Chapter 250 - CHAPTER 250: What Mistake Did You Do?

Vermilion Bird faced him with his normal bored look, "What?"

Qirin stared at him seriously, "There are still things that don't add up to your story after so many things have been revealed."

As they spoke, even if they were facing one another, their attacks didn't cease.

"We have told you everything, what else do you want to hear?" Vermilion Bird asked still.

"First things first… you."

Qirin watched him closely but Vermilion Bird didn't show any signs of change.

"What about me?"

Instead he calmly asked.

"If things were the way you have said then the normal thing is that, you shouldn't be here."

Vermilion Bird burned another demonic beast, "You don't want me here?"

Qirin frowned and the atmosphere between the two of them turned stiff.

This was felt by the rest of the beasts that are fighting either beside them or below them.

"What's going on with those two?" Black Tortoise couldn't help but to look up and ask.

The others shook their heads, they couldn't hear what they were talking about especially since there was a battle going on around them.

"You know that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about the nonsense story that we had heard about you and her regarding eight years ago."

Vermilion Bird stared straight in his eyes, "I can see that you have some thinking done."

"Answer me," Qirin insisted.

"My answer will remain the same as the past, that is the truth of what had happened."

Qirin wanted to argue but then Vermilion Bird suddenly turned to look at Saphira.

When they looked down Saphira had just made a turn and killed someone behind her.

She then looked up at Vermilion Bird and lightly shook her head.

"If I can I would love to torture that brat of yours," he said in gritted teeth towards Qirin before he went on a killing spree towards the demonic beasts.

Qirin could see that he really was angered and that their talk had ended just like that without him receiving any answer.

When Qirin looked down, he saw that Hunter was standing at the side while protecting Elizabeth.

Qirin frowned seeing that she had returned.

A few minutes ago…

Just as they were gaining the upper hand and explosions surround them.

"Hunter!!"

Hunter turned with wide eyes, Elizabeth had rushed back here.

"What are you doing here?" he asked as he made his way towards her.

"I…"

She was breathing heavily.

"The explosions were so strong, I got so worried…"

Hunter frowned before he defended from the one on his side and another attack came from behind him but was stopped.

When he turned, Saphira's face was filled with nothing.

It was emotionless.

"We'll speak once this is over."

Elizabeth shuddered when Saphira told her this.

Saphira's bloody clothes and her cold eyes were akin to someone coming back from death.

Without turning her back on them, Saphira jumped to the side and back.

She was moving so much but Hunter felt like he saw her back having blood in it.

He didn't know if he imagined it but there are still more incoming enemies, he couldn't keep on thinking about them.

But as he did defend and his eyes would wander from time to time, he noticed that something was amiss with the looks of the other six.

They would glance somewhere but wouldn't do anything.

This kept going until sundown before everyone finally killed the invading dark forces.

Hunter looked around when he didn't notice Saphira.

Just as he was about to ask, she stepped out from the cluster of trees.

He frowned instantly seeing her clothes that doesn't seem to be her clothes when the fight started.

Saphira noticed his look but she walked straight to Elizabeth without looking at him.

*PAK*

A loud crisp sound accompanied the rustling of the trees.

All of those surrounding them were in complete shock to the sudden turn of events.

Elizabeth blinked as she slowly touched her cheek, her head had turned to the side due to the strength placed on the slap she had just received.

"Sa… phira?" Hunter was stupefied as well.

Saphira turned to him with no emotions, even he himself couldn't read a single thing.

She had concealed everything completely.

"If she wasn't a princess and she has some abilities, I would have hit her more. Be happy I only hit her once."

Everyone snapped out of their shock and Elizabeth's subordinates was ready to battle it out with Saphira.

The princess was pampered by her three elder brothers and her parents, this was the first time they had seen her being hit.

And it was someone who was not even a family.

But before they could move, Saphira suddenly exuded a very strong aura causing pressure to fall on all of them.

It seems it was controlled for Elizabeth couldn't feel it.

"What mistake did you do?" Saphira asked.

Elizabeth's lips quivered at the coldness of her voice.

Saphira may have shown discontent a few times but not to this extent.

Elizabeth slowly looked at Hunter but Hunter remained silent.

He himself would have wanted to reprimand her for what she had done but Saphira made the move first.

Though he didn't expect this reaction from Saphira, seeing her look he has no desire of stopping her.

He had felt her discontent towards him these few days and him going against her now would only cause her more discontent towards him.

"Look at me and tell me what you have just done."

Elizabeth returned her look towards Saphira like an obedient child.

She knew she couldn't disobey her on her current condition.
