Chapter 23 - Gotta Grind Again

After gambling up my latest batch of skills I get dressed and start my work out routine, then fill the fire pit and light it. The fresh cut wood doesn't burn well but I just need it to smolder abit to keep the ground under me warm as I sleep. Turning in for the night, I wake up in my bed. Getting up I head to the farmers market to help out, afterwards I return home and workout abit indoors before cooking and booting up my xbox. I get on titanfall and resume grinding out every weapon, not sure if it'll ever help, also get the hacking skill. Rodeoing titans is nerve wracking but I do a few before the nuke titans show up, I'm not getting blown up. Near midnight I finally quit and curl up in bed.

Waking up in my delightfully warm shelter. Good lord I should've done this sooner, I can definately make it through winter like this. Well assuming I can get some hides for insulation. But at least I'll live long enough to get to the superhuman threshold. So I start the days normal routine, get some breakfast and new pets, level my skills, grab a few trained pets and further train them with Teach Intimidate while I meditate in the creek, then run to the fire to warm up and gamble a few skills.

First I max out my new Tribal Spell Sacrificial Drowning then.

Tribal Spell Share Aquatic Skills + Tribal Spell Sacrifical Drowning = Talent Breathe Water Mana

Breathe Water Mana: As long as there is Water Mana in the area your skin can absorb it as it would oxygen, this will slightly weaken all water spells used on you.

....huh

Tribal Spell Share Aquatic Skills + Teach Intimidate = Tribal Spell Fish Eyes

Tribal Spell Fish Eyes: You permanently convert a willing target's eyes to those of a fish cost 60 energy

Why is this even a thing!?!

Tribal Spell Share Aquatic Skills + Spear Handling = Recipe staff of the eel goddess

....

Tribal Spell Share Aquatic Skills + Grasshopper Leap = Giant Seashell Grip

Freaking sweet finally an awesome power to hold onto anything!

Giant Seashell Grip Lv1: When diving and gripping a giant shell you have +1 strength and using 10% less stamina maintaining you Grip

...no...

Tribal Spell Share Aquatic Skills + Sprint = Weary Tribal Casting

Weary Tribal Casting Lv1: When your energy is below 10% the low energy penalty is reduced by 1% when casting Tribal spells.

...pretty sure this is awesome but useless to me

Tribal Spell Share Aquatic Skills + Backpacking = Water Logged Backpacking

Water Logged Backpacking Lv1: When your backpack is Water Logged it eats at the durability and disrupts your balance 1% less

It's something

After drying by the fires I stretch, get dressed, and start dancing with my spear. After doing this for a while, I start wood carving again, I finished with the two items mid afternoon, then quickly weave a scrappy vine backpack and put a few woven items and my new carvings in it. Then strip down get the pack good and soaked then go for a quick nude jog up and down the creek bed to try and practice water Logged backpack jogging I guess. Then it's time for dinner and bed. Man my heated bed feels amazing after a strenuous day.

Waking up in bed once again I'm wondering what to do, all my plans have gone awry, grinding skills might technically help but the difference is so negligible I can't tell, I need relevant skills.

I go ahead and search carrot recipes in fallout 76 and eso, not thrilled with the 76 options, 76 does offer a decent path to master salt as an ingredient.... simply planting and harvesting might be the best I could do. Some carrot growing skills might amazing if I start a garden, otherwise it's just useless. Could also try buying ingredients in bulk on eso and going for an alchemy skill, if it's a real world ingredient it might boost my cooking abit. I'd love something that restores health or stamina, but focusing on real world ingredient the easiest item is sadly spider eggs... so spiders eggs and blue entoloma is the easiest to but in the guild shops and done...

Alchemy Spider Eggs: Increases alchemy level and experience gained by 0.1% when alchemizing with spider eggs.

Alchemy Blue Entoloma: Increases alchemy level and experience gained by 0.1% when alchemizing with blue entoloma.

Alchemy Clear Water: Increases alchemy level and experience gained by 0.1% when alchemizing with clear water.

Alchemy Invisibility Potion: Increases alchemy level and experience gained by 0.1% when alchemizing invisibility potions.

Huh, pure game skills? It's been a while

Alchemy White Cap: Increases alchemy level and experience gained by 0.1% when alchemizing with white cap.

Alchemy Bugloss: Increases alchemy level and experience gained by 0.1% when alchemizing with bugloss.

Alchemy Increase Spell Resist Potion: Increases alchemy level and experience gained by 0.1% when alchemizing increase Spell resist potion.

Alchemy Butterfly Wings: Increases alchemy level and experience gained by 0.1% when alchemizing with butterfly wings.

Alchemy Mountain Flower: Increases alchemy level and experience gained by 0.1% when alchemizing with mountain flowers.

Alchemy Health Potion: Increases alchemy level and experience gained by 0.1% when alchemizing health potions.

Alchemy: Increases alchemy level and experience gained by 0.1% when using alchemy

This was alot faster than I expected, I check my points balance, need 32 more for another game.

Why not something stupid easy, like eating ants?

2 hours later

Gathering Ants: Your perception and endurance are both 0.1% greater when collecting ants

Eating Ants: Improves your ability to digest ants and dicrocoelium dendriticum by 0.1%

Well the gathering ants skill was an unexpected bonus but I've still got 30 left to go.

Hmm I've got plenty of old balls I could bounce on a closed down city building?

Throwing basketball: Basketballs you throw wear on your body as if they weigh 0.1% less and gain 0.1% kenetic energy

...why can this system have a more coherent pattern

Throwing Tennis Ball: Tennis balls you throw wear on your body as if they weigh 0.1% less and gain 0.1% kenetic energy

Throwing Golf Ball: Golf balls you throw wear on your body as if they weigh 0.1% less and gain 0.1% kenetic energy

Ugh I hope I have better luck on the other side
