Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: A Day in Town (part two)

"Watch what you say boy!" Ava exclaimed. The boy finally looked up and his face went as white as snow.

He bowed deeply and said "My apologizes princess." As he said that you could still hear the fear within his voice.

"Rise little one, it's ok" I said trying to calm the young boy down. "Why were you running?" I asked again.

Just as I finished my sentence a big man came through the crowd and said with his deep loud voice "My thanks goes out to you your majesty, for catching this little thief."

"Their?" I said back with disbelief.

"Yes, their your majesty, he stole a loaf of bread form my cart. He was going to get away with it to, if you hadn't stopped him." He said in a matter of fact way.

As the big man finished saying the the little boy moved closer to me, I took a quick glance at the boy and now that I looked at him closer I could clearly see the boys rib cage.

"I apologize sir that this boy has stolen from you, please allow me to pay for the young boys loaf of bread." I said not really asking for his permission.

"No need your majesty, I will just take the boy with me and be on my way." He said not wanted to give me the boy.

"Oh but I insist." I said. Then Ava chimed in.

"You wouldn't want to offend the princess our future queen now would you?" She asked the man, a small smirk appeared on my face.

"Of course not your majesty, just forget this whole insistent happed!" He said quickly while turning to leave. Then I turned to the little boy and asked him for his name.

"My name is Charlie your majesty." He said as he kept his head low

"Please raise your head, Charlie, and please drop the your majesty already." I said while chuckling a little. He nodded his head a looked at me.

"Your very pretty!" He said in a small voice.

"Why thank you, you are very handsome if I do say so myself." I said while giggling. His face brightened with a huge smile.

"Would you sir Charlie give me the honor of you showing me around the town?" I asked while taking in a very polite voice.

He laughed a little and replied "It would be my great honor." His face was bright with a big grin.
