The meeting had begun, and for ten minutes, an account on the number of casualties and damages at the Colosseum were revealed.
Claudius shook his head with his hand on his chin, saying, "This is rather unfortunate to hear. Nonetheless, no lives were lost so that is at least some good news."
He then paused and looked at Vincent, who was deep in thought concerning all that transpired between him and Endo.
"Young Vincent, is there anything that concerns you right now?," the Emperor asked, which brought back Vincent's attention.
Vincent then replied, "My lord, nothing really bothers my mind….except that the intruder we faced earlier was able to pass through the city's defenses in the first place."
He said this with a serious demeanor and locked eyes with Omar, the second member of the Council of Mages.
"What are you insinuating, if I may ask? Pardour's entire defense was strictly enhanced and developed by yours truly, and I can guarantee you…no one can make it through without me knowing of it," Omar said rather abrasively.
Vincent then replied, "Exactly my point. How come you did not notify the guards or your fellow Mages on that account about the intruder?"
He then walked up towards Omar, stared dead in his eyes and asked, "Or is there something you would like to tell us?"
"You brat!!," Omar retorted back in anger.
Claudius raised his hand and said, "That's enough, Vincent. I understand your point, but accusing a member of the Council of Mage for treason is a heavy issue."
"I am not accusing him, my lord. I am just trying to understand the entire situation, that is all."
Claudius then sighed and then continued, "It does not matter at this point. There is another issue I would like to address. Actually, two in that matter."
The entire room was in dead silence waiting for what the Emperor had to say.
"The first is concerning a certain Jason Howler," which made made Maki and Vincent a bit tensed, knowing the dire circumstances concerning his newly found status as a Werewolf.
"And the second—" Claudius breathed in slowly and then continued, "—is with the Mithril Invaders and a possible war."
