get a team to get you out immediately.
Atom: Cool.
Ozpin: Back to the topic at hand. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will gaurd that item as well as your standing and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?
Atom: Yes, one important one. Are these relics important?
Ozpin: There's one special one that hasn't been found for years. That's it.
Atom: Huh, a challenge then?
Ruby: What are you thinking?
Atom: What? I got big brain! I can do this.
Ruby: Promise me you'll make it?
Atom: Ruby, I made it all the way here by a four hour drive from home. I ain't going back, even if they force me.
Ruby: You really hate long rides huh?
Atom: Well, not just that, but they would have to lock me up in a max security prison to keep me from staying at your side.
Everyone except for crdl: Aww.
Atom: Well, down anyone?
He walks off the cliff and everyone gasps except for Ruby and Yang. They slowly see blue embers rising, as Atom flew into the air.
Atom: Woohoo! Hey Ozpin!
Ozpin: Yes!
Atom: Would this not be considered on the ground? Because you said once you've landed! I haven't even touched the ground yet.
Glynda: I mean, he's not wrong.
Ozpin: Well, I guess so Atom.
Atom: Thanks, now bye!
He blasts off, leaving everyone amazed. Soon, everyone gets launched one by one. Jaune was asking Ozpin some stupid questions, but he got launched doing multiple flips in the air. Ozpin just sipped his mug. With Atom, he was searching for the secret relic. He saw a weird looking cave. It was at the very South West of the forest. He made his way to the cave and lands. He went inside and saw multiple implants in the walls. It was a story about a skeletal figure waging a war between his own kingdom. He then read the bottom part of the implants.
Atom: "Goliath."
He slowly started to feel Aether pull him towards something. He started to follow the pull while reading the engravings on the walls. He then saw the Goliath win with his throne. The engravings then stopped. There was a door, which was weird because this is a cave. He opened the door and saw a symbol.
It was floating by itself. It looked robotic in a way. But it was an eye that looked like its been through hell and back. He walked closer to it. The eye then looked at him.... scared? He then grabbed the eye and walked out of the cave. He looked at the eye one last time before Aether took it.
Aether: I guess that, that's the relic?
Atom: I mean, it looks alive. It moves and has emotion. Plus it looks special in a way.
Aether: We should probably head to the ruins to help the others.
Atom: Yeah, you're right.
With Ozpin, he was watching Atom. He opened his eyes wide when he came out with the symbol.
Glynda: What is it?
Ozpin: The eye accepted Atom.
Glynda dropped her scroll and looked at Ozpin's. She was very surprised. Back with Atom, he made it to the ruins. Just in the nick of time too. He saw Ruby's cape get caught by a Nevermore feather. A Deathstalker walked up to her and was about to hit her with its stinger. But a silver blur went past her. She felt heat to her left. She saw Atom holding the stinger
Atom: Oh, you are in so much trouble, you giant overgrown scorpion.
He pulled the stinger and ripped it off of its body. Then he stuck it right in the eye and backed up a bit. Then he ran and dropkicked the stinger further in its head exploding it.
Atom: Huh, stinger plus pushing it deep in a Deathstalkers eye equals explosion.
He then turned his head towards Ruby. He ran to her and gave her a big hug.
Atom: You idiot! You would've died!
Ruby hugged him back.
Ruby: Hey, it's okay, I'm alright right?
Atom: *Sniff* I don't want to lose you.
Ruby: Hey, I'll be more careful okay. Just stop crying, I hate seeing you like this.
Atom stops hugging her and wipes his tears.
Atom: Sorry, I just don't want to lose anyone else I love.
Ruby: You won't, I promise.
She gives him a little kiss and the walk off.
Atom: Hey Weiss.
Weiss: Hello Atom. Did you find your partner?
Atom: Nope.
Ruby: What do you mean "nope?"
Atom: I didn't get a partner. But I did get a relic. Aether.
She summons in the floating eye. It looks around and squinted its eye.
Atom: This little thing right here.
Rub: Woah, what is that?
Atom: have no clue.
The eye than looked at Atom and the others. It flew ehind Atom and hid.
Weis: That's a weird relic.
Atom: Yeah I know, but I think it's what Ozpin was looking for. Okay little one, back to Aether.
It opened its eye wide and flew on my head.
Aom: Oh? You want to stick around?
It mved up and down as a nod.
Atom: Oay then.
Jaune then looked at the Nevermore flying overhead.
June: Guys, that thing is circling back.
Weiss: Look, our objective it right in front of us
Ruby: She's right, there's no reason to fight these things.
Jaune: Run and live, that's an idea I can get behind
Atom summons his sword and puts it on his left side. The eye was jumping around happily, seeing the outside world. Atom smiled and went up to the rest. He jumped on the rock next to Ruby
Atom: You ready Rosebud?
Rby: I am, what about you Silver?
Atom: Wen am I not ready?
She giggles as both of them wave at the others to follow. They all hid behind a part of the ruins as another Deathstalker ran out from the forest. Atom went to fight the Nevermore with Weiss, Yang and Ruby. Atom shot his katana out of the sheath and hit the thing right in the eye. It screeched in pain as Atom pressed a button on his sheath making the blade get yanked out of the birds eye. It returned to its sheath as Atom pulled it out normally this time. The bird came at Yang, crashing into the structure below, making her parkour back to solid ground. The bird than busted through the bridge, throwing Jaune and Nora on the other side. Blake then got hit by the pincer of the Deathstalker and gotknocked back on the side with the other four.
Jaune: Oh man, we need to get over there, they need hep!
Nora: Tha let's do this!
Jaune: Uh only thing is, I can't make that jump
Nora smiled at Jaune and knocked him back. She turned her grenade launcher into a hammer and slammed it down on the bridge to get Jaune over. She then stood on the hammer part of her weapon and shot out the grenade launcher to boost her over to the scorpion and slammed down on it. She saw it still moved and pulled the trigger hurting it more. Jaune saw the stinger barely holding onto its tail
Jaune: Pyrhha
Pyrrha: On it!
She threw her shield at the stinger as it stuck into its own head.
Jaune: Nora nail it!
Nora: Heads up!
Pyrrha bounced her off of her shield to get some air time. She giggled while in the air and flipped hitting the stinger dead on, killing the beast. They all landed on solid ground and Ren fell on the ground in pain. With RWBY and Atom, they were fighting off the bird.
Atom: We are going no where with this!
They then all started to attack with range. Yang was using her shotgun gauntlets, Ruby was using the sniper part of C.R, Blake was using her pistol part of Gambol Shroud, and Weiss was using gliffs to summon ice shards. Atom on the other hand was trying to sneak up on the bird. It flew right past him and he jumped on its back. He used his semblance and put the blue flame on his sword. But when he tried to hit it, it did nothing.
Atom: Okay then, guess I have to go all out.
His blue flame than turned bright silver. He stabbed the birds wing as it flung Atom on the cliff. While that happen the bird crashed through the ruins multiple times, making Rwby run across broken parts of the ruins to get to the solid parts of the ruins. Ruby looked at the other three and Atom who was struggling to get up. She closed her eyes and remember was Atom said after a month of him training with their family.
Atom: I know that fighting is fighting, but it's not pure strength that can lead to a victory. Strategy and teamwork can land you a victory only a team could do.
Ruby: Why do you say that?
Atom: Because me and you are always a team.
She then opened her eyes and looked at Weiss.
Ruby: I got a plan, cover me.
Yang jumped in the birds mouth and started shooting shots in it.
Yang: I-hope-you're-hun-gry!
She then jumped off before it crashed on the cliff. Weiss dashed by her as Yang ran to the rest. Weiss froze its tail in place and jumped back. While that, Atom was charging up his semblance, making his breathing at a certain pace. Blake shot Yang the sword part of Gambol as she stuck it to the structure. Ruby than jumped onto the ribbon going back as Weiss summoned a black gliff, keeping it still.
Weiss: Of course you would think of a plan like this.
Ruby: Think you can make the shot?
Weiss: Hmm, can I?
Ruby: Can't?
Weiss: Of course I can!
Ruby cocked her weapon as Weiss shot her at the bird. Ruby shot some shots behind her boosting her further. She then grabbed the bird by the throat of her scythe. Weiss put more gliffs on the edge of the cliff to speed her up more. Ruby yelled as she used her shots from her sniper to boost her all the way to the edge and sliced its head off. But that's not all. Atom opened his eyes as his sword caught silver fire and increased the length ten fold. He then brought the sword down.
Atom: Die in the pits of hell!
He sliced the bird in half as it slowly pulled apart. Atom slowly put his katana back in place. He stood next to Ruby with a smug grin. The others look at Ruby and Atom.
Jaune: Wow!
Yang: Well, that was a thing.
Ozpin: Russell Thrush, Cardin Winchester, Dove Bronzewing, Sky Lark. The four of you retrieved the black Bishop pieces from this day forward you will work together as team CRDL. Led by, Cardin Winchester.
Ozpin: Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward you will work together as team JNPR. Led by, Jaune Arc.
Jaune: What, led by?
Ozpin: Congratulations young man.
Pyrrha went to give him a playful push, but end up knocking him down. She smiled brightly to not be awkward.
Ozpin: And finally Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee and Yang Xio Long. You four retrieved the white knight pieces from now on you four will work together as team RWBY. Led by, Ruby Rose.
Ruby had a smile on her face while Weiss had a surprised look.
Yang: Oh, I'm so proud of you!
Ozpin: And last but certainly not least, Atom Leviathin. You have retrieved a very special relic. A relic no one has seen in over three decades. You retrieved the Iris symbol, which represents determination, succession, passion, and love. And because it chose you to be by its side, you can keep it.
Iris bounced around in the air happily next to Atom.
Ozpin: Also, for your prowess of fighting and leadership you will be something no one else has seen for a decade. You, Atom Leviathin, are going to be the co-leader of.......team RWBY.
Crowd: Woo!
Atom: I am humble for the placement sir. But I have a question, why?
Ozpin: Because Atom, you've shown me that you have a pure heart not a lot has. You have shown me even through tough times you can make a person smile. You always put others first and yourself last. I see a great Huntsman in you Atom. I hope you can see it too.
Atom: I do, thank you Ozpin.
Atom walks off the stage and walks to his team.
Atom: So, now what team?
All four of them had bright smiles. Ruby's being the brightest of them all.
Ruby: Yes! Yes! Yes! You're on my team!
Yang: You did amazing out there Atom, the way you jumped on that bird with no hesitation and stabbed it in the wing making it slower for us was a really good idea.
Weiss: And your coordination is really good to.
Blake: I don't know about you girls, but I enjoyed it when he cut the bird in half with his semblance.
Atom: I told y'all I had a surprise.
They started to walk towards their dorm as it opened when Ruby scanned her scroll. The room wasn't much. Just a moderately big room with a bathroom. They're four beds and four desks.
Atom: This is a nice room. Nicer than any hotel I've been in.
Ruby: It is defiantly nice.
Yang: I call the one on the far right!
Blake: I'll take the one at the right of the window.
Weiss: I guess I'll take the one on the left of the window.
Ruby: I'll take the one on the very left.
Atom: I'll take the floor.
Weiss: That's another thing, we got one boy in a room fool a girls.
Yang: Oh, don't worry about Atom. He's the most focused on privacy when it comes to women.
Atom: Hey, I like giving people privacy, I'm sorry if that's a bad thing.
Weiss: Okay if that's true, there's nothing to worry about.
Atom: I also promise not to do anything inappropriate or disturbing or uncomfortable without any of y'alls consent, but I will make random jokes to make y'all laugh.
Yang: Yeah, but I make good puns.
Atom just stood there until he started shaking.
Atom: War flashback!
The girls giggle at his actions. He smiles and takes out Iris.
Atom: Hey there bud, you doing fine?
It nodded and flew around the room curiously. It then stopped in front of the five.
Atom: Well, guess introductions are in order. I'm Atom Leviathin, co-leader of team RWBY.
Ruby: Hello, I'm Ruby Rose, team leader of team RWBY. But also proud girlfriend of Atom.
She says while holding Atom's arm. Weiss had a little jealous look on her face. She then walked up to the eye.
Weiss: My name's Weiss Schnee, I'm the heiress of the SDC and a member of team RWBY.
Yang then excitedly went up to the eye.
Yang: My name's Yang Xio Long, proud member of team RWBY and sister to the leader.
Next was Blake.
Blake: My name is Blake Belladonna, proud member of team RWBY.
The eye then jumped around.
Atom: I heard Ozpin call you the Iris, is that your name?
It nodded as Atom walked up to it and tapped it.
Atom: Hope we can be good partners and friends!
He says while smiling brightly. The eye closed up and jumped around. Aether than went in her normal form as Blake and Weiss freaked out.
Aether: My name's Aether, nice to meet you.
Iris nodded and Atom looked at Weiss and Blake and forgot they didn't know about Aether. After a long explanation, they accepted Iris and Aether to the team. Aether than summoned an acoustic guitar for Atom.
Blake: You play?
Atom: I don't just play, I make music. You might know me as the Broken.
Weiss: You're the Broken? Prove it.
Atom: Okay, you might know this one Weiss.
The girls cried after hearing the song. Heck even Iris and Aether cried.
Weiss: You are the Broken, he's the only one who I've heard that has that type of voice.
Atom: I mean, I'm still working on it, but it still sounds nice. You also did great too.
Weiss: Thank you.
Blake: That was a very sad song.
Atom: Yeah, it was made during the time I had severe depression after I was abused. I lived with Yang and Ruby after I got out of there. But, now I'm as happy as I could ever be. I have a nice home. I have friends who care for me, a girlfriend and now, a team to be apart of. I'm still not ahundred percent back to normal, but I'm working on it with the help of Ruby and Yang, and hopefully you two.
Weiss: Of course we'll help, we're a team after all.
Blake: Of course, you seem like a nice guy.
Atom: Thanks, now I think it's time for us to get some shut eye, what do you girls think.
Rwby: Yes.
Iris: *Nods*
Aether: Yes please, today was exhausting.
Atom: Well, you girls get changed, I'll be taking a shower.
Weiss: You take a shower before bed.
Atom: Uh, yeah I do, I don't like to smell myself after a long day when I go to bed.
(This is true with me, I can't stand it.)
Weiss: Touchè.
Atom goes to the bathroom and locks the door. He grabs his old spice stuff to take a shower. (Not sponsored.) After that he puts on his sleep wear which is basically shorts and a sleeveless shirt. He brushes his teeth and dries his silver hair. He look in the mirror and then the scars on his wrists. He's glad Ruby found him before he'd done something he would regret. He turns off the bathroom light and walks out. He sees that Yang and Weiss was asleep. Blake was reading a book.
Atom: *Whispering* What are you reading?
Blake: *Whispers* Shine Brighter, why?
Atom: Do you have another copy?
Blake: Yeah, you like to read?
Atom: Of course, it's good for the mind.
She passes him a copy and he thanks her. He went to sit on the ground, but Ruby pulls him onto her bed.
Ruby: *Whispers* What did I tell you about how I can't sleep without you!?
Atom: Sorry, I didn't want to make it awkward.
Ruby: *Sighs* well it doesn't matter now, because you are going to sleep on this bed, not the floor at all, got me!?
Atom: Hehehe, yes Ruby.
Ruby: Good, now let me cuddle you.
She put her head on his chest and wraps her legs around his left leg and wraps her arms around him.
Atom: Goodnight Rosebud.
Ruby: Goodnight my love.
