Suzui was not one to dawdle. As soon as I got my results, she dragged me right away in the direction of the Adventurer's Guild.
Nobody had to officially join, but they posted Adventuring-Specific jobs there. It was also where you could get your Skills checked, buy Magical Spell Charts, and find fellow Adevnturers to Party-up with for Dungeon Raids.
Suzui herself was registered as as a Spear Class Intermediate-Advanced Mage. She never stuck with the same Party, her personality too complex to be likable. So she'd became an Official Adventurer under the Guild, so that they were required to make sure she had the best possible chance of coming back alive.
There was a Guild in each city to regulate the three Dungeons of that area, and any Adventurers that wished to Raid them.
Because she was official and all, the Guild Moderators already knew her, and were probably judging me based off how she acted. Bad decision on their part.
Suzui and I were completely different people, which is made even weirder by the fact that she basically raised me. Everyone who met Suzui first would assume her personality was too strong, and would washout any form of individuality I had. Except they didn't know I'd really raised myself.
There was that, and the fact that I'd become a Runner fairly early on, needing the money and having realized it was the shortest route one could take on the path to becoming a Blacksmith.
So the Moderator at the desk eyed Suzui, then me, then the Class Test Results. I could tell the Moderator was both nervous to accept another Kodona, and terrified of what Suzui might do if I was refused. Smartly, the Moderator asked,
"Would you like to get Skill checked?" Heck yeah! Wait...Skill check was actually a Skill itself, so then someone else would be able to see I wasn't Human. Maybe...not a good idea.
I certainly couldn't use the same lie as before, because the Skill check would prove I didn't have Camouflage. I shifted, trying to hide my concern.
Nobody would be happy to learn that, if a Spawn was intelligent enough, they could in fact leave the Dungeon. At least that was my theory as to why I'd been allowed out. It could've also been because I was not directly hostile toward most other Mages.
Suzui sacrificed me easily.
"Yes, he'll take it right now!" Oh thank you dear sister, I shall now hate you forever. The woman flipped through to an empty page and cast a Spell on it, handing it to me.
"Your Skills will only Show to those you trust, so don't worry about people finding out your weaknesses."
Bonus! I eagerly searched the paper, Suzui trying to peek over my shoulder. I glared and pressed it possessively into my stomach, not sure if it'd let her read it, and not willing to find out. The nice Moderator lady gave Suzui my information form to fill out. I smirked. She stuck out her tongue.
Sitting at a nice, empty table, I peered at the peculiar parchment.

This was...new. I guess Liches were pretty great. I didn't even have any Class Skills yet, and yet here were these amazing skills. Of course, I didn't know how to use most of them to my advantage, and with them came many disadvantages.
Such as my obvious and obnoxious weakness to Healing, and anything of the Life Affinity. It made sense, I was dead.
Also, the sexless thing...or nothing.
And the fact I couldn't taste food, that would get annoying. Oh yeah, that last Skill too. Like, what the Hell was a Phylactery? A major pain in the ass.
But...I suppose all the epic-ness had to be balanced out somehow. Why not by linking my essence or whatever to some object I didn't even know about?
It could be a twig for all I know. Someone steps on it, and I'm gone for good.
I decided to make a list of possible Phylacteries later, but for now I focused on the Lich Transformation Skill.
It'd given me all those extra Skills and power, along an Enchanted Mage's Robe. I was keen on practicing that first. Also maybe it could change my Species, at least in name, so that I wouldn't have to be even more paranoid than usual. Only one way to find out, am I right?
I hoped Suzui wouldn't mind too much that I ditched her.
