Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

As we reached the school, I could hear the faint music coming from inside my school from the parking lot. Jason got down the car and ran across to hold the door for me again.

"Gosh, Jason. That's really sweet but you don't have to do it."

"I know" Jason grinned mischievously.

"Yeah, sure Mr.Know-it-all."

"Let's get going then." ,Jason held my hand, and I had to hide my blushing cheeks by letting my hair fall on the side of my face a little as we walked inside.

Neil and Honey were sitting on the corner drinking cold drinks, laughing and talking.

"Hey, Lia- Jason, over here." Honey waved her hand gesturing us to come over.

"Girl, you look pretty." Neil said winking at me.

"So, Jason finally asked you, eh?" Honey said grinning widely.

"You guys knew about it?" I couldn't stop smiling.

"Duh, I helped him choose the dress." Honey flipped her blonde hair dramatically. Her eyes travelled towards the door,"Hey there's Carly."

"Carly and Ryan. I didn't knew." I followed Honey's gaze.

"No one did. Ryan broke up with his girlfriend just few days ago" Neil added.

The dance started and the Neil took Honey's hand and lead her to the dance floor.

"May I have this dance my lady." Jason held his hand out for me. I dramatically held my dress with my left hand and bowed a little and took Jason's hand with my right hand.

The song was slow and I had never heard it before. I liked it though , wondering what song was it.

"Have you ever loved a women, by my favourite Bryan Adams" Jason said. "Yeah, its an old song" He said smiling awkwardly as he wrapped his hands around my waist.

"I love it" I whispered on his ears resting my arms on Jason's shoulders. Before I even knew the track changed and 'night changes' song filled the room with romance. We moved slowly along the beat looking in each others eyes. I felt like I had never felt before.

We soon got lost looking deep in each others eyes. Our breath heavy. Jason rested his head on my neck. His warm breaths made me weak on my knees. The music changed and everybody around us cheered and danced to the fast beat that was now playing but my head was too hazy to notice which song it was.

Jason slowly let go of me and left a playful kiss on my lips as he slipped his hands off my waist. I felt my cheeks burn. Jason looked at me and smiled gently.

I excused myself and went outside leaving Jason on the dance floor. I wanted to go out for some fresh air. My head was everywhere and nowhere at the same time. My body was burning inside, but instead of feeling uncomfortable as I usually did, I felt warm. I never remembered myself smile so much that my cheeks hurt.
