"Should I just disappear from this kingdom then?"
They were stunned by her sudden words.
"Or better yet, from this land?"
They didn't understand what she was implying.
"Then maybe..."
She breathed deeply and then blew through her mouth to keep her calm.
"Maybe you wouldn't be so on guard with me because I wouldn't be there to stop your princess from being together with the crown prince of Qillian Empire?"
She wasn't dense as to not realize the reason why these people are being so unreasonable even though they have seen what had happened.
That everything was not intentional.
They frowned at her words.
Saphira laughed in return while her eyes were filled with mock.
"Okay, I can apologize for pushing her but then will she apologize for grabbing on to my wound?"
They realized that her left arm was bleeding profusely, blood dripping on the ground.
"But... But she didn't mean to, your wound was hidden," one replied but it shocked them that she was still wounded, yet still standing like nothing in front of them.
Saphira blinked by the words she had just heard.
It was at this time that the rest of her group has arrived and noticed the commotion.
They had the mythological beasts ask Vermilion Bird through their connection about what was going on.
They were stupefied upon hearing everything.
They wanted to walk over but Vermilion Bird also informed them that they should leave it to her.
"I also didn't mean to push her. Are you still going to make me apologize?"
Saphira raised an eyebrow towards them when she saw them look at her arm.
Did they really think that she was evil enough that she would push their princess out of jealousy? Without some proper reason?
Or did they think she was so stupid as to openly go against their princess right in their territory?
Nevertheless, even with what they can see, their words still irritated her to death.
It was obvious they'd rather put her in a bad light than accept the truth.
"She was crying and asking you nicely, if you didn't turn around without giving her an answer-"
And that's when everything went blank in her head.
Tears, just because of her tears they chose to make her the villain.
Just because of some stupid tears that could easily flow and she was painted as the bad one.
"SHUT UP!!!!! WILL YOU JUST SHUT UP!! I'M TIRED FOR THE DAY, I JUST WANT TO REST. IT WAS THAT CRYBABY PRINCESS OF YOURS WHO CAME HERE LOOKING FOR ME!!!"
They were shocked to hear her shout.
Even her group was shocked, she always maintained her cold calm voice and not once did she lose control when she was angry.
Saphira bit her lower lip, taking deep breaths after shouting.
She wasn't intending to but their stupid reason just kept on going.
"You all are aware of my relationship with Hunter. And she..."
She gestured with her hand towards Elizabeth, "And she was asking me to give him to her?!?"
They looked away.
She scoffed seeing as they were well aware but even they thought it was just right for her to give Hunter to Elizabeth.
"It was as if, she was asking for a thing, an object that I can just let go once one asked for it. Hunter is a person, he's a human."
She looked up then looked back at them.
Her friends could see that she was truly about to lose control of all her emotions.
"I have no control whether he goes with me or you."
She clenched her hands into fists, "And all of you are seriously spoiling her with such thinking."
"She... she didn't say he was an object-"
He held his tongue when her sharp eyes turned to him.
"If you aren't a knight of a kingdom, whose king was a good friend of our emperor. I would love to hit you right now. Are you listening to yourselves right now? Are we some kind of kids in here that you are telling me such lousy excuses?"
She once again brushed her hair up, "Basing it with what you are saying now, you really wanted me to do what she wants me to do then?"
Saphira laughed in agitation, "I'm sick... and tired of this already. I'm sick and tired of people like you who uses their weakness to get what they want."
She glared at them, her ruby colored eyes were filled with indignancy.
"Who are you?"
They were stomped when she asked them this question, even Elizabeth.
"Hmmm? Tell me, who the hell are you to speak in such a way towards me? Should I just explode? Should I just burn your kingdom down?"
Everyone present swallowed hard seeing as she can do what she had just said.
"You all are just waiting for our protection..."
She looked at each and everyone who are currently surrounding them.
Almost every single kingdom they have visited had this kind of mentality.
Were they really born to give up their lives for these people who can only think of themselves?
"So what right do you have to ask me something impossible?"
Her eyes went to Elizabeth who suddenly felt fear in her heart.
"Tell me, should I just be the darkness and burn everything? Then maybe you will have the right to ask me everything that you want. You will have a reason then, that I killed a lot of your people so I need to pay for it."
No one could speak, no one could answer her.
They all felt that Hunter was right for Elizabeth and that he has feelings for her just like how she developed some feelings for him after the days that they spent together.
They had always thought that the engagement between him and Saphira was but on paper and that there were no feelings in there.
Or simply put, Saphira was the only one who has feelings for Hunter and not the other way around.
