"No, because if I did regret them, then that only means I made the wrong choice. It may not always be correct to others but every decision has someone in mind," was her answer.
"Did my mother know about this?" he asked.
He could tell from his mother's words back then that she really was implying to this.
Saphira smiled, "About a year after I found out of their true feelings."
(Flashback)
When Felissa took a walk outside the palace and into the training grounds to check on the children.
She chanced upon Samuel and the other two, once again complaining about the kids.
She didn't expect to hear such words and she abruptly looked around to see if any of the kids were present.
And she was shock to see that Saphira was actually standing just behind her.
"Oh this..."
She was filled with worry.
"You don't have to worry, your majesty," Saphira smiled at her.
This shocked her greatly.
"I have known for quite a while now that these are their true colors," Saphira shrugged.
Watching a child act this way, Felissa couldn't help but to be hurt for her.
"I never really liked them, respect is all I have so I was not that hurt when I found out but then I don't have that much affection towards them. But if it were the rest, then surely it would be a disaster."
She reached her small hands and held Felissa's hand, she pulled her to have a walk on a different direction.
"You kept it a secret all this time?" Felissa asked in shock.
"Hmmm, it wasn't hard. I barely play around with them so I am good."
She was hopping as they walked and Felissa could only look at her with gentle warm smile.
"Aren't you a dear one?" she spoke and rubbed her head.
"Not really, there are just times where we need to keep quiet to maintain the order."
Felissa sighed looking at her, she really was a different one from the rest in her emotional state.
"Though my sister kept worrying about me, even though I told her that I really am fine. I just hope she wouldn't be too affected by it herself."
'Even now, she worries about her sister. A splendid child,' Felissa thought.
"If you become the Empress, you will surely do a great job."
(End Of Flashback)
That was also the first time that Felissa had openly wanted her as the next empress.
Saphira at that time just smiled at Felissa not answering or giving a comment.
Hunter placed his hand on top of her head, "I can never defeat you."
"It seems my gut feeling was right again," she chuckled.
"A scary gut feeling indeed," Hunter replied but his eyes were worrying about something else.
Admittedly, he was hurt himself that he just want to call his brother and ask him what he thinks of him.
But he was scared as well of the words he might hear.
"Go and call him, you have it with you right? The orb for communicating with the Emperor."
He looked at Saphira when she suddenly suggested this.
She can clearly see just what it was that he wanted to do.
What one fears the most is the fact that maybe the one you truly loves and treasure, would be the one to hate you the most in reality.
He pursed his lips before nodding his head and leaving.
Soon, Saphira was left alone.
She leaned her head on the back of the chair and closed her eyes.
She has a frown on.
Inside her, she was facing a dark looking her.
"They know now. The secret you wanted to keep. You are a failure."
"Indeed I am I have already accepted that from a long time ago. I couldn't save anyone back then. And I know all secrets will come out. But what can I do? I am not a God who can swiftly do things with just a flick of a finger."
The reflection was speechless, even though it has no mind of its own, to hear what they are supposed to say.
It was too frightening that they could no longer speak.
And when they could no longer speak then that means, it is their lose.
And all they can do is disappear.
"Admitting is a best way to defeat them but you have to admit it from the bottom of your heart without any thoughts of other excuses."
Saphira sighed and looked up at the egg that has more cracks on it.
When she opened her eyes, they seemed to have a tinge of gold in them.
'I was always absorbing small amount of darkness but this time after that scene appeared, I ended up receiving much more than necessary.'
'No wonder there appeared to be another reflection.'
'Yeah, most of the time it would just be headaches and all. That was what I felt in Qillian Empire. This time, a reflection and a head ache.'
'You need to rest.'
Vermilion Bird understood how difficult this is and didn't try to argue or tease her.
Plus, as a young child back then to hear it, Raynisha had wished she would grow up not remembering how the others see the whole lot of them.
But she has good memory, so Raynisha could only worry.
She sighed, 'I know.'
Despite her answer, she remained seated there even though the sky had turned dark.
"She's still here."
Close to midnight, the others started looking for her when she didn't appear during dinner.
She was simply seated on her chair and mind was somewhere else.
"Saphira."
Hunter walked over and grabbed her shoulder.
"What's wrong? What's with all those worried looks?" she asked looking at each of them.
"Are you aware that dinner has passed?" Stormie asked worriedly.
"I am."
She was definitely aware.
It's just, she didn't feel like moving.
Not even thinking about anything.
She just want to keep her head blank.
