As Viola was in the air -clearly stunned by the crushing strength of Endo's snake body- it seemed that her life was about to end at that moment.
Suddenly, Maki, after tending to Vincent, rushed immediately to meet Viola in the air in an attempt to save her.
But as she rushed to Viola, she realized that it would be impossible to escape the jaws of the snake with both Viola and herself.
So in a desperate attempt, she met Viola in the air and pushed her aside.
As she did so, she thought to herself, as she watched Jason amidst tears, "I hope you avenge me, Jason!! Whatever you do, don't let this man leave here!!"
Jason -who heard her thoughts as he met her gaze also with tears- yelled as he saw her in the jaws of the giant snake, which immediately shut close.
"MAKI!!!!!!," was all he yelled as he realized that his friend and teammate has been devoured by the snake.
Endo himself was not pleased as he understood what happened and whined, "That brat!! Well, at least her Mana should be enough for me to finish these lot and recapture that girl again!!"
Everyone who saw what unraveled -even Viola herself as she got up and saw that Maki had taken her place- were horrified.
Jason however was boiling with rage, but he just stood still, eyes zoned out.
All that he felt was the urge to kill.
Yes, that was the only emotion that he felt to release.
Suddenly, he started screaming as he dropped on the ground, clearly in pain.
Esmeralda was watching the entire process but was stunned as she fully understood what was happening.
Jason started having unusual bodily changes: his eyes were now a burning amber color; his body became more hairy; he started growing fangs and he was on his fours.
He then started growling unnaturally; as if he was some sort of animal.
But that was not the ultimate mind-blowing part; because a bright yellow aura of Mana clouded his full body and as such, those outside could not make out what was going on.
As the aura suddenly disappeared, a figure replaced the once brash and excited young boy.
Because what was once his entire body now took the form of a wolf, and it was a huge one.
And that wolf had a black fur coat; possessed a big jaw, had huge teeth inside its mouth; had amber colored eyes and matched with a growl that meant only one thing: kill!!
And by the time Esmeralda realized this, it was too late.
"That boy, Jason Howler!! He's a Werewolf!!," were the words that expressed her fears.
